Sharing a photo from Finder to Facebook reduces picture size
Yesterday I installed 10.8.2 upgrade and I tried sharing from finder to facebook. Picture size in finder is 720px × 437px and after sharing 346px × 210px in Facebook. How can I keep original size of the photo after share?
iPhoto for iOS always optimizes the shared photo for the site it's being shared to. The only way to edit a photo and export it that I know of is to share it to iTunes. Unfortunately that means to get the photo you have to sync with your computer, export it from the file sharing section of iTunes then share it to the site you want to put it on.
To get around this limitation I use an alternate app. My favorite is Photoforge2. It will work with any photo you have in the Photos app and export at the file size you want. You can leave the file at its original size or make it smaller. Your original file will remain untouched and the edited file can be shared back to the Camera Rool in the Photos app if desired. You can also share to a variety of sites like Photobucket or email the photo.

All you need to do is select the photos and then drag and drop them on top of iPhoto to import them in.

I am no longer able to upload photos from iphoto to Facebook. The "publish" button is now "grayed out." Any suggestions?
The window doesn't automatically pop up now. When you plug the card reader in, you should see a 4th option on the lower bar of the photos app. I think it says camera. Tap on that then you can see and inport your photos.
If you are still having issues, try giving your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again. It won't hurt any data but can clear gliches. -

What happens when you try to upload the album? Are there any error messages?
Which iPhoto version are you using?
Are you ordering from the correct Print Products Store for your country? Check the settings in iPhoto > Preferences > Advanced: -

You can't via Safari, but you should be able to if you use, for example, the 'official' Facebook app.

When I 'share' photos from iPhoto to Facebook they don't appear on the Facebook newsfeed?
When I 'share' photos from iPhoto to Facebook they don't appear on the Facebook newsfeed?
The only way I can get them to appear on the Facebook newsfeed is to 'share' the album within Facebook. Does anyone know why iPhoto only puts the photos on my profile wall and not for people to view in the newsfeed?I'm having the same problem and I end up having to just post it the old fashioned way. Has anyone figured this out as they appear on my wall but not in my newsfeed???

Why can I no longer "save photos" from e-mail/Facebook??
Since up-grading from iOS 5. To iOS 6.01, I can no longer "save photos" from e-mail/Facebook! Any one know what I need to do??
Go to Settings>Privacy>Facebook and see if saving photos has been allowed.
Go to Settings>Privacy>Photos and see if FaceBook is turned on - if necessary.
And go to Settings>General>Restrictions>Privacy>Photos and check there as well. -
I have Windows7. HOw can I download shared photostream photos from others' shared photostream
I use Windows7. How can I download shared photostream photos from others' shared photosteam photos using ICloud?
How are you doing the downloading?
If you download raw files with iPhoto, iPhoto can only edit the JPEG preview that is embedded with each raw file. iPhoto is not a true raw editor, because it's a consumer-level product, not professional-level.
The files should remain in RAW format if you download any of these ways, by using:
Apple Image Capture (in your Utilities folder)
Canon Digital Photo Professional (comes with your camera, but since the 40D is so old, go to the Canon site and upgrade your copy to the latest version for compatibility with the latest Mac OS X)
Apple Aperture
Adobe Lightroom
Any other professional raw organizer/editor like Capture One
