Sharing Vid in Elements 10

Working with Elements 10, I have become quite proficient at burning part vid's to DVD and saving as files. Now I want to send a part video (43mbs) as an Email link. I have tried to follow instuctions on the support files, but have failed miserably.
Has anybody got a set of instuctions or suggestions that an old 'p%&#$' like me can understand?

You say you're going to send an e-mail link. And that is definitely smarter than trying to send a video file, which can be too big to send by e-mail.
First, where are you going to post your video? YouTube? Vimeo? Your own personal web site?
Once you post it to a web site, you simply send a link to that web page.
But it's hard to be more specific without knowing exactly where you plan to upload the file to.

PDEClip shared by many elements

Hi All,
I'am developing a plugin which copies (PDE) content from a source PDF to a target PDF file (some transformations may occur). When I encouter a PDF with a lot of elements the target PDF grows enormously in size (40 times original size). When I leave out the copying of PDEClips the target PDF file size is about the same as the source file. Ofcourse the resulting PDF differs visually from the source PDF. The SDK documentation (PDEElementGetClip) states: "Note that a clip may be shared by many elements".
Even when I apply the same PDEClip to multiple PDEElements the target PDF remains the same size. Is there a way to solve this "growth" issue?

Itunes sharing with Photoshop Elements?

I have Photoshop Elements 9 on Windows 7.
My wife has an iPad 2. I'm getting an iPad 3.
When I set up iTunes syncing for my wife's iPad I created a folder of some special
family pictures and I just sync that one folder to her iPad.
I'm the photographer and PSE user in the house.
For my iPad I'd like to be able to share more of my PSE images.
I have about 8,000 and 32GB of images in PSE.
I have made extensive use of tag keywords to identify all the people, pets, places, events,etc. in the picture.
So I don't have a lot of albums. But I can find any picture by selecting the right keyword tags.
My understanding is that PSE stores the tag information back into the actual image.
I saw in iTunes on my Windows PC that there is a selection under Photos for Sharing with Photoshop.
What are my options there? For my new iPad. I think my wife's is ok as it is.
What I'd really like is to get a lot of the images from PSE onto my iPad.
And have that same keyword selection ability on the iPad so that I can find pictures easily.
If there is a better way to do that than through iTunes syncing then I'm open to that as well.

While I haven't heard a solution to posts I've made to both Adobe and iTunes sites, I have found a manual workaround.
The catalog files that iTunes uses are of the format "catalog.pseXdb".
In my case, the new catalog is "catalog.pse13db" and the old is "catalog.pse9db". These files are found in catalog folders like: C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\Elements 9 Catalog
With iTunes and PSE closed,
1) copy the catalog.pse13db file to the "Elements 9 Catalog folder.
2) rename the old catalog.pse9db file to keep it and deactivate it
3) rename catalog.pse13db to catalog.pse9db
iTunes will continue to use the older catalog file, but it now has new catalog contents. The manual part is that this will need to be done prior to each time you want to sync new catalog content to your devices.
Somewhere around PSE version 7, the catalog file format changed, so this technique may not work for upgrades from about v7 upward.

Estuve leyendo un poco respecto a la diferencia entre ambas opciones. Realmente no pude encontrar el tamaño del buffer, por lo que pude entender la diferencia principal es el acceso de más de un lector o escritor a la variable.
En el caso del single element, solo un elemento permanece en el buffer por lo que si tienes dos lectores, ambos obtendran el mismo valor. Así mismo el tipo single-element FIFO no reporta alertas cuando existe un underflow u overflow en el buffer. En el caso del multi-element, por cada lector o escritor que accese la variable se creará un nuevo buffer independiente y los valores que lean serán así mismo independientes. Finalmente, en LV 8.6 tu puedes definir el tamaño del buffer, dentro de la categoría Networking. Te dejo una liga a un poco más de información que espero te sea de utilidad:

Sharing photos using Elements 12, Windows 8 machine

Question: Loaded Elements 12 on Windows 8 machine but cannot share photographs via e-mail. I set preferences for Sharing and received confirmation. When I get to point where connecting to e-mail it just keeps searching and goes nowhere and I get no messages. I use Comcast.net for e-mail. Frustrated user!!!

When it appears to keep searching, check on the taskbar. Does the Organizer icon show two tasks?
If you hover over them, one may say New Message. If so right click on it and select Maximize.
For some reason the first attempt tries to hide. Once you have opened it up, the next time should be OK.
The next problem you may encounter is when you try to change the text in the message body. The workaround here is to enter the required text into something like notepad and then copy and paste it into the email message.
My preference is to install Windows Live Mail and then use that as the email client.

Sharing in Premiere Elements 10

I am trying to share/export my video in Premiere Elements 10.
The video is 6:35 long, but only 1:07 will export. I've tried exporting it through multiple methods. The workbar area is set to the end of the project.
Why could this be?

What players are playing the original music files (.mp3) without problems before they ever see Premiere Elements? If you take the .wav files converted from the original .mp3, do these .wav files play OK on that same player before they ever see Premiere Elements?
What program did you use for the conversion of the .mp3 to .wav.....iTunes or the free audio editor named Audacity?

At this point, with the .wav, where is the audio quality a problem....in the Edit area playback or in the playback of the export or both? What player is involved?
Let us try this...go to Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/12.0 and delete all the files that you find there in the Media Cache Folder. Open a new project and import the audio files. Watch the bottom of the workspace for the appearance of a conforming bar. If you see one, let the conforming go to completion before moving forward, even if you have to import one audio file at a time.
Please remind me what computer operating system is involved. I have been assuming Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
Also, if most of the poor quality sound is happening after export, then we need to dig into the export settings in detail.

Sharing a WD Elements drive

I have three macs connected wirelessly with an ABS (the newer flat one) and I have a printer connected to it as well.
I would like to connect a WD Elements 400 Gb ext drive but there is only one USB port on the base station, already used by the printer. Should I get some sort of USB hub or would that lead to problems?
From time to time the Base station drops my canon printer and I would hate for that to happen with the ext HD as well.

Is this one of their "network" drives (aka, a NAS device), or a regular external HD connected to the iMac or an Airport or ??, that you're backing-up to over a network, or ??

How is it connected?
You say the iMac is doing a lengthy full backup; what is/has the Powerbook done?
How much data is on each Mac, and how big is the destination?

Sharing vids with 2 separate iPhones

I have an iPhone as does my daughter. She has had her phone much longer than I have and as she does not live at home and I am assuming she syncs with her windows computer.
I have an iMac and have a number of Jaime Oliver podcasts downloaded a few years back and she would love to access them.
Is it possible for her to sync with my computer to do this? I did have a look through the manual but cannot seem to find what I need to do - a gentle shove in the right direction much appreciated.
If she syncs with my computer, I do not want her to have access to my contacts (apps I don't care about) etc and I do not want to have the disaster of her losing everything (apps etc) that is on her phone either. Been there done that with an iPod a few years ago (she'd kill me lol if it happened again).

Iphone will sync with ONE computer at a time. If you sync to another computer, it will first erase the movies, music, podcasts, apps, etc, then it will replace with content from the new computer.
You should be able to copy the podcasts to a flash drive or cd and give them to your daughter.

Sharing Preference pane "Cannot Open" error?

Hi all,
Im running Tiger 10.4.6 on a MacBook Pro 2.0, connecting to the Internet through an ADSL router via an Airport Express base station, everything fully updated.
Suddenly, when trying to open the "Sharing" preference-pane, I get this error:
Preferences Error
You cannot open Sharing preferences pane on this
computer. Contact the developer of this software
for a newer version.
I haven't installed or updated anything in the last few days, and it worked earlier today.
I have tried restarting, and deleted the following preferences, to no avail:
com.apple.sharing.firewall.plist
com.apple.networkConfig.plist
Any ideas?

Hello again, and thank you for your replies, and sorry for the late response.
First off; I have installed the latest 10.4.7 Combo Updater, but that did not install a new SharingPref.prefPane. I even removed the old one, before running the freshly downloaded Combo installer.
Actually, I did the exact same thing a week ago - same result.
So, in the meantime I had some work I needed to finish, so I didn't have time to investigate further, until this morning. Where I, much to my surprise, found the SharingPref.prefPane back in /Macintosh HD/System/Library/PreferencePanes/ and it was still the wrong version!
So "something" must be installing the wrong - old - SharingPref.prefPane. Well, I took a peek at my install log, searched for "sharing", and lo and
behold!
The mystery is - somewhat - solved. The old SharingPref.prefPane comes from and old Apple Remote Desktop 2.2 installer, that contains an installer called PantherSharing.pkg. See search from Console.app below.
What puzzles me, is the fact that I installed the wrong (old 2.2) version of ARD, to monitor a couple of servers, and of course uninstalled that version, and installed 3.0, the minute I realized my error.
How can that old installer keep "updating" my system, even after I've removed the old ARD? It's as if something is running the receipt, witch I funny enough, can't find on my system anymore.
The dates don't match either, or they do, but I would expect more entries from last week, where I removed the old SharingPref.prefPane and it mystically appeared again this morning.
The receipt must have run in the last week, but I can't find anything in my logs - install.log.0.gz OR install.log.
Maybe running a reciept dosen't get logged?
Ohh well Anyway - beneath is a copy of my log, and the question now is; How do I get the correct Pref-pane, when the Combo Installer doesn't install it?

Issues with Photoshop Elements 12

I am already using Photoshop CS6 and was informed that I can also purchase and install Photoshop Elements 12 on the same PC (Windows 7).
This I have now done but after some installation issues I am now experiencing a problem with the camera raw part of Elements. I am receiving an error message when I try and send the edited raw file to the main Elements program. The strange part is that if I open the same raw file again in Elements camera raw and try transfering again it works OK. Can there be a conflict somewhere?

Can't get my Premiere Elements 11 to reinstall

I am told that you are only allowed a finite number of times that you can reinstall Premiere Elements 11 and I seem to have reached it.
What do I do now ?

Thanks for the reply. Lots of details to be sorted out.
1. If you have Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 installed on Windows 7 64 bit, then
a. Photoshop Elements 11 is a 32 bit application in a 64 bit system and its key files would be in Program Files (x86).
b. Premiere Elements 11 is a 64 bit application in Windows 7 64 bit and its key files would be in Program Files.
So if you found otherwise, there is a major problem. Did you use default locations during installation or customize?
2. Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 each come with its own Elements Organizer 11 if you purchase them separately and only one is on a given computer. But, when you purchase Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 and install them on the same computer, then they share the same Elements Organizer 11 catalog. So, if both Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 are on your one computer, then they are sharing the same Elements Organizer 11.
3. NTSC versus PAL. There should be a NTSC or PAL set up choice right after you insert your purchased serial number and the Adobe Licensing Agreement is OK'd. Could you post a screenshot of the dialog where you are being forced into a NTSC set up? Is there any chance that you are overlooking choices when you are downloading and installing these programs?
4. If you can get into the Elements Organizer 11 and not Premiere Elements 11, I am suspecting that you are having an activation issue.

Photoshop elements organizer crashing

("Adobe Elements Organizer 12 Quit Unexpectedly" continuously while trying to tag pictures. MacBook Pro (OS X Ver 10.9.5) & Elements Organizer 12.0 - both purchase Aug 2014. Is there a fix for this?

Photoshop Elements 13 crashing everytime I try to add person in the organizer

Anyone had a similar problem? Every time I try to add a person in the organizer, Elements 13 crashes. It crashes a lot otherwise, but I have never yet been able to add a person without it closing down. I am running Windows 7 64 bit, i 7, 3.10 ghz with 16.0 GB of Ram. Thanks for any help!

Any problems using different versions of photoshop elements (7.0) and premiere elements (8.0)?

I already own Photoshop Elements 7.0 and am now considering buying Premiere Elements 8.0. Does anyone know if I will have any version problems with this, especially with the Organizer? Do I need to upgrade PSE to 8.0 as well?

1- A forum participant tested that slideshow workflow from Photoshop Elements 7 to Premiere Elements 8 and verified that it worked for him.
2 - General Organizer use is probably an entirely different question. I have not attempted that myself and don't know anyone who has. It seems doubtful that a specific catalog file could be shared between Premiere Elements 8 and Photoshop Elements 7.
3 - Since you mention that you are interested in upgrading to Premiere Elements 8, I recommend that you read relevant FAQs from the FAQ forum here, starting with
