Sharing iTunes match with a friend

How do I allow my buddy who shares my music with me to use the same itunes match library without him having to have my icloud information on his phone?
I would like for his iphone to be able to access the itunes match library withouth me having to make his phone sync with my other icloud information.
is this possible?

This is a problem that Apple is not addressing. There are several discussion threads on this. My sharing, like yours, worked perfectly with Itunes 6 and stopped as soon as I upgraded to 7. Version 7.0.1 does not fix the problem. I have turned off the Windows firewall on both machines and still get that error message. For some reason, we are not on Apple's radar. ITunes match with a friends music

OK, so I bought someone a new iPod Touch for Christmas. They have 64 gb of randomly downloaded disorganized music. What I am wanting to do is get my hands on their music by having their spouse send it to me on thumb drives. Then I want to transfer it to my computer, clean it all up and organize this music through iTunes Match before putting it onto the new iPod for them. This way they won't have to do anything on their end, (they are not tech savvy people). I should mention they are in Germany and I am in the states if that makes a difference. Can I do this through my account, redownload all the music and then copy it to the iPod? Or must this be done through their iCloud account (which they currently can't log into) but purchased some music under the account ID. I want to avoid the issue of them not being able to play the music if it was cleaned up under my iCloud ID. All help will be greatly appreciated by all involved here!

Can I share iTunes Match with my family and friends?

That depends on how you're using the word "sharing." The iTunes Match service is designed to be a single-user service. It is associated with one and only one iTunes Store account ID. So for other people to be able to use your iTunes Match on their devices they must be signed into the iTunes Store with your account ID credentials. This means they will have full access to your account, your purchase history, and will be able to make purchases on your account.

I'm assuming you mean can you access the purchased songs from another apple id. No you cannot. You will need to download these on another computer and then transfer the hard files into your itunes library that you are using icloud with and let icloud match them.
You cannot access two different id's from one match account. Also, if you sign out of the match account that you are signed into to another to download purchases you will not be able to sign back into your match account for three months. So do not do this either. Just use a friends computer or another way.

No, sharing match is not included in the family share. The only way is to use the same Apple id on all devices but this may present problems if your family members have their own Apple id.

They will have to be answered the first time when purchasing from a new computer or device.

HT2204 What is the best way to use iTunes Match with two Apple ID's that have purchased content?

In my early years of using iOS devices i have unwittingly made the mistake of creating a second Apple ID for my second device. So now i have two Apple ID's with purchased content associated with them.
I have turned on iTunes Match with the account that has the bulk of my music linked to it. But my second account has maybe 150-200 songs (and lots of apps) that i really like and don't want to loose. Activating iTunes Match for the main account wiped these 150-200 songs off my iOS devices and replace them. Is it possible to have content from both my apple id's on my devices at the same time? Is it possible to combine the content from both of my accounts?

I'll try to help a bit.
ITunes match space is different to icloud space. With iTunes match you get storage for 25,000 non iTunes purchased tracks and other than a limit for individual file size, there is no memory limit.
You can turn match on individuallyon each device (I have it turned off on my iPod but turned on on my iPad and iPhone). When you turn it on then you get access to all the tracks, and in my experience any playlists I create have transferred over very well. I understand that some people have had trouble with playlists though.
I'm not quite clear with exactly what you mean regarding cleaning up your library, but be careful about using Match for this. There is no guarantee that matched songs will be exactly the same version as your own copy, due to some mismatches, so you could find some problems there. Personall, I am cleaning up my library before matching, but I am rather particular about keeping my library the way I want it. If you aren't as fussed then match could be the answer.

If you have been backing up to iCloud your camera roll photos, text messages and other data and setting should be contained in the backup. Restoring the backup to the phone should recover them.
To do this, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings (which will erase the phone), then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts. Be sure your phone is connected to wifi and your charger as this may take some time to finish.

If you both have seperate iTunes Store accounts then basically, yes, it is going "screw up" your wife's account.
iTunes Match is designed as a single-user service which is associated with one and only one iTunes Store account ID. If you have subscribed on your account and want to activate the service on another computer that is already signed in with an account the present account must be signed out and then iTunes signed into your account. This means the other computer will have complete access to your account and will only be able to make purchases on your account. iTM is not designed to be signed in and out at will. If she has apps purchased with her iTunes Store account they will not be able to be updated.

I understand you are not Apple but i was presuming that some logic or technical reason i miss was behind this.
I really do not see any logic business pratice. If i understand i can be agree or desagree but as minima i know the rules and why.
to sumarize...my story
my id was with XXX and i bought Itune match one year with this account and 4 device are conected with the same account.
on Ipad device i change my ID to YYY then .... because i need to update some apps and connect to itune match i came back to ID XXX then no problem to update apps but .... no way to come back to itune match.
.... no way to use itune match anyhow with Ipad and account XXX linked with account XXX. WHYYYY ??? no clue.

You prob hit Delete All at the top instead of the trash can at the bottom which will do only the selected msg.
Sorry, unless the entire converstaion is on a backup you can't retrieve it.
