SharePoint subscribed calendar on iPhone?

We have a shared calendar on SharePoint that my team uses to track who is out of the office.  The site is only accessible when connected to our network (or through VPN).  I subscribe to the calendar in Outlook 2007.  My question is:  is it possible to sync the SharePoint calendar with my iPhone through Exchange?  My iPhone is synced with my Exchange account, but I'm not sure how to add another calendar that is viewable on my iPhone.

For anyone still having this issue, I found a solution. I wanted to unsubcribe from my Facebook events calendar, since Facebook is now integrated into iOS 6.
Under Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars...
The subscribed calendar will show up under the "Accounts" list (with email accounts and such). Click on the calendar subscription. It will take you to a settings page. At the botton there will be a big, red "Delete Account" button.
I discovered this using iOS 6, by the way, though I'm not sure if that matters.
Good luck!

  • How to remove/delete a "Subscribed Calendar" on iPhone

I have a calendar I supscribed to, but wont delete.  I tap on the red circle, but theres no way to remove it.  Help!
I Have a calendar on my iphone that I subscribed to.  It's under "other".  It wont delete!!!!  I tap on the circle... nothing....

I have exactly the same problem.
In the Calendar Prefs on a Mac running Mavericks, one can select "Show Holidays calendar" in the "General" tab. But this setting is seemingly only for the local Mac. One can use the Info panel of Mavericks Calendar.app to move this subscribed Calendar to an iCloud account, and then it sync's to other Macs/iPhones, but NOT to iCloud.com.
However, all these actions DO NOT affect the Holiday Calendar on the iPhone. For this one, one can only chose between show and do-not-show.
Result: as long as one has not all devices that one is syncing running Mavericks, it seems one will have a duplicated Holidays Calendar on the iOS 7.x devices.
ADDED: on Mavericks Calendar.app I can rename the Holiday Calendar, but this is not possible on the iPhone. Also, it seems that a color selected for the Holiday Calendar in Mavericks Calendar.app (and also a changed name) will not sync to the iPhone.

  • Ical subscribed calendar with Iphone?

I have a client that uses Ical for multiple calendars. All are his, except for one, which he subscribes to.
That one calendar is not listed on his Iphone. It is the only one missing.
Is this normal or is there a way to turn on this functionality?

This is how I managed to get a workround.
Note my wife does not have a Mac, she only has a PC and uses her Iphone Calendar to share her appointments with me:
Firstly I Set up a new user on my Mac for my wife, I then created her ICal account and set it to publish to the net and for it to sync with MobileMe. You can email to subscribed Calendar link to your own account and subscribe from the message
Then go to this link and follow what they tell you to.
    http://www.jacksmac.com/JacksMac/Jacks_Mac_Blog/Entries/2008/8/21_iPhones_Calendar_Can_Show_iCalSubscriptions.html
Once completed ICal checks the published Calendar and copies it to a local folder. You need to leave your Mac on for this to work.
In addition to this I set up fast user switching which really helps this process. I did this by:
System Preferences > Accounts > Login option (Bottom LHS of the screen) > Check the box saying Enable Fast user Switching.
You will then see your login name appear on the top RHS of your screen next to spotlight, switch your user to the second profile, Launch ICal and set Mobile Me to sync and leave Ical open.
Once you have done this switch back to your main profile and open ICal in the background, all Calendars should then sync through to your iphone and be updated every 15 minutes.
NOTE IN ORDER FOR THIS TO WORK PROPERLY, YOU NEED TO LEAVE YOUR MAC SWITCHED ON AND LEAVE ICAL RUNNING IN BOTH PROFILES.

  • How to sync Google Calendar 's subscribed calendars to iPhone?

I've subscribed to several country calendars in Google Calendar. I also managed to see these subscribed calendars in iCal, by setting my Google account in the iCal Account Preference. However, when I sync to my iPhone 4, I cannot see those subscribed calendars on my iPhone 4. Everything else is okay. I've tried both CalDAV & Gmail sync. Neither one works. Could anyone help me on this? Many thanks in advance.
    Gary

    Hi Gary,
I was having the same problem and was looking for a solution which brought me here. And about 30 seconds after reading your post I found a solution by mistake. Here's what I did.
    1) I set up my device like explained here.
    http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740
Which I believe you've already done.
    2) Then I went to my Google calendar and went to the subscribed calendar settings and copied the ical calendar address and sent it to myself.
    3) I clicked on the address in my email account on my computer, and it asked me where I wanted the subscription in iCal, so I picked the account I had linked to Google Calendar through the setup in step 1.
    4) That was it.
It now is part of my Google Calendar and no longer a subscription and shows up everywhere. Only problem is I can't change the color because it is now merged with my google calendar, but it beats having to subscribe to it on all my devices. Which is another option.
    Hope this helps.

  • Ical will not delete or add new events to subscribed calendars on iPhone or iPad

    So,
The crazy thing is...all of this works fin on my iPhone.
But, my wife, she has an iPhone, and iPad, and a user lognin on our computer where she keeps all of her calendars.
She subscribes to my calendars as well.
If I add anything to my calendar...it show up on her mac and not her iphone or iPad.
If I add something to my iPhone, it shows up on the Mac, but not on the iPad.
If she adds something to my phone, it shows up on her Mac and not on her iPhone.
If SHE adds something to one of the calendars I have subscribed to...it works fine.
This  is getting very annoying as marital dstrife continues to build as we are unable to plan our week by simply looking at the clanedar before we schedule something.
    PLEASE!  ANYBODY!!
    HELP!!
    Joon

    Hi Cara,
    Welcome to Discussions.
With iCal closed, try deleting it's preference file (User/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iCal.plist).
If this does not work try repairing permissions. Open Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility) and select your boot volume on the left and click Repair Permissions.
If neither of these work post back.

  • Turning off iCal subscribed calendars on iPhone

I have a number of calendars that I subscribe to in iCal on my computer. These are calendars I choose to leave turned off in iCal - and simply turn them on if I need to know the details - for example appointments being made by staff etc.
I note since Snow Leopard and/or 3.1 on my iPhone that these calendars are being pushed to my iPhone. I am having difficulty working out how to turn them off on the iPhone. It makes it near impossible to view my own calendars easily.
Is there a way of choosing which calendars you want 'pushed' to your iPhone? Or can you turn certain calendars on or off? I know I can select one calendar at a time on the phone - but that's not sufficient.
    Thanks.

    I have a similar problem.
One of my calendars that's subscribed to on iCal continually wants a user name and password. I type then in correctly, but it doesn't work ultimately. So i just want it off. I cannot, however, figure out how to.

  • Subscribed calendars - iPhone calendar gets extremly slow.

Hi, I tried to use subscribed calendars on iPhone. Due to the fact that there is still no brithday calendar implemented on iPhone I had to add several calendards:
1: brithday calendar - I published the iCal birthday calendar to mobile me.
2: calendar week - as there is still no ISO calendar week on iPhones CalApp I subscribed for a calendar with whole day events on every monday - showing the week number.
    3: a friends calendar - A standard Google calendar
With these three subscriptions, my MobileMe calendar and my ActiveSync the CalApp on iPhone gets extremely slow. Does anybody else does have the same problems. Having a limit with not more than two subscribed calendars, app speed is slow but acceptable. Having just one subscribed calendar we can speak about normal behavior.

You could reduce to 2 subscribed feeds by using a ISO calendar that is merged into an existing calendar in your .mac account instead of as a subscribed feed. Those numbered weeks aren't going to change, so why not just make permanent? I did the same thing in my Google calendar.
I have subscribed to 5 calendar feeds in iPhone 3.0 and have no speed performance issues. However, the calendar app only displays information for one of the subscribed feeds! I cannot get the other feeds to work. I have tried installing each one before and after the one working feed, but still they do not work. All the feeds work in iCal on my computer.
The 4 feeds that are not working properly on the iPhone are schedules to my favorite MLB, NFL and college teams from Yahoo! Sports. I want subscribed feeds because game times and t.v. listings change from week to week.
This is disappointing because subscribed calendar feeds was the major improvement I wanted to see in 3.0.

  • How do I get subscribed calendar events to show on my iPhone 4?

I have a subscribed calendar in iCal on my desktop that shows up in the list of iCloud calendars on my iPhone, but none of the events actually show up on my iPhone even though that calendar is selected to show its events.  How can I fix this?  It's really strange that my phone "sees" the calendar, but won't show the events that are in it!  Very frustrating!
I've already tried unsyncing and resyncing all of the calendars on my iPhone (i.e. I turned off iCloud calendar syncing, deleted all calendar info on my iPhone, then turned iCloud calendar syncing back on).  No luck.

I had a similar issue.  Basically, I gave up trying to "sync" that particular calendar with my iPhone and instead subscribed to the subscribed calendar directly on the iPhone.
To do this, you have to essentially set up a new "account" in the Mail/Contacts/Calendars settings.  Go to Add Account > Other, and selecte Add Subscribed Calendar at the bottom.  Paste in the URL of the calendar you wish to subscribe to, and it should be added to your calendar.  Best part is that it will automatically update as the calendar publisher updates it.  Be sure to disable that calendar in iCloud, too btw.

  • Why is a subscribed calendar not updating in Calendar on iPhone?

There is a subscribed calendar I control which I use regularly in Calendar (iCal). When I make changes to the source of the calendar on the web, the changes to the subscribed calendar are very quickly update in Calendar on my MacBook, which I appreciate. However, this does not successfully occur in Calendar on my iPhone. I have been trying to figure out off-and-on for a couple weeks why it doesn't update in Calendar for iPhone. I have spent no less than ½-hour working on it, via trying to edit the calendar, look at settings, double-check which calendars are showing to make sure it's the correct one, etc., etc., and I cannot figure it out. Why are changes to a subscribed calendar showing up successfully in Calendar on Mac but not in Calendar on iPhone?

    Hey xcwomac.
I did some research and found this:
    http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/google-calendar-wont-sync-ios-try-fixes/
It worked out just fine for me, hope it helps you.
    Cheers.

  • How to get SUBSCRIBED calendars synched on iPhone/MobileMe

Create, and place this Apple script in your Appliations folder
    Instructions follow the script...
    -- iCal Duplicator 2.0
-- MobileMe Push Sync with iCal does not currently support susbcribed calendars. This has disappointed some like
-- myself, who rely extensively on subscribed calendars. This kludgy solution copies events from a subscribed calendar
-- to a local calendar. Set your calendar names in the script, then run the script on a weekly/daily basis or manually to
-- update your local copy/copies based on the subscribed calendar.
-- Support for copying from multiple calendars has been added. You'll need to enter the source and destination names as
-- pairs. If you want multiple subscribed calendars copied into one local calendar, you can enter the local calendar names
-- multiple times as I have for the "Combined - Local" calendar.
    -- Christian Lindemer, July 15th, 2008 {macosxhints (a) dethbunny (.) net}
    -- * * * Edit values to match actual calendar names * * *
    -- The subscribed calendars
    property sourceCalendarNames : {"Davidcopy", "Othercopy"}
-- The blank local calendar(s) to copy in to, in the same order as the source calendars
    property destinationCalendarNames : {"Davidcopy", "Other"}
-- how many days to go back - the more you add, the slower the script runs.
    property oldEntryDays : 1
    on run
--make sure we have valid names.
    try
    tell application "iCal"
    repeat with testName in sourceCalendarNames
--this throws an error if there is no calendar with the given name, thus checking the calendar's validity.
set testCal to (the first calendar whose title is the testName)
    end repeat
    repeat with testName in destinationCalendarNames
set testCal to (the first calendar whose title is the testName)
    end repeat
    end tell
    on error
--if a name can't be found, alert user and halt.
    calendarNotFound(testName)
return --this effectively quits the script
    end try
    repeat with destName in destinationCalendarNames
    clearEvents(destName)
    end repeat
    set calendarCount to 1
    --repeat through all calendar names
    repeat with sourceName in sourceCalendarNames
--get the calendar names and pass them to the copyEvents function
set destinationName to item calendarCount of destinationCalendarNames
    copyEvents(sourceName, destinationName)
set calendarCount to (calendarCount + 1)
end repeat --repeat through all calendar pairs
    end run
    on calendarNotFound(notFoundName)
display alert "Calendar named " & notFoundName & " was not found in iCal. Please edit the script to match your calendars."
    end calendarNotFound
    on clearEvents(destCalName)
    tell application "iCal"
    --Clear the destination calendar
set destCalendar to (the first calendar whose title is the destCalName)
set calendarEvents to (events of destCalendar) -- get the destination calendar's event list
repeat with myEvent in calendarEvents -- delete each existing event
    delete myEvent
    end repeat
    end tell
    end clearEvents
    on copyEvents(sourceCalName, destCalName)
    tell application "iCal"
set sourceCalendar to (the first calendar whose title is the sourceCalName)
set destCalendar to (the first calendar whose title is the destCalName)
set calendarEvents to (events of sourceCalendar) -- get the calendar's event list
repeat with myEvent in calendarEvents -- repeat for each item found in the source event list
    --Don't bother with old events
if start date of myEvent > ((current date) - oldEntryDays * days) then --event is in future, or within prefs for old entries
-- gather relevant details of event to create new event with
set eventStart to start date of myEvent
set eventEnd to end date of myEvent
set eventAllDay to allday event of myEvent
set eventSummary to summary of myEvent
-- create event in destination calendar with details of subscribed event
    tell destCalendar
    make new event at end with properties {summary:eventSummary, start date:eventStart, end date:eventEnd, allday event:eventAllDay}
    end tell
end if --if not older than 'oldEntryDays' days ago
end repeat --iterate through entries in source calendar
    end tell
    end copyEvents
Let's say you have a subscribed calendar named "David"
Go into iCal and create a new calendar ("on my Mac") named "Davidcopy" with the same color as your subscribed calendar.
Repeat for any other subscribed cals you want to sync to iPhone.
    Open the CopyCal script
Edit the first line of (uncommented) code which starts with property sourceCalendarNames:
Change the names of the cals in this list to match the subscribed cals you wish to copy
Edit the list on the next line to match the NEW cals you created ("Davidcopy" etc)
Next look at iCal and uncheck the subscribed cals.
Run the script and watch the copying take place.
Now to automate this, set up an event everyday (as often as you like). Preferably this can be in another calendar you don't publish - so everyone doesn't have it cluttering their view of your cal.
For example I have events named "sync" at 9:30am and 5pm every weekday. For the alarm, use "Run Script" and choose the CopyCal.scpt.

    on copyEvents(sourceCalName, destCalName)
    tell application "iCal"
set sourceCalendar to (the first calendar whose title is the sourceCalName)
set destCalendar to (the first calendar whose title is the destCalName)
set calendarEvents to (events of sourceCalendar) -- get the calendar's event list
repeat with myEvent in calendarEvents -- repeat for each item found in the source event list
    --Don't bother with old events
if start date of myEvent > ((current date) - oldEntryDays * days) then --event is in future, or within prefs for old entries
-- gather relevant details of event to create new event with
set eventStart to start date of myEvent
set eventEnd to end date of myEvent
set eventAllDay to allday event of myEvent
set eventSummary to summary of myEvent
set eventRecurrence to recurrence of myEvent
-- create event in destination calendar with details of subscribed event
    tell destCalendar
    make new event at end with properties {summary:eventSummary, start date:eventStart, end date:eventEnd, allday event:eventAllDay, recurrence:eventRecurrence}
    end tell
end if --if not older than 'oldEntryDays' days ago
end repeat --iterate through entries in source calendar
    end tell
    end copyEvents

  • Syncing subscribed calendars in iCal to MobileMe / iPhone

Is there a way to do this? I have a few subscribed calendars that I would like to be able to see on my iPhone but I can't figure it out to save my life.

Yes, I am very curious about this also. I absolutely need my work calender synced so I use MM to do this so my macbook and iphone are always in sync. But, I would love to see my subscriptions on my iphone - I mean, that's where I spend a lot of time looking at my calender.
Does anyone know a work around yet? Or has apple released any more info on this yet?
Thanks, and if there are others who would also like this feature let's chime in here...maybe someone will know a fix or someone will be able to suggest a 3rd party app...

  • HOW TO SYNC IPHONE TO A "SUBSCRIBED CALENDAR"

I have successfully linked my GMAIL calendar to my iCAL calendar on Mobileme. I find this very useful and gives me the most flexibility. I can add events and merge other calendars (holidays etc) using Gmail but am still able to use the iCal on the iPhone which has the best interface.
HOWEVER, the linked calendar appears as a "subscribed calendar" on my mobileme page. When i SYNC this to my iPhone this subscribed calendar does NOT appear.
Is there any resolution in the works for this problem?????
The only reference i can find on apple support leaves the problem UNRESOLVED. See below.
    THanks so much
Mac OS X 10.5: Subscribed calendars are listed in their own section of the iCal calendar list. When syncing subscribed calendars to MobileMe, the calendar information and settings for the calendar is synced, but all of the downloaded events are not. This is done to help streamline the syncing process with MobileMe, as it prevents syncing redundant information to other computers with an Internet connection.

The problem has still not been resolved. You cannot sync subscription calendars to the iPhone or iPod Touch at this time.

  • IPhone alerts from subscribed calendars

    Hi there,
I keep getting alerts from colleagues subscribed calendars that are synced to my iPhone via mobile me. In iCal, I have selected to "Remove Alarms, Attachements, and To Do Items" from their "Get Info" menu.
    Any solution for this? Thanks.

I guess that's why it's called me.com...  All about me, not us and sharing.
How do we get an acknowledgenent from Apple when encountering stuff like this?  I'd guess there is a large percentage of customers that are partners and wish to SEE the other's calendar, but not get the reminders.
