Don't see mail point on the share choice

You can save the contact to contact book and then while sharing email, contact would show up in contacts pane. You just need to check this contact and email would be send. Contacts can be saved through Edit->Contact book.

How to send photos as email attachments???

This is a ridiculously easy and simple question but I'm a mac newbie and can't figure out how to send photos as email attachments, not embed them in the body of the email. Every time I go to send a picture or group of pictures from i-photo an email message opens....the pictures are embedded in the body of the email and that's how they appear to receipients. In a test, I've sent them to a PC...the message comes through just fine but the photos don't have separate attachments that I can click on and "save as." they come through as bitmap files. Any ideas? THANK YOU.

It will not ALWAYS fix the problem that this topic is about; I had my Mail preferences set to send as Plain Text and it did not fix the problem. Additionally, since there is NOT an option in Iphoto as you previously noted, it might be confusing to some people.
However, for those of you who have the same problem, there seems to be a solution that worked for me. I also had the problem that Mail was overriding my sizing preference when I selected them in Iphoto (share > email) and always sending them as small instead of medium as I preferred.
Since it seems that sometimes Mail does not deploy the plain text default so you need to kick start it to remember. This is how I did it....
- Select the photos you want and hit SHARE > EMAIL in Iphoto
- Now, in Mail click on the photo browser button
- Find another photo in Iphoto via the browser and drag and drop it into the email that you're composing
- You'll see a size option appear in the bottom right hand corner
- Playing around with the sizing option a few times kicked it into gear and it seems to be working better since then
I hope that helps anyone who has had the same problem.

Sharing photos through email

I run Windows XP and use msn for email. I have Photoshop Elements 7 and when I try to share
photos my computer defaults to verizon e-mail. How can I change this so that I can use my contact list I have in my msn account?

No problem. Glad you asked. Gave me a chance to check up on what is going on with my Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 and its Elements Organizer 9.
I was ready to call it a day when the email from Adobe with the verification code arrived in my regular gmail email INBOX. So a gmail address should work.
Please go through the steps already mentioned in post 3 and wait for the email to arrived. It took about 1/2 hour in my case.
When the email arrives copy the verification code in the email.
Open the Elements Organizer and go to Share/E-Mail Attachment or Photo Mail. Go through the paces of setting up the email for sending in this area.
Before you get to the end where there is the email with a Send button ready for you to hit, there will be a pop up asking for the verification code.
Paste the verification code (from the email that you just received) in the verification field of the pop up. Click OK, and move forward in sending
the email by pressing the Send button in the completed email with attachments.
Later you might also want to experiment with Elements Organizer 9 Share/Photo Mail.
I had problems with my Contact Book for this task. But, if you have problems with the Contact Book, please let me know. If that happens,
we can keep away from the Contact Book icon and type in the recipient email address immediately before hitting the Send button for the email.

Sharing photos via email through iPhoto

Hi, I've sent friends photos via email using the 'share' section of the iPhoto and I can't find a 'sent' forlder there and they don't appear in my normal email. How can I check what I've sent to whom when sharing photos this way.

Thank you for your reply.I am using a MacBook Pro and sadly it doens't work the same as the iPad. However, in following your directions, I hadn't realised that in the sent box I could select specific email accounts I thought it was one generic folder for all, so, I've learned that from you!

How do I get "verification code" to allow sharing photos via email and photomail with PSE11

I have just install, yesterday, Photoshop Elements 11. Cannot get it to allow me to share photos via email or photomail. Message appears stating that a verification code is required, with a note that an email has been sent to our email address, which is listed on the line above...but no message ever comes. There is also a button to click that says "resend email" and using that does nothing. What do I do next?

I have same problem. I just purchased a new computer and re-installed PSE11, and this verification process appeared. I have received no email.

Re use of Elements 10, Mac Version. I can't send photo attachments thru the "sharing" link in the Organizer, becasue I can't enter the contact. When I click to edit contacts, it brings up a dialogue box, asking for my password. I enter the password and then another box comes up "signing in." But it never opens anything.

Sharing photos by email from iPhoto 11 takes far too long. Easier to specify email via Mail in iPhoto Preferences and forget the fancy presentation in iPhoto.

Though there is an attractive range of photo presentation options in iPhoto email sharing, the time taken to send an image using these is inordinately long: 4-5 minutes for a single image. Added to this is all the confusion created by 'unrecognised username and password' error messages. All in all; though it's a pity given the sophistication of the new options, it is easier and much faster to set the email option to Mail in the iPhoto General Preferences. An unfortunate shot in the foot by Apple I think.

iPhoto menu -> Provide iPhoto Feedback is the route to the Developers.
Also, remember that the Stationery feature in Mail has more templates - and you can download others too.

Sharing photos by email - Emails are not being received

My photos which I have shared by email are not being received, even though I have a confirmation that they have been sent (one photo has been sent).
I am using a @me.com email address and I have tried to send a photo to myself and this has still not been come through.

Do you have iPhoto setup to email the photos itself or use Mail to email the photos?

Saved Photos from email attachments blurry in photos.app

I have two problems since upgrading to 2.0. When I view photo attachments from my email, the photos look perfectly clear. But when I save the photos to the photos application it looks completely blurry. I did a test by saving photos from safari and there was no problems. The only way to fix this is extract the photos from ipod and resync it using itunes. Also when i plug in the ipod to windows xp, i get autorun message saying "camera connected select program for this action" there was no option to take no action. It gets annoying. Appreciate any help for my problem.

ah, the old photo resolution bug. this was supposed to be fixed in one of the 2.X updates, some people found it fixed it, some people found it didn't.

How can I get iPhoto to use external email instead of built-in email when sharing photos by email?

I really dislike the fact that emails are now sent from within iPhoto rather than via launching the external email client. It is much less flexible. Is there a way I can set iPhoto to use my Mac mail instead of its built-in email?

Yes. Iphoto menu -> Preferences -> General Pane:
Email Photos using: and select Mail from the dropdown.

Whenever I share by email a photo from inside iPhoto, my iPad makes high pitch and uncomfortable noise! Can it be stopped, or change to more comfortable and softer sound? How?

It happened after the installation / update of iPhoto, Yahoo Mail and Gmail apps on iPad two weeks ago. One of them should have changed the settings of "Sent Mail".

Sharing photos via email

I have got all my photos in my personal space and want to send them via email. When I try to share them I don't get an option to email. When I write an email and try to attach photos it only lets me attach work space photos. How can I share my photos between my personal and work space. This is really annoying!!

Sharing photos via email-can I use Address Book Groups?

We are traveling and have a group ("Family") in my address book.
In iPhoto I select several pictures and then in the "To" line I want to invoke this group rather than typing 15-20 names.
Is this possible?

thanks. It seems that this is a wish list item for the next release. Since the address book is already linking naturally with iPhoto it seems that a tweak to recognize groups as well.
What I like about using iPhoto is the templates. Another suggestion was to set up one email, send to myself then forward that along using my group.
I'm on vacation now so I'll be experimenting. However it stills seems more elegant to get this to work as I had hoped.

Theme empty when shared photo by email

hello,
When I want to sent a email via iphoto'11, i have a problem with 2 theme "classic and daily(journal in french)" because they are empty. Others theme are ok.
I've tried to rebuild my database or repaired autorisation but the problem is still here.
I 've tried to build a new database and of course I haven't the problem.
Can somebody help me ?
