Sharing pages documents via email in pages

I cant seem to share a document via email unless i have the native apple mail app set as the default mail reader. I use airmail but still would like to share documents straight from pages. is there any workaround?
(I'm pressing 'share' in pages, 'send a copy' and if the native mail app isnt default then there is no option to click email)

Yes but maybe No.
As you are running 10.6.8, the update 9.1 isn't required.
If you bought iWork as a package embedding the three apps,
Go to my iDisk :
<http://public.me.com/koenigyvan>
Download :
For_iWork:iWork '09:uninstall iWork '09.zip
and
For_iWork:iWork '09:iWork9Update5.dmg  (I don't know if it was re-introduced in Apple's download web site.
expand and apply my Uninstall script,
re install the original package
apply the downloaded updater.
But, maybe, it would be a good idea to go to :
http://www.titanium.free.fr/
download :
MAINTENANCE 1.3.8  (for Snow Leopard) and ask it to :
check and repair permissions
Clean most of the caches.

To be the AW6 successor, iWork MUST integrate a TRUE DB, not a list organizer !

  • I used to be able to send document as a PDF or Word Document via email using the toolbar.

I used to be able to send Pages documents as a PDF or Word Document via email using the Pages toolbar (not the iWork feature).  Lately, it hasn't been working at all.  No email pops up; just nothing.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Any solutions?  I'm running Pages '09 version 4.1.

This Apple Express Helper is a dumb one.
File names with # and $ are perfectly treated by the share to Mail feature.
What is rejected is the slash (/) and it's perfectly normal.
Since the delivery of the first version of OS X, slash is an illegal character in file names.
Apple thought that it would be fair to build a piece of code taking care of such chars because they were valid ones in the older operating systems.
But they expected that users will drop these chars. Alas they didn't and users like you are continuing to play with matches.
At last, OS X 10.7 removed the extraneous code and now, hosanna, iWork refuse to export files whose name contain the infamous slash.

Why can't I share documents via email in pdf format any longer?

I am guessing you are using an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. This is the forum for MacBooks, the computer, so the mail works differently.
You will want to ask your question in the correct forum.

  • Can't forward documents via email

For some reason I can no longer forward any documents via email. When I click on the share icon I only have the option to forward via AirDrop of iMessage. This has only happened in the last couple of days and has not happened on my MacBook Air or my other iMac.
    Any suggestions
    Thanks

I am having this issue with trying to send pictures from my email applications in my phone. I use Yahoo, but not the Yahoo app. I also tried to use my work email to attach the picture to and send. In both instances, Yahoo and work email, I get a "Failure " message in my outbox of the email application when I look to see if the photo sent. I have received pictures via text before, no problem. I also tried turning of bluetooth, even though where I am currently located there is no wifi/bluetooth to connect to.
    Thanks

  • Why can't I suddenly send documents via email?

    Why

    Hi,
I use send file in Reader and I've tried both Internet and Google Crome. I
have Windows 7 and I use Adobe EchoSign to send the documents. You can look
into four emails I got from Adobe EchoSign where you confirmed documents I
had sent. As I said earlier why is it different now?

  • Since upgrading to Mavericks, I can no longer share my documents via email.  It never gets to the mail page. Any ideas?

Once I upgrades to Mavericks, I first had trouble viewing my old documents saved in iCloud.  Apple Support phone call solved this.  Now I notice I cannot share any of my documents/pages via email.  It never gets past the "next" page for sharing via email.  Anyone with same problem?

I actually have the same problem, since I upgraded to Mavericks my MacBook Pro can't seem to find the Bose sounddock 10. Has anyone found a solution to this.
It still works with the iPhone 5
    Thank you

  • Can't send a PAGES document Via email in PDF form ... used to be done by clicking share and PDF  HELOP

creating a document on pages and trying to share it via email in PDF form used to be really easy...
How does this work now?  help

I always just do file->print. Then in the lower left is a menu that said "PDF" and just pick "Mail PDF" from the dropdown and a new email is composed with the PDF attached. One step to print, one click to choose mail and you're done. I just tried this on the latest Yosemite and Pages updates and it works fine.

  • Pages won't share document via email

Just an FYI: I just experienced the same problem with the Share feature in Pages that others, as long ago as 2011, were reporting: Pages won't initiate the Share via Email function if your document title has a slash (/) in the title. Replacing the / with a dash (or, apparently a space) solves the problem. I'm surprised Apple hasn't, yet, either corrected this issue or at least prominently reported which characters cannot be used in document titles, if you want to be able to use the Share via Email feature. (I should add that the Share via Export worked fine with the slash in the title.)

Ok... so I'm an idiot: in Pages it works fine - I mistook the grayed out 'send via email' option for a normally clickable item, while it's just a header for the three (non-grayed-out) formats which you can send via email.
The problem stands for Word for Mac though - I promise!
    thanks again

  • Send Purchasing Documents via email/fax to vendor

    Hi all,
I have a customer requirement wherein Purchasing documents such as RFQ, PO etc need to be sent to vendors via email/fax. To cater to the customer's form requirements, we developed smartforms instead of using the standard MM purchasing smartforms. To call these smartforms in the print programs, we copied the standard print program SAPFM06P and commented out the function module ME_PRINT_PO  in the routine ENTRY_NEU and added the our own code to call the custom smartform. The custom code segment in the print program is attached for reference.
Now, when we are trying to generate messages for the purchasing documents using output type External Send, the custom program does not pick up the email address maintained in the vendor master and instead picks up email address maintained in RFQ or PO initiator's user profile. We have made the required configuration for SCOT and SOST tcodes.
We tested the same scenario requirement using the standard print program and got the desired results i.e. the print program picked up the email address maintained in the vendor master. But with this approach, we cannot use our custom smartform.
Any help in this matter will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Saad

    Hi Biju !
Thanks for the response but I think you missed the point here. I am using different output types for RFQ and PO as well as different custom smart forms and we are using the same custom print program to generate output for both.
The issue is with the print program and not the output type as I mentioned that I have already got this thing working on our IDES using the standard print program and standard forms.
Tomas Talpa's response seems to be helpful. I'll get my technical consultant to amend the code accordingly and see if it works.
    Regards,
    SaaD Karim Mallick.

  • Purchasing Documents via Email

    Hi all,
We send our vendors purchase orders via email.
The mail used is the one maintained in the vendor's Master record.
Does anyone know how can we send the PO to multiple email addresses - also
maintained in the vendor's Master record?
    Thank's,
    Dan

    Hi,
You can not do that, because normally in SAP system one vendor only has single email address which can be used to receive the email from SAP system, that is standard solution, if you want to send out to multiple email addresses, you should develop your own ABAP program of sending purchasing document in the system.
    Good day

  • Anyone having trouble sharing large images via email with Aperture 3 and OSX 10.7.2?

I am having trouble sharing images via email with Aperture 3. No matter what size I have in the preferences, the image is thumbnail size. The requested size flashes on the email a couple of times but the small size remains and is sent. I am using OSX 10.7.2. Any suggestions how I may send larger sizes?

I have taught many how to use GUI-based computers.  The number of controls they are aware of on the screen always progresses, usually linearly with the amount of time they spend actively learning the GUI.  Beginners are totally flummoxed that windows can hide other windows.  A step beyond that, they are amazed that they can resize windows using the mouse cursor.  Those two are trivial to most users today, but they illustrate 1. that there is nothing "intuitive" about the GUI, and 2. that the amount one perceives is dependant on the amount one knows. IME, this has nothing to do with age, and everything to do with experience using a GUI.
Here is a good hint:  if you are using a Mac and can't figure out how to do something, look for something to click.    If you find something that seems promising, try "{Option}+clicking".
The interface is richer than any one person can master.  Frank's statement "most times we all fail to see everything " is, imho, _always_ true.  We never see everything, even in the grossly limited resolution of our computer screens.

  • Cannot share documents via email in Preview...why?

I have osx Mountain Lion on my Macbook Pro, as does my wife on hers. One really neat feature in Preview is the ability to "share" via email any open document. My wife can do this, but on my system there is no email option when I click the share icon. Why so? I've checked every setting I can think of.

Select your card in Contacts. Then select
Card ▹ Make This My Card
    from the menu bar.

  • SD Billing Document via Email

    Dear Expers,
I have a requirement to send the invoices for allied and non-allied customers via email whenever it is created or changed always.  there are various output types for which i need to enhance the email functionality.
For my understanding can i request you to share the process how we need to start with to ensure that the setup is completed and the customer starts receiving invoices via email.
    Thanks for your help.
    BR,
    Ravi

    Dear Ravi,
Through output determination you can get your requirement.
You define seperate output type for the mailing
You take the help of ABAP people to develop the output program in suchway then assign that program to that output type.
Maintain the condition record for that output type in VV31 transaction transmission medium as E-mail.
And also develop the routine then assign that routine in the output determination procedure opposite to E-mail output type in the requirement colomun.
I hope it will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • How Can I Disallow Sending a PDF Document via Email?

    http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1528701&page=1
    nha khoa.com/showthread.php?t=145
I'm using Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard.
I've gotten the test document setup in such a way that at least the typical person could not print it, send it as an email attachment, nor save the file within Adobe Reader 8.
However, if that same person were to open the file with Foxit PDF reader, they could email it as an attachment (though they can't do the others).
What I want to know is if there is a way to specifically disallow a pdf file from being sent as an attachment from within the pdf application? For Adobe, I just had to check the box next to "hide menu bar" and "hide tool bars", but leave "hide window controls" unchecked.
But of course, Foxit reader, and I'd imagine others, don't recognize the code for the display defaults. So for those, I'd need something else. I did not see an option under security for disabling email. Is there any way to do so?
The PDF files will be shared via a SharePoint site. So if there is some other better way of locking them down via SharePoint, that'd be fine as well.
I'll post more detail if need be. Thanks for any suggestions.
"If to err is human, then I must be some kind of human!" -Me

There's no way to prevent someone attaching a PDF to an email (or any other file-level operation on it) - to view a PDF it MUST be downloaded to the client's computer, and once there it's a regular file just like any other. There is no "streaming" concept within PDF.
You can secure the PDF so only certain people can open it (for example using certificate policies or even DRM) but they can still move the file about - it's only at the stage of opening it where the security control starts.
And you're correct - non-DRM 'permissions' security on a PDF is largely just smoke and mirrors for anyone who can open the file, as removing your print/edit/display preferences is a 10-second job. The only real case of a PDF being "uncrackable" is if the document has a very long OPEN password and the user doesn't know what it is. If they can get as far as seeing the pages on their screen, they can do pretty much anything with it.
