I'm having a problem sharing video. Specifically, I'm attempting to share video on iPad within a PowerPoint presentation. Although Connect/Presenter does support many file formats, none appear to work on an iPad. Apple does not support Flash (.flv) and, though I convert the files to ensure they are a max of 640x480 and 15 fr, the videos will not work in MP4 or h.264 MP4 format, either. Is there a work-around here that I'm missing?

I have been using Vegas Pro for several years and have switched to CS6 premiere pro.
I have studied the adobe tv tutorials but feel they are too advanced and are directed at users of previous versions. I am also a subscriber to Lynda.com and find the same thing in their lessons. I am about ready to give up and go back to vegas pro. Any suggestions? Maybe I should start with Premiere cs5??

Hello, I'm trying to use my MAC Book Pro with Adobe FMLE. Once I select either my internal or external camera and microphone, in the live encoder I get this error message. "Please check if video devices are connected properly and are not used by any other application." The Facetime HD camera works in Photo Booth. We found the solution for this issue .
We have installed the crypto library in global executable directory and any way it will replicate those binaries to individual application servers.
But the parameters are still looking for global executable directory for loading crypto library during time.
So all application servers are trying to load crypto library files from global "exe" instead of local directory, which was clustered .Sometimes during heavy network load it may cause some delays to load the libraries to individual application servers and in turn is causing the license key issues.
Note 982056 - The license key library has not been initialized yet..
SAP Recommend option for all SSF parameters should be instance profile parameters not in default parameters..This was mentioned in below note:
Note 662340 - SSF Encryption Using the SAPCryptolib --- .
But in our Environment SSF and SEC parameter were set in DEFAULT profile instead Instance profile.
Recommendations:
o ssf/ssfapi_lib = <Path and file name of SAPCRYPTOLIB>
o sec/libsapsecu = <Path and file name of SAPCRYPTOLIB>

Learn adobe software from video maker

Hi, all
I found a new source to learn adobe software is called " VIDEO MAKER.COM". I am pretty sure a lot of you know this site. Is it a good source to learn?

In the past, Total Training was very common in the included media, for many Adobe products. I always enjoyed those, and found them to be very well done. I have some of Lynda.com's books for other programs, and their media does have a few of the tutorials, along with Functional Content for the exercises in the books.
I am with Stanley, in that I do not rely very heavily on tutorials, and prefer to have the book open next to me. I've expressed my love for books elsewhere. Still, both Total Training and Lynda.com seem to do a very good job, in the examples that I have seen.
I've also liked Curt Wrigley's tutorials, plus the ones from Jeff Bellune. However, those are fairly specialized, and Curt's are mostly for older versions of Premiere. Still, I commonly link to those, with a caution that one will need to interpolate from an earlier version, to something current. Still, they are great for teaching a concept, and then the user just reads between the lines, to find out where the buttons have been moved to in their version - once one grasps the concept, the rest is but mechanics, like Keyframing.

How to transfer the content of the video to Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 for editing ?

I have an old video camera that is still working. That video camera uses a Hi 8 tape. The tape is bigger that the current DV tape. The size of the tape is something like a tape cassette.
How to transfer the content of the video to Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 for editing ? Being an old video camera, the output doesn't have any firewire or USB connector. In fact the only output is has is the Yellow, Red & while connector (is this referred to as composite).
So, how do I input this Yellow, Red & White cable into the PC (or rather into Adobe Pro CS3) ?
Any established hardware/convertor to recommend ?

For "composite out," only you will need an A-D "bridge" to Capture from that camera. Grass Valley/Canopus offers two really good ones, the ADVC-110 and the ADVC-300. There are others and also PCI A-D capture cards, but the Canopus units get very good reviews.
One other workflow would be to hook your older camera to a digital video camera with passthrough (not all have this and it is being discontinued fairly rapidly in consumer cameras) and then doing the Capture through that digital video camera via FireWire. You will not have Device Control, but can easily start/stop via the mouse and one hand on the switches, or on a remote.

Forget about all the rest until you check out the Announcement at the top of this forum regarding the current 1/2 wmv display related to a recent Windows Update kb file. I missed the wmv part of your initial question by focusing too much on the thread title.

MicroSoft has issued an Update for Windows, that is causing problems with Displays. The following is from Talbot McInnis, who tracked down this problem, and offers a fix:
"MS bulliten MS13-057. Specifically, on XP kb2834904 and on windows 7 kb2803821 is causing a problem
For us, it occurs when decoding WMV9 files. Not all uses of WMV decoding are affected, but I confirmed that when connecting the WMV decode DLL to a sample grabber for RGB32 video, the frames arrive black on top, so that points directly to decoding internals of the WMV Decode dll.
You can uninstall these windows updates to resolve your problem."
There are several threads on the problem that this Update is causing on the PrE and PrPro Forums, so one can get more details. So far, there is not another fix from either MS, or Adobe.
