Sharing HP2575 installed on Windows 7 with XP laptop

I've just installed my HP2575 on my new Windows 7 64 bit desktop, I downloaded the AIO_CDB_2570_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe for the installation and everything is working OK. When attempting to share this printer via Devices and Printers -> Customize Printer -> sharing -> additional drivers -> x86 I am asked to browse to the locations for the x86 drivers. I don't know where these are located on my Windows 7 machine. Do I need to download specific drivers? Where do I get them and where do I store them?
This question was solved.

Yes...run it on the XP PC. When the driver is extracted put it on a USB thumbdrive and copy it to the other PC. You can also, if the twp pc's are networked, put the driver on a public share so you can find it from the 64-bit PC.

  • Jdeveloper 11g cannot be installed on Windows with Thai regional settings

I have no idea where to properly submit this issue. Hope I do not abuse this forum for too much.
Jdeveloper 11g cannot be installed on Windows with Thai regional settings configuration.
I've got "A fatal error has occurred. This application will terminate" error dialog, while installing.
I have to change my regional settings to English then install it and change my setting back later.
    Regards

Sigh... This forum software doesn't even support image posting.
The error is every easy to reproduce.
    1. On Windows XP, goto "Control Panel" -> "Regional and Language Options" -> "Standards and format"; and change that to "Thai"
    2. Invoke "jdevstudio11110install.exe"
    3. Always click "Next" until the error dialog appear.
    <pre>
    . Exit [x] .
. [!] A fatal error has occurred. This application will .
    . terminate. .
    . [[ OK ]] .
    </pre>
From my experience, this always have something to do with the Buddhist Era year system (AD + 543).

  • Blackberry Link will not install on Windows 8 (64bit) Laptop

    Hi,
I'm trying to install Blackberry Link onto my laptop which runs Windows 8 (64bit) but with no success.
From the Blackberry.com website I download the file "100_b075_multilanguage" (have tried both hitting 'run' and saving it then hitting 'run').
After a pop-up window titled "configuring installshield" that contains a progress bar (which does not progress) another pop-up window titled "Windows Installer" appears.
The first line of this new pop-up window says "Windows Installer V 5.0.9200 16384".
The second line says "msiexec /Option <Required Parameter> [Optional Parameter]".
There is then a load of text showing Install Options / Display Options but no means of selecting any of these options.
At the bottom is an OK button and when I press this the process stops and throws me back to the laptop's windows home screen.
Things I've tried without success: -
    Disable anti-virus
Amend User Account Control setting (UAC) to 'never notify'
    Restart laptop in 'safe mode'
Reinstall Windows 8 from built-in recovery partition
Would appreciate any help / suggestions as to how to fix this and get Blackberry Link installed.
    Thanks, Dave.

  • I purchased acrobat standard but have a mac computer. Received response not available for mac only windows. Unable to install on windows with mac

Please direct me as to how to install acrobat standard on mac computer. I had trial basis and now my computer is all fouled up and message received that must be installed on windows computer. How do I handle this dilemma.

If you have Acrobat Standard, it is Windows software. You cannot install Windows software on your Mac.
If it was purchased, get a refund.
If it was bundled, then you just can't use it.

  • System Locked Upon Install of Windows With Bootcamp

My system is frozen in "windows" screen that reads "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key". I have attempted every suggestion in the Mac Pro manual to open the optical disk tray to insert a disk but cannot get the tray open. Manual also indicates manual opening of tray and use of straightend paper clip but there is no "small hole" as suggested in the manual.
Additional question: what key combinations, at least, get me out of "windows" screen and back to Apple screen?

My first error was to erroneously attempt a Windows install using an "upgrade" version, not full Windows. Now, the software is hung-up in Windows la-la land. I re-started while holding "X" key but it still did not open in OS-X. I am still unable to open the optical tray using any of the customary key stroke combinations.

  • Blue Screen with installing new Windows on already pre-installed one

Hello everyone, I am sorry if that topic has already been dealt with, and if I am asking about the same thing. I found a few posts relating to my problem, but it did not fully help, so...
I bought a M70 in Germany, it has Win XP HE already installed, but I wanted to install my Windows with a different language. When I boot the computer from the disk, there is first this blue screen saying that it is loading many drivers, etc. Then, it suddenly stops when it finishes loading all the stuff. There is only a cursor in the upper left corner (the one in DOS operating mode) and nothing happens. What could be a problem?
Is there some kind of blockade on the hard disk preventing me from formatting the partition and installing a different system? My own windows does not include SP2 on the cd, usually I install it later on.
I saw at least one similar post, someone suggested browsing the download section on the website to find some information, but I failed in doing that. Can someone help me? I would be extremely grateful for any information!
    mike

Hi guys, unfortunately, I am still in Germany, and I have limited access to any windows software. I can use a Win XP SP2 install cd only when I go home next month, so right now I am trying whatever else I can. I thought of installing the Windows from the recovery cd on another partition, but it stubbornly wants to do it on the main one, wanting to completely remove everything from the main partition. At least, then I could format the C partition using Windows installed on another partition, but it does not work anyway. I guess I have no other choice but to wait until I have access to a cd with Win XP SP2 on it. I really hope that is the cause of the problem. I will try to get any other copy of Win just to try it out, and I will keep you guys informed. If you have any other ideas, share them with me, please.
    Regards, Mike.

  • How to do a clean install of Windows?

Is there anything I should know before doing a clean install of Windows on my laptop? It's a GS60 Ghost. I got my product key using Magical Jellybean KeyFinder, but from what I've heard I won't need that since the key is stored in the BIOS. So I guess all I need to do is put the right version of Windows on a USB and install it, right?

The OEM DPK stored in the BIOS only activate the same type of Windows. For example, most of MSI laptops were preloaded with Windows 8.1 standard (PS: "standard" won't be shown in the "System" window) and planted with OEM DPKs for Windows 8.1 standard. If you install the Windows 8.1 Pro version, it won't be activated by the key.
However, if your Windows 8.1 Pro is bought from the shop, you'll need to enter a key provided in the box when installing. And then it will automatically activate the OS by connecting to the Internet. In this way, the OEM DPK in the BIOS will be ignored.

Do I need quick time on my pc with the new iTunes 10.5 update that came out today?
According to the accompanying Apple information the answer is no. However Apple do say if you also want to play other older QuickTime movie files then you will need QuickTime.
The conclusion is that if your only using music, or your only using movies purchased via the iTunes Store then it seems you no longer need QuickTime installed in Windows with iTunes 10.5.

  • HT3669 Hi I have a Konica Minolta PagePro 1300W printer. This works with my Windows-based Toshiba laptop but not with my i-Mac. Can someone please advise me how I get the printer to work with my i-Mac? I have installed it but documents don't print. Thanks

Hi I have a Konica Minolta PagePro 1300W printer. This works with my Windows-based Toshiba laptop but not with my i-Mac. I have the latest (Mountain Lion 10.8.2) OS-X software.
I have installed the printer using 'System Preferences' on my i-Mac and it appears on the list of available printers but documents that I create just don't print.
Can someone please advise me how I get the Konica Minolta PagePro 1300W printer to work with my i-Mac?
    Thanks, John Lee

Looking at the Konica web site for the PagePro 1300W, I saw the following note.
Please note: This printer is designed to be used in computer operating systems running MS Windows only. Operating systems such as UNIX, Macintosh, or Linux are not supported nor do we have workaround drivers available. Older MS Windows versions, such as Windows 3.1/95/98[pre-SE] and NT 3.51/4.0, are not supported.
So KM are not going to help you. But the LinuxFoundation does provide a workaround that should allow you to print. Have a look at this web page. You will need to install all three packages as per the instructions from that page.
