Sharing video; unable to publish to YouTube and cannot compress enough to send as attachment in email

I have followed the instructions for sharing but I am unable to publish 3 minute video (and it is not in HD). What am I missing? I also cannot seem to compress it enough to send as an attachment in an email. Any suggestions?

Export it in the size you wish and then, after you have the .mov file, you can easily upload it to Youtube. I can't imagine a 3 minute video that would be too large for Youtube to accept. Sometimes, iMovie (as well as iPhoto) seems to have problems "sharing" to other applications. I don't even try anymore. It is almost as easy to export the video and then upload it where ever you wish.

Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

Next step, if safe mode did not work.
First: Try a clean install, (you have had a none standard version installed previously) that involves deleting the program files. Then if necessary try troubleshooting by creating and using a clean empty Firefox profile.

At this point you have 2 choices.
Erase the disk entirely and reinstall (you will lose everything that is not backed up)
Take it to an Apple Store (you will probably lose everything that is not backed up)
I believe this is a hardware (HDD) issue and would expect a Store trip to be the best approach, sorry.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

No Audio in a video published on Youtube, and created with QT10.

I have created a screencast with QT10, and in my Macbook Air is perfect. HD quality also with perfect audio. after that i publish the video on Youtube, and with my surprise i see the screencast but i don't ear nothing.
Someone else have the same problem?

I am having the same problem. I can upload a screen capture video in .mov format to YouTube using the Upload button on YouTube's site. The video is OK, but there is no audio. If I upload through QuickTime's Share menu, there is only a partial upload. There is both video and audio, but only about half of the file gets uploaded. Why is this happening?

I am using Adobe Captivate7 demo version and published 1 video to Youtube.
I have 2 more videos to publish but it always prompts incorrect username and password though I am able to login to Youtube and other google accounts using same username and password.
please help.

Can you try a different youtube account on a blank new project, check if that works?
Could you also try recreating Captivate 7 preferences, here are the steps:
Close Captivate
Go to this location on Windows 7: C:\Users\[user name]\AppData (hidden folder)\Local\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 7 folder
Rename the Captivate 7 folder to Captivate 7 old
Launch Captivate.
Then create a blank neww project and publish that to youtube.
P.S.: Recreating Preferences will reset all the settings and customizations to defaults, however it won't make any change in your project.

Unable to share to youtube and audio goes out of sync

Im trying to upload a video to youtube.
So, i clicked * Share - Youtube *
And after about 30 minutes it notified me that the upload was complete… Well i went on youtube and checked & my video wasn't upload… i tried again, and still nothing happened…
So i decided to export the movie to a file, and manually upload it .. when i watch the video on my computer.. it's plays perfectly.. but for some reason.. when i upload it to youtube the audio goes off ,
Random audio that i deleted plays… and audio from one clip plays over another..
PLEASE HELP
How do i fix this ? i just want to upload a normal video to youtube…

I have the feeling there isn't a real solution for many of us who are having this problem.
I just gave up and exported to the desktop, and then used YouTube's uploader, which works fine.
Sorry, I don't have a fix, but wanted to add my voice as someone who has tried a lot of ways with his iMac, and figured it wasn't worth all the hassle. YouTube's uploader lets me upload many clips at once, add commentary, and then go do something else, sure that it will go ok. I had the iMovie-YouTube link working for a bit, but then it went all haywire again.

Very simple, it only takes one action.
Create a workflow with the *New Mail Message* action, and that's all you need in it. Save this as a Finder plug-in with a nice name such as "New Email", or any name that makes sense to you.
When you use your right-click, choose the More menu and then the Automator menu inside that, and in there you'll see it in there by whatever name you gave it when you saved it.
You can find out more how the *New Mail Message* action works with and without files by reading its description.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Email crashing and taking too long to send an attachment of 500 KB

Well I have a brand new MBP $C i7 2.5 GHz 8GB RAM with clean installed in its 1st week. The email is crashing when I try to send the attachment bigger than 1 MB. It slows down everything when I try to send a normal email and the time it takes to send a simple email is 3 to 5 minutes .
What I have done so far:
Clean install
Change the app to 32-bit run it, quit it, change back to 64-bit and run it. Repeaed many times
Nothing is working out now.
From logs I can see that the mail app is using too much memory and processor while running. Help please

Are you using Transport.send to send each batch? Or are you using a single
Transport object that you connect before the first message and close after
the last message? If you're doing the former, try the latter, it will likely be much
faster.
Also, sendmail may be configured to throttle the rate at which you can send
messages; you might want to check with a sendmail expert on that.

Videos won't stream (eg youtube) and safari very slow

Hi, I have 2 problems and would really appreciate any help
1 - safari very slow to open pages and has been like this for weeks. I have seen a solution to change to 'opendns' under System preferences > network > advanced tab but I cannot see an option for that. I think this may be my problem as Google always opens quickly. Can anyone elaborate on this solution?
2 - Videos won't stream and just hang with circle (e.g on sites like youtube) which started about 1 week ago. Only thing I have done differently is watching megavideos on unknown site. I have tried the solutions given under other threads (e.g. deleting cache files and uninstalling and reinstalling adobe flash). This seemed to help slightly the first time I tried it but still took approx 60s to stream 1 minute video. Has now reverted back to not streaming.

To set up a test account, open System Preferences > Accounts, click on the padlock icon to unlock it, then click on the "+" sign, name the account "test" and leave the password field blank, since you don't need the account that long; you can delete it later.
Quit System Preferences, log out of the regular user account and into the test account, then try using Safari to load pages and videos to see if the problem continues there.
Other things you can try in your regular user account that may help your problem or solve it are this:
1. Go to Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
2. Go to Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Web Page Previews and delete the contents of that folder.
3. If you don't want to use the Top Sites or Cover Flow features, open Terminal and paste in this command:
defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSnapshotsUpdatePolicy -int 2
then press Enter or Return and quit Terminal
4. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
5. Go to Home/Library/Caches/Safari and delete the contents of that folder.
6. Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete these files (if you have them):
Downloads.plist
History.plist
Form Values
LastSession.plist
WebpageIcons.db
Then Repair Permissions, restart Safari and see if the speed is improved.
