Sharing iTunes Store purchased songs with brother
I used to easily be able to send my brother a song file, via email, and he could open it, because he was "authorized" on my account. Lately, when he enters my password, it won't open for him. I double-checked the password and it should work correctly.
Anyone know what else it could be? He should be authorized.
Are you serious? I thought I could have authorized people on my "list" who I can share it with.

Cannot play iTunes store purchased songs when offline.
Yesterday my cable was out for several hours and the iTunes for Windows XP said it was unable to play my purchased songs from the iTunes music store which I've had on my computer for months now because the iTunes account had to be activated. When the cable internet came back on it worked fine. What is the problem with playing my purchased music offline? I've paid for it!
I am trying to use my Apple TV on a boat and do not want to take my computer with me.
Apple TV is not connected to the internet.
I had this working briefly then it stopped with the upgrade to the iPad software.
Apple had me exchange the original ATV thinking it was a hardware issue but now the video will not open.
Airplay will play music from my iPad or iPhone thru the ATV.
When I go to play a slide show from the iPad of albums I have synced the ATV shows 3 slides real fast and then crashes. -
Is it possible to sync, combine and share iTunes (specifically purchases,songs,playlists) with 2 computers having their own apple id?
I have been trying to find the answer to this for awhile now.No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that. -
Possible to re-store purchased songs off itunes store??
I've recently had to wipe everything off my computer and start from scratch. All has been lost. However, I would like to know how, or if its possible to restore the songs i've already purchased off itunes. Help!?
Message was edited by: doll31It's possible to restore purchases from any backup you may have made. If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from (as you are advised to do) then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. I have deleted a song from my library and want to re-download it. When I access my purchased items in the iTunes store, the song has the 'purchased' button next to it and won't let me re-download. Any suggestions for things to try?

After purchasing a song in the iTunes store, the song was downloaded, but when I went to play it, it was not completely recorded. How can I get a refund or download it again without being charged again on my account?
Hi Dan,
If the song does not appear in your Purchased folder, then you can go back to the Store, select the song again, go select "Buy", and press Enter. iTunes knows you already purchased it, so it won't charge you again. It will, in fact, tell you that you have already purchased this item, and will ask you if you want to download it again for free....
Just in case it is not to be found in the Purchased folder!

What a pain -on a mac- never had aproblem- loaded a new shuffle with music - will not let me sync itunes store bought songs- will not let me authorize the computer. I have a ipod as well. Is this a block when loading a second device? OR?
In iTunes, do Store->View my AppleID
Click "Deuthorize ALL"
Then, on any computers you still have, do Store->Authorize this computer. If there are less than 5, you will have no problem.
You can only do "deauthorize all" once a year, so in the future, if you ever throw a computer away, remember do to "Store->Deauthorize this computer" first. -
Why do I get a black screen in front row when watching some iTunes store purchases? esp Cars 2
We bought Cars 2 a few months ago from the iTunes store. The movie won't work in Front Row, we only get a black screen (except for the blue Front Row controls at the bottom) although the audio comes through just fine. The annoying part is all of our other iTunes store movies work fine in Front Row. Just Cars 2 is broken. I don't think that it is an authorisation problem because it plays okay in iTunes, Quicktime, even via airplay to an appleTV or via Home Sharing to our iPad.
The movie is only standard definition so I am guessing that it is not an HDCP issue; I understand that there is only HDCP on HD movies. We are playing it on a Mac Mini (core 2 duo) on a Sony Bravia via a VGA connector.
After a little bit of complaining, apple let us download the movie again in case the file was corrupted, but unfortunately the same problem with the new version.
The computer did have Perian installed at one point, but uninstalling and restarting made no difference.
I have found lots of reports of movies with missing picture in Front Row but these are all ripped videos, never with an iTunes Store purchase.
Apple won't refund our money as the purchase was more than 60 days ago by the time I gave up troubleshooting and reported the problem.Yeah! Problem solved: It's a QT issue.
Cause: Mac Update Software downloaded a faulty QT.
Solution: Download QT from Apple's QT site.

I've downloaded several thing, including Christmas songs, but do not want them on my iPhone anymore - but no matter what I do, every time I sync my phone, all my purchases revert back to the old names (purchased names, ie. "The Blue - EP" when I have renamed them to "The Blue") and then come up on my iPhone. Despire finding the song on my phone, swipping it to delete, it'll reappear later on.
I have also set up that only songs in a created playlist are to be on my iPhone, (these songs are not on it), yet they always appear.
How can I ensure the downloaded files DO NOT change names and stop going onto my iPhone every time I sync up?
Thank you.It looks like you're trying to play a track bought from the iTunes store (or does it happen with other songs too?). Make sure you are logged in with the account the track was bought with.

You will not get recharged if you download them from the Purchased section of the iTunes Store and you are signed in with the Apple ID they were originally purchased with.

Purchased song with explicit content while thought it was a clean version
My son purchased several songs last night and is aware that he cannot purchase songs with explicit language ..... he purchased a song that did not have an "Explicit" tag on it but does contain the "F" word which he does not want to hear or do we want to have in his music collection.
Is there a way to "delete"/refund or such this type of sale from the ITune store? How can you be sure that language such as the "F" word and others don't get into the songs that are listed if they are not flagged as containing such words?

Is there a way to transfer iTunes Store purchases or an iTunes library from one user to another?
Historically, I have my own laptop and my 8 year old daughter has a laptop as well. I also have an iPad and iPhone. In the past, I have managed all devices with the same apple ID, and used my laptop as the main library, storing all music, apps, video, etc. I then just selectively copied things to the other authorized devices, so my daughter's laptop has a copy of her music under my apple ID. Now she has her own iPod touch, so I would live to move her music and apps to her own iTunes library with a name I create for her on her laptop and iPod.
Is this possible without having to repurchase all of her media?Welcome to AD!

Unable to view iTunes Store purchase history
Hi All,
I'm unable to view my iTunes Store purchase history. When I try to do so from within iTunes itself I am taken to a seemingly blank store page, which seems to have no content according to VOiceOver, Apple's built-in screen reader. I've previously done this without a problem, so am rather annoyed.
Is there any alternate way of requesting a refund? Could I call and do so?

I have to actually same problem today 23.10.2012. For an example I have only changed billing methods and have bought hundreds of apps but I remember clearly that I bought for an example ,,Wikipanion Plus'' and ,,OPlayer'' which is now HD OPlayer and I did not see them in purchased items, neither ,,not on ipad/iphone'' nour ,,not on my computer'' and I check in both my computer. I confirm hereby that I took the chance to re-buy these two Apps again through the same account but I got the message ,,As you have bought the previous version on this account you will get this update for free'' so I clicked yes and I got them both. This doesnt only proof that I have purchased them before and purchased items in iTunes Store has some lacks to fix but also it proofs that I also bought them through that specific account as I had to confirm the buying process. In my opnion this is not a thing which Apple should be relaxed with as its very important that powerusers and regular consumers can trust and rely on doing business and to shop via iTunes. I have a lot of expensive Apple Hardware and for me this is a stepping stone and a serious test on the circle of trust. If this cant be fixed I cannot recommend others to trust the store.
