Sharing albums on photostream no settings and can't delete albums?

We updated iOS 6 yesterday onto our iPhone 4S's and were playing with the new photo stream change where you can share your pictures with another apple id iOS user.  There were two things that were problematic - we can't seem to delete a shared album, only the photos within, and we can't change the notification sound to turn it off.  My hubby uses his phone as his alarm and my father was making comments on the photos late at night and we couldn't turn off the sound.  Funny, but annoying since my hubby can't turn off his sounds because he needs to hear his alarm.
Is this something Apple will need to fix, or is there a way to delete a shared album or turn off the notification sounds related to photostream sharing?
Also where can you get info about how the sharing impacts memory space?  What size are the photos when they are sent/received through photostream?  If you're device has no memory, will the photo still come through?
Thanks!

I discovered that you can delete the album after all.  On the shared albums page you need to swipe right and then left in one motion, then it takes you to a page where you can add another subscriber and you can delete the album.  That solves one of the questions - although adding an "edit" button would be a better way!
Still need to figure out how to turn off the notification sounds related to shared albums, if anyone knows.

Is she facetiming your phone number or email address, b/c email address should not do that.. Was there an old iPhone associated with your number or email?  I've seen texts show up on long "deactivated" devices..

If you synced the Photos from your computer to your phone, you have to unsync the pictures via iTunes.

In your mail list, do you see the word 'edit'? If you choose that then you can select whatever mails you want gone and delete them at once.

I tried this several times, it did not work for me.  iTunes asks me if I want to delete photos on my iphone that were previously synched, I said yes, hit "apply" and then "sync" and it tried to sync, but it went very quickly and did not delete any photos.  Any ideas?
Adding your comment to a thread marked solved is not likely to get you any answers. Also adding the same comment to multiple threads will not help either. If you have a specific problem with respect to the Photos app, create a new question. Give your question a short but succint title. In the body of the question explain clearly what your problem is, what you have done already to correct it and what, if any, error messages you received.

  • How can I delete albums from my ipod nano 9th gen

How can I get Ipod nano to display Albums when connected to itunes?
How can I delete Albums from my ipod.....either using the device stand alone or when connected via itunes?
Both the above actions are easy using other devices and software ( Samsung MP3 and Windows Media Player...for example)
But after a year of owning my Nano I still cannot figure out how to do either of these tasks.

Just re read myoriginal question and realised I had not explained what I want to do very well.....
If I connect my ipod 9th gen to itunes.
How do I get it (itunes) to display albums and then delete them?
Finding them amongst the many thousands of track listing and then deleting them one track at a time is extremly tedious........
Surely there must be a way I can get itunes to display albums and the pick the one I want to delete?

  • Is it a fact that with iOS 7 I can't delete albums from music, but have to do one song at a time?

So many updates...  Used to be able to delete an album by swiping to the right.  Now I only seem to be able to delete one song at a time by swiping left.  What's up?  I really can't detele whole albums anymore?

Photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process are removed from the iPhone the same way. To remove all photos transferred from your computer, deselect Sync Photos under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.
If you want to remove an album only and you manually manage photo storage on your computer, move the folder of photos outside of the folder on your computer that is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes to be transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync.
To remove select photos, move the photos outside of the folder of photos on your computer that is selected to be transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync.
An album you created on your iPhone can be deleted direct from your iPhone.

You can select only the albums that you want to sync in the photos tab of iTunes when you sync your iPad. If you are using iPhoto it is very easy. Simply select iPhoto in the Sync Photos From heading and then select the albums that you want to sync.
If you are using iTunes 11 - enable the side bar by going to View>Show Sidebar from the iTunes Menu. This explains how to sync photos.

Apps will not finish loading and can't delete them also

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
No data is lost due to a reset.

  • How Can I Delete Albums From iTunes Without It Deleting Them From My iPod

    Please help!!!!
How Can I Delete Albums From iTunes Without It Deleting Them From My iPod classic 160GB?

    Hi, welcome to Apple Discussions.
I assume you've already consisdered manually managing your iPod's contents and rejected that idea.
I wouldn't recommend it as a solution, but if you delete the files for the albums leaving the entries in the iTunes library you can carry on syncing normally. iTunes will complain that it can't sync the missing files but it won't remove the copies from your iPod. Once you're happy with how things work you can can choose to suppress the error message.
While handy as a temporary workaround if space is an issue then it's probably time to look at moving your whole library to a bigger drive.

Have you tried changing the admin password in System Preferences > Users & Groups > Password   ??
The Apple ID that is associated with your admin password is noted there.

If a user account is deleted and the data for that account is not deleted, it is placed there. Yes, you can delete the files there.
