If she has them on an iPhone or iPod touch, connect it to iTunes and choose Transfer Purchases from the dialog box which appears or from the File menu in iTunes.

All of your copies of them contain your iTunes Store account name in the file and require that her computer be authorized with your account, which requires that you give her your iTunes Store account password.

  • Replicate security after Copy APP

    Hi
I was wondering what is the best possible way to replicate the security in copied HFM application that is done through Copy App Utility.
I know the utility will not copy the security. The way I see it is, provision the groups with same level of security for copied App, and then use Security.xml export file from shared services to import it back.
    Thanks,
    P

This is 11.1.2.1 version. Application is in same env but with different name. Can we use HSSMigrate.bat?
    Thanks in advance

  • HFM Copy App vs Migrating

Can anyone tell me the difference in the copy app vs migrating.
My questions are if you do a copy app do you still have to do a consolidate after you copy? Does all meta data get copied over ?
Do you still need to sync apps ? etc..
Our current process in which we migrate from one enviornement to another, then consolidate etc.. takes days to complete. If we could just perform a copy app, this might save us days of the system being down.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

By migrating, I assume you mean exporting / importing data between applications?
The app copy utility is a data level tool that essentially copies the database tables to the new application. All metadata, data, journals, rules, forms, grids, etc., copy over. I do not believe consolidation status changes as it would when you are importing fresh data, etc.
NOTE: The newer versions of the copy app tool do give you some additional controls over how/what is copied. For instance you can copy only specific scenarios / years, etc. This is handy if you have a specific item you want to test in a new app as you don't have to copy all data to another app.
The tool is pretty simple to use; however, always double check to Database / App information before starting to make sure you specified the source / destination correctly! :-)
After the app copies, you will need to register the app, and then I generally clone the provisioning from the production app to the new app through Shared Services.

  • How can i copy apps from one computer to another?

how can i copy apps from one computer to another?

You don't mention which operating system you have so it's difficult to provide an answer since the mac and Windows stores the files differently.
The other thing you can do is just re-download the apps from the iTunes Store. Just login to the iTunes Store on the other computer using the same Apple ID. On the right-hand side of the iTunes Store page you will see a 'Purchased' link. Clicking on that will take you to a page that will list your past purchases which you can re-download to the new computer.

  • Please can you tell if copyit app supports macbook pro retina

I wonder if anyone can tell me if the Copyit app (drawing grid) supports macbook pro retina os yosemite.  I would be most grateful for your help?

I'm not sure why you would want to download Android apps to your Mac.  Your Mac can't run Android apps.  You need an Android device (phone or tablet) to run Android apps.

You can transfer the games but you will lose your game progress. now if you've played through game center you might keep something, but I'm not sure, I turn that off. But when I transferred my angry birds from my touch to my ipad i had to replay the levels over

  • Itunes File Sharing: share apps don`t appear

share apps don`t appear in itunes 12
    ex: VLC

  • Each App its files only... no files shared between Apps

Subject: each App its files only... no files shared between Apps in some space in device like Android
with iPad 3 or (future) iPad 4 I have the ability add files to device (eg PDFs) and with any pdf app choose that files (or for each App....I must upload to device its particular pdf files used only by this App?)?

It will likely always remain this way. The 'sandbox' nature of the iDevices is what renders them more virus resistent than other devices. They have no over all 'my computer' or 'finder' upper level file management system, so any malware or virus that gets on the device can be contained. Since files can only move from app to app with your direction, malicious software can't propogate itself and spread without you helping it to spread.
There are many apps that support the 'send to' feature that allows you to move documents between apps. And there are also some apps like ReaddleDocs that can serve as an intermediary between other apps, but the prospect of an overall 'whole system file manager' is unlikely.

  • Error: Copy App

I have been using the Valet connector (AM10) for about two weeks. It stopped working so I deleted the program from my computer and tryed to reinstall it. This work previously so I thought it ws going to work. When I try to install the program it says there is an error... Error: Copy App ...The computer is an old Windows XP but is fully updated since I had internet connection for about two weeks...Please Help...

As you mentioned that you deleted the program. So did you uninstall the drivers for the adapter if not then uninstall the drivers first and then run the installation disk for the adapter. Here is the link for setting up the AM10 connector: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=60bf6ddc3b5e417a8c72d601b2346552_21484.xml&pid=80&...

  • Sharing iPhone apps between two accounts on a single mac.

Firstly, apologies if this topic has been covered many times before, I've tried to look, but can't find the exact answer I need.
I have recently purchased two iphones and want to use them on seperate apple ID's - I want different iCloud storage for each phone.
I have a macbook which has two accounts (one for me and one for my wife).  When I login to my account I have access to my itunes account and when my wife logins into her account she has access to her itunes account.
I have followed the instructions for sharing musics between two users on the same mac - by moving the itunes media folder to the shared folder on my mac.  I have copied everything in that folder (music, movies, apps etc).  I have also set up home sharing as I believe that you can share apps between itunes accounts using it.  Everything seems to have worked ok in terms of her itunes being able to access the music, movies etc, but the apps don't seem to work properly.  I went through the subfolders of the itunes media folder and changed the folder permissions to read and write for everybody (because I was getting a permissions error) and she now has access to the apps that are there (on my itunes account), but the apps that she has downloaded on her phone are not being transferred to the macbook.  I've tried the reset warnings suggestion and that hasn't solved the issue.
Am I doing something wrong?  Should the apps folder within the itunes media folder not be moved with the music when transferring to the shared folder?  Any ideas why music and movies sharing is working ok, but not apps?
    Thanks in advance!

    This should help:
iTunes: How to share music between different accounts on a single computer
Note that when it says "publicly accessible location", it needs to be a place where everyone has read and write access. The most common such place is the Shared folder in the Users folder.

  • Can I copy apps from my iTunes to another iPad

So I'm using my roomate's iPad (of course, with his authorization) and I want to copy all the apps that I have purchased on my iTunes to his iPad (again, he's very happy if I can ). Here's what I did:
      - Plug iPad in
      - open iTunes
      - select iPad and go to Apps
      - select "Sync Apps" -> select all the apps that I want to copy
      - Hit Apply
Then the problem starts. iTunes asks me "Are you sure you want to remove 100 apps, includinh "(Kor) Chinese" from the iPad?....". If I cancel then the sync process is cancelled as well.
Is there anyway I can do to copy the apps I have on my iTunes to this iPad without removing anything from it?
Also, what the Revert button above Apply means? I'm guessing it means moving things from iPad to my iTunes?
    Thanks

You can only have one account on the iPad at a time - for the very reason you've described (they don't want one person purchasing apps and sharing with other users). If you do put your apps on there with your account, it will wipe out all of his (and everything else tied to his account - music, etc). And when you put his back on with his account, yours will be gone. Apps are tied to the account, not to the machine.

  • Sharing purchased apps between ipads?

My kids have ipads with separate itunes accounts.  is there a way they can share their purchased apps with each other?

I have 2 Ipads that I use in class with kids. We are planning to buy more. I want to know how I can share apps between the two Ipads that we use in class. Do I have to purchase them twice (or 10 times if we have 10 Ipads?)
Yes, you must purchase the app multiple times. Purchases are for your personal use.
It's like any other software. You cannot purchase one copy and install it on all computers in the school.
Schools can make multiple purchases for the l and get vol

  • Sharing iphone apps

My wife and I have the iphone 4.  We each have seperate itunes accounts.  We have turned on the home sharing and can share music, photos, etc.  However, I thought there was a way to share apps that each of us has purchased.  Does anyone know if I can share and app that I have paid for with her, or will she have to purchase it also?  I know if we used the same login that she could download the apps to her phone, but we have 2 itunes accounts.

    Here is my scenario:
Same household and we use different computers and different iTunes accounts and libraries.  I have home sharing enabled as I also run iTunes on a server so that it can connect to my ATV 2.  I tried enabling home sharing on her computer using my user account that I use for home sharing throughout the house.  I was then able to see the apps from my account under home sharing on her iTunes.  I dragged an app from the home share apps folder into her apps folder.  Hooked up her iPhone and was able to see the app in the list under her phone.  Did a sync and app was copied onto her phone.  When attempting to run the app the screen just flashed and it does not open.
As it stands right now I just purchased 2 copies of Garmin, one for my phone and one for her's.  It would be nice to be able to use it on both our phones.  The same goes for books and other types of items that you tycpially share with family members if you had bought non-electric versions.
