Sharing Photo Stream On The Web

Creating a Photo Stream to share. One option is to open it to the public on the web. I tried one photo sharing via iCloud on the web.
Where is the public photo on the web? Thanks.

The URL for the public Photo Share is in the Info tray for that PS:
Click on that link which will take you to the PS web page where you can copy the full URL or Command (right) - click on the link in iPhoto and select "Copy Link in the contextual menu.

• Can I access my photo stream from the web to share it?

I cannot determine whether and how I can share my photo stream with other people through the web. Am I limited in accessing photostream to my own computer, iPhone, and Apple TV???

You can't share Photo Stream via the web, only on your own computer and iOS devices.

• Photo stream is showing up in iphoto recent but not web and I am not able to join the shared photo stream. all of my software is updated. can someone tell me how to get photo stream in the web source list? thanks!

Can someone help me get Photo Stream to appear under Web in the iPhoto Source List? I have updated all my software. iPhoto 11, Mac OS X 10.7.5 All of my preferences are checked. I am able to see the shared Photo Stream on my iPad, but not my Mac. The Mac iPhoto photos from the shared photo stream are appearing in the Photo Stream (under Recent), but I thought they would appear as a shared Photo Stream in its own file/album (like on the iPad and iPhone) - labeled with the shared Photo Stream's title. Is this supposed to happen on the Mac? Thanks!

So you are saying for it to do what i want: shared photo stream to appear in web then i need to upgrade.
Yes
Does that mean i purchase the new software an it's not just an update?
Yes
Your profile indicates your running 10.7.5. For shared Photo Streams you need to be running 10.8.2 or later: The following is from iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
What do I need to use Photo Stream?
To use Photo Stream, including Shared Photo Streams, you need an iCloud account, compatible devices, and up-to-date software: iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 6.0 or later Mac with OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later and iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later
So you'll need to upgrade to Mt. Lion.
iPhoto requirements are free updates for iPhoto '11

• How do you create a shared photo stream on the ipad

I've updated my iPad (3rd gen) to iOS 6 but I can't figure out how to create a shared photo stream.
I've followed the instructions on apples website but it's as if the feature is missing.
Anyone else tried using the feature?

Went crazy since I had no "new iCloud agreement" request. Anyway I updated my account infos and finally found in Settings > iCloud > Photo Streaming the button to enable Shared Photo Steams button

• Shared photo stream is not showing up in settings for iPhone 5 or ipad

Hi there
I am trying to set up a shared photo stream however the option is not coming up on either my iPhone 5 or my iPad (3).
I have tried adjusting the settings (Settings/Photos&Camera/Shared Photo Stream), switching it on & off as well as switching on iCloud again to see if new T&Cs pop up as suggested in other posts - no joy!
Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

On your device using iOS 6, try quitting and re-opening the Photos app:
Quit Photos.
From your Home screen, click your Home button twice. Your open applications should appear in a row at the bottom of your screen.
Scroll to find the Photos icon. Press the icon until the icons jiggle.
Tap the red circle in the upper-left corner of the Photos icon. The icon should disappear from the list.
Tap the Home button again to return to normal operations.
Also check the following:
From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and make sure the slider is set to the ON position.
From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, make sure the slider is set to ON, and that your device is connected to a wireless network.
Ensure that Camera app is closed on the device where you took the photo. Photo Stream will not upload photos from an iOS device until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device, and the battery charge is greater than 20%.

• Shared Photo Streams not appearing in iPhoto.

I have a few Photo Streams that were recently shared with me. I can access them fine on my iPhone. When I am on my MacBook Air however, these Photo Stream folders are no where to be found.
I followed this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3989 and more specifically double checked these instructions:
I don't see any photos or shared photo streams in the Photo Stream view of iPhoto or Aperture.
Check the following:
From your Mac, choose System Preferences > iCloud, and make sure the Photo Stream checkbox is enabled.
Open iPhoto or Aperture, choose Preferences > Photo Stream.
If you are using iPhoto 9.4 or later, or Aperture 3.4 or later, make sure that both the My Photo Stream and Shared Photo Streams checkboxes are selected. If you'd like all new photos that you've uploaded to your iPhoto or Aperture library to be uploaded to My Photo Stream, make sure that the Automatic Upload checkbox is selected as well.
If you are using iPhoto 9.2.2 through 9.3.2, or Aperture 3.2.3 through 3.3.2, make sure that Enable Photo Stream and Automatic Import are selected.
Make sure your Mac has an an active Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
Everything was set up as suggested above.
My Macbook is on iPhoto 9.2.3, with OS 10.7.5
My iPhone is on 6.1.3
Additionally, when i view photos from a shared photo stream folder on my phone and then select to save one of the photos to my Camera roll, the photo is still not syncing to my Photo stream on the Mac.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Larry,
Having a similar issue as the one described by kmacd... I'm trying to set up Shared Photo Streams between my MacBook Pro (Late 2009 13") and my iPhone 4, to essentially use them as streaming albums. Both devices are set up with iCloud with the same account, and both have all settings enabled for Shared Photo Streams, as I can create and modify streams in both. The problem is that when I create a new stream on one, it never shows up on the other! I never receive an invite, which I assume I wouldn't since it's all the same account. Just not sure why the Shared Streams don't sync over multiple devices when the normal My Photo Stream works perfectly fine. Any thoughts?? Thanks!
Hardware/Software Specs:
MacBook Pro 5,5 (Late 2009 13")
OS X Mavericks 10.9.1
iPhoto v9.5.1 (902.17)
Aperture 3.5.1
iPhone 4iOS 7.0.4
Note: I am currently in the process of downloading iPhoto 2.0 for iOS to see if there's any way to access the streams through that. Figured it's worth a shot!!

• Shared photo streams not working in new iPhoto?

I upgraded to Mavericks and the new iPhoto to be able to work with the shared photo streams I'd created on my iPhone, but they seem to be nonfunctional in iPhoto 11. I'll select photos, create a stream, and add the photos; the pictures will say "added to shared photo stream", but the stream itself will be entirely empty.
Quite simply, iPhoto says it's creating and adding pix to photo streams, but it isn't. How do I fix this? It's sort of a major omission to have a prominent new feature not actually function at all.

iCloud photo sharing, which allows subscribers to add photos and videos to a shared stream created by you, will not be supported until OS X Mavericks is released. OS X Mountain Lion only supports shared photo streams, which does not allow subscribers to add photos.
Notice that is says "(iPhoto and Aperture users will not see photos and videos added by iCloud Photo Sharing contributors at this time.)" under "What do I need to be able to like photos and videos in a shared stream" in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4379. Also note that is says "Coming with OS X Mavericks" under "iCloud Photo Sharing" in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4759.

Hello all,
It appears that this issue is related to specific network/Internet configurations. If you are experiencing this issue (some features work over WiFi but not Ethernet) after updating to Apple TV version 5.1, please send me <[email protected]> an email with this information:
1. What is the manufacturer, model number and firmware version (if possible) of your Ethernet router?
2. What is the manufacturer, model number and firmware version (if possible) of your WiFi router? (if it is different)
3. What is your Internet service provider?
4. Where are you located geographically? (what city?)
5. What Internet features do work over Ethernet?
6. What Internet features do not work over Ethernet?
7. Does it read "Activation Failed" at the bottom right in Settings > General > About?
Please make the subject line of your email be "Some features work over WiFi but not Ethernet".

• Can I add photo's to a shared photo stream created by my friend?

Me and my friends are sharing photo streams with the new feature in iOS6, and we noticed that only one person can add the photos and the rest can view. Is there a way for my friends to be able to add photos to the photo stream that I am sharing with them. It is kind of pointless if this feature is not available becuase we have to have 3 separate photo streams to view all 3 of our photos, when we could just simply do it in one.

• Shared photo streams on ipad 2

Hi everyone,
We've got to ipad 2's at home, one of them lets me use shared photo streams, and the other doesn't, rendering the service utterly useless. I have turned on photo streams on my device but I can't receive or make a stream.
Please Help!

There is also an option to turn on shared photo streams under settings-> iCloud -> photo streams.
Under settings -> photos & camera you will not see shared photo streams until turned on under iCloud.
This also surprised me when it was enabled on my iPad 2 but not my 3rd gen iPad.

• Photo Quality - Shared Photo Streams

Is there any method of changing the quality of photos within shared Photo Streams?
For example, there's a massive drop from 8MP to 3.1MP for photos taken with an iPhone 4S then added to a shared Photo Stream. This makes it pretty much useless if I want to easily share original quality photos with other family members.

Photos stored in 'Photo Stream' are uploaded to the server with the original photo quality (Apple: "On your Mac or PC, your photos are downloaded and stored in full resolution. On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV, your Photo Stream photos are delivered in a device-optimized resolution that speeds downloads and saves storage space.")
When you access the photo stream with a Mac/PC, the photos will be at the same original quality, but on a device like the iPhone 3GS, however, the photos will be at a 'device optimized' resolution. So if you access the photo stream with an iPhone 3GS the photos will be a lower quality, but the photos on the server will still be at the original quality, which means you can retrieve the full quality photos if you have a Mac/PC.
With shared photo streams, however, the situation is a bit different. Apple states that "Shared Photo Streams deliver photos in a device-optimized resolution that speeds upload and downloads and saves storage space", and therefore the photos are not uploaded to the server in the original resolution.

How long do shared photo stream albums stay in iCloud?

I actually found the FAQ for Shared Photo Streams and the answer is:
Do shared streams ever expire?
No. Shared streams are removed from iCloud only if you delete the photo stream.

• Shared Photo Stream won't work

I am trying to create a Shared Photo Stream with my iPad. I have successfully followed available instructions to the point of inviting my wife to subscribe to the Photo Stream and having her subscribe. The problem arises when the Shared Photo Stream icon appears on her iMac - clicking on it to open the Photo Stream always reveals that there are no photos in the Photo Stream. This occurs even though the first step in the process is to select a photo for sharing via Photo Stream. We encounter the same problem when she tries to create a Shared Photo Stream on the iMac and invites me to subscribe - everything works as expected except the Photo Stream has no photos in it for the subscriber to view. Has anybody else encountered this problem?
