Sharing with the wife (NOT sharing the wife!)

I would like to have a common shared address book and calendar with my wife.
Here's the history...
Have had a .mac/MobileMe/iCloud account all the time on my home Intel iMac (running Lion) and iPhone 3G/4 and iPad 2.
I gave my wife my old iPhone 3G when I gt the 4. I left the 3G hooked up to my Mobile me account to the current moment as my wife used most of my contacts and liked my apps.
We have separate accounts on the one home iMac. I already share my iTunes library and iPhoto library across the two accounts by storing them on external drives.
Now my wife has gone and got an iPhone 4S and want to start using it properly with her own apps within her own account. I assumed she needs her own separate Apple ID iCloud acccount so I set her up with one to use within her account on the iMac and her iPhone. Fine. However we would still like her to share and syc and be able to edit/append/delete from my iCloud address book and calendars.
1) Is this possible and if so, how do I configure the iMac accounts and devices?
2) Or, does she have to use my Apple ID within her iMac account and only select to sync address book contact and calendars?
I'm hoping it is 1) but will settle for 2) if that's the only way.

I believe you cannot sync calendars between two Apple ID's but if you both have an Apple ID that means you both have iCloud (She might have to set it up still) once you both have iCloud make sure you enable it in both of your Mac and your iPhone settings. Then whever you create a new Calendar event you will see a place where you can invite people, type in your wife's email she used with her Apple ID it will then send her an invitation and she can accept it. Once she accepts it, it will be added to her Calendar.
