Sharings Apps on different Ipad

Hi
I am using the new Ipad and now got Ipad 1 for my daughter to use. I was looking to download some of the App's I did purchase before from App store on Ipad1 but can't find a way to get them. When I open App store on my new Ipad there is somethibg called purchased and from there I can re- download all the App's I want but this doesn't exist on Ipad1 App store ?
Is there any way to get thoes App's ? ( without upgrading to IOS6 )
Regards,
Kenan

First of all, if the apps will only work in iOS 6, then you will not be able to install them on the original iPad anyway.
if you share an Apple ID with your daughter - go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sign in with your Apple ID and then you will see the purchased tab in the App Store. You must use the same ID on both iPads if you want to share purchases.
If your daughter has her own ID and she has been using that on your old iPad, she can sign into your aaccount and download your apps, but ... And this is pretty important .... She will lock herself out of her own ID for 90 days.

  • Adapting ios app for different iPad resolutions?

    So I've built an app, in Flash Professional using AIR 3.6, for the iPad 3's 2048x1536 resolution. However, I would also like it to be available
    for iPads 1+2 (if possible). How would I go about doign this? Would the app automatically downscale on those devices or would I need to create seperate packages for them?
    Will this affect performance and quality?
    I only own an iPad 3, so I am, at present, only able to test for that model.
    Thank you to anyone that could help explain this for me.

    If you have done nothing special to the stage scale mode, then it will just work fine, without you doing anything.
    One thing that may happen is that the iPad 1 may crash. If that happens you can solve the problem by having a second copy of your images at 1024x768, and use code to decide which of the two to show. Here is an example of how that might work, where in this case I have iPad 1 graphics on frame 2, and iPad 3 graphics on frame 3:
    import flash.system.Capabilities;
    var screenwidth:int = Math.max(Capabilities.screenResolutionX,Capabilities.screenResolutionY);
    if(screenwidth<=1024){
         gotoAndStop(2);
    }else{
         gotoAndStop(3);
    You would need to decide what stage size you're working at, and have one set of images at either 200% or 50%. My preference is to work at 1024x768, and have the Retina graphics on the stage at 50%, and the non-Retina ones at 100%.

  • Can we share apps on two ipads using two different accounts on the same computer?

    I just got and iPad 2 and am giving my wife my old iPad. She has a separate itune account for her ipod. Can we share apps on the two iPads with two different accounts running on the same computer?

    Dear Dah,
    I now have two iPads, which I also (need to) have separate AppleID's for. I understand I can share apps between them if I authorize iTunes on my iMac with both ID's, but I am not quite sure about the correct way to do that. I already have the iMac authorized for AppleID#1. If I go into iTunes and click on Store/Authorize this Computer... and enter my AppleID#2 information into Account name and Password boxes, does this authorize my iMac's iTunes for BOTH ID's or does it just change the authorization from ID#1 to ID#2?
    If the former is correct, I understand the way to proceed is to xync up both iPads to iTunes and then I can drag and drop apps from one iPad's library listings to the other, right?
    If this is not the correct way to get dual authorizations, what is?
    Thanks!

  • Is there a way to transfer or copy all my apps to another iPad with a different account? I was required in my job to use the one at work, but I would like to also see my current set ups and apps as in my personal one. Thank you so much!

    What I suggest is that you try to pair your apple ID with you company ipad and see if it works.
    Here is why::
    I believe that the Apple rules let you. They are something like:
    -- for a shared iDevice, you may put the app on one device
    -- for a device you use exclisively, you may put the app on five (or some number) of iDevices
    I'm not lawyer, so how you interpred this is a question.
    Now, you need to figure out how to do this.
    In the past at least, apple used this terminalogy.
        Personal
        Institution
        Layered. combines personal & institution.
    It depends on how your company has configured the iPad.
    I have read where you can have upto three apple id per device.

  • I have the new iPad . I don't know how my sister's apple ID was set. I have all under my iTunes account but when i need to update my apps, a different apple ID come up! how do i change that?

    Hi maggieanntb, your sister's Apple ID came up because an app(s) was downloaded using her account. To prevent that from happening, you would have to delete the app(s) that were downloaded on her's, and re-download them using your own Apple ID.

  • How do I keep two different iPads from having all the same apps

    I have an IPOD Touch and an IPAD 2.  My wife would like the IPAD 2 since I am getting the new iPad.  Right now the IPOD Touch and the IPAD have all the same apps on them, since I cannot create a different configuration for each one.   Now that I am getting the new IPAD, how do I set up a different sync configuration for each of the two IPADs?  Right now I have to manually delete the IPOD Touch apps from the IPAD each time I sync, since they do  not display correctly on the IPAD (small screen in middle of IPAD).   I just wonder if I have to manually remove my apps from my wife's IPAD every time I sync the IPADs in ITunes.  She does not want all the stuff I currently have on my IPAD.  I use an iMAC for the sync.
    Thanks

    It sounds like you're using the same AppleID to purchase apps for all devices, is that right? If so, you need to make sure that
    - You turn OFF automatic downloads for Apps (on the device, Settings, Store, Apps, turn off downloading)
    - You manually sync each device through iTunes (once you connect the device, or if you sync through wifi, you can specify which apps get synced to each device). In the Apps tab in iTunes, make sure you only select the apps you want to be on that device.

  • HT4623 I can't update my apps on my iPad because it keeps asking for an outdated username and password which is different to my current one

    I can't update my apps in my iPad because it asks me to sign in to an outdated id which is different to my current Apple ID

    Apps are always tied to the ID that was used to purchase them. If you bought the apps with old username and password, you have to continue to use them to update the apps.
    If you changed the username because you got a new email address, sign out of your old ID in Settings>iTunes and App Store. Tap the old ID and sign out then sign in with the new/changed ID.

  • We have 150 iPads at our school. What effective ways have you found to update and download new apps to such a large number of iPads? Can I download different apps to different sub sets of our large group - or must they all have the same apps?

    At our elementary school, our 150 iPads are separated into 5 subsets.  Can I download different apps to each subset, or must they all have the same apps since they all share the same Apple ID.  Some iPads are for grades k-2, and some are for 3-5.  I'd like to have the best apps for the different grade levels on the iPads.  Currently we have "iPad Carts" to house our  iPads in, and could use them to upload and update apps all at once, but don't utilize this function as we have a custom set up for the iPads that is erased each time we update through the carts.

    You can configure different set of apps for different groups of ipads.
    You need an mdm to do this.

  • Why are old apps from different user account still on iPad 2 when I changed to a new itunes account?

    I am a teacher and we are setting up accounts for our iPad carts, and we originally had one account for all our iPads, and have now switched to using three separate accounts.  When I logged into iTunes with our new ID for the cart, and tried syncing an iPad, it still had the old apps on the iPad that I was trying to sync with the new account.  The apps were also still in the iTunes Library, which I thought was odd since they are from the different account.  So are these apps supposed to still be on the iPad, and if not what should we do?

    If the apps are still in the iTunes library on the computer that you are syncing them from then they will remain on the iPad - more thatn one account can be authorised on a computer's iTunes (via the Store > Authorise This Computer drop-down menu option), the account doesn't need to be the one that is logged in. If you don't want those apps on the iPads anymore then you could delete them from that computer's iTunes

    The find my iPhone app shows my iPad and iPhone in a totally different location about 100 miles away and my devices are in my lap.... I'm confused ...

    Any thoughts on this , I'm worried that someone has cloned my device Id  and is phishing , or would there be just a major glitch in the GPS ? I have turned off the location app and turned it back on to see if it was a glitch still comes up to the same location about 100 miles way to a place I have never been.  Help !

  • Is there a way to get a second free trial of an app on my iPad with a different iTunes acct

    Is there a way to get a second free trial of an app on my Ipad with a different Itunes acct and password?

    You will be logging out of your current ID to do this, so you will lose all of your apps and things for your other Apple ID, until you switch back.
    This seems like hard work to save a couple of dollars.

  • I have a third party app installed on iphone 4s and ipad 2 gen the app is different file size say 1.1mb on ipad vs 888kb on ipad any idea?

    I have a third party app installed on iphone 4s and ipad 2 gen the app is different file size say 1.1mb on ipad vs 888kb on ipad any idea?

    its possible that since the ipad version of the app is the version made for ipad and the one for phone is made for phone that they could be different sizes because they are programmed differently. Also possible that since they are this way one may have had more updates to it than the other so it may have more added data to the app than the other one

  • How do i sync two different ipads to the same computer, but maintain two seperate list of apps?

    How can I sync two seperate ipads to the same computer without the apps from one ipad being loaded on the other?

    Do this for each device. You can do this with all iTunes content as well. Apps, music, photos, books, movies - everything. You can have unique content on all of your devices.
    You may also want to turn off auto sync so that you do not have to wait for the iPad to sync and then go back and make these changes.
    Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices - check the box at the bottom.... Prevent iPods, iPhones ....
    Then set up your sync preferences like this using Apps as the example.
    Connect the iPad to the computer and launch iTunes.
    Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
    Click on the Apps Tab on the right.
    Click on all of the apps that you want to sync to that iPad
    Click on the Sync Apps Heading.
    Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
    You may want to uncheck Automatically Sync New Apps under the Sync Apps list

  • Homesharing + Apple Remote App on 2 iPads = different display

    Hi everybody,
    I have the following setup installed at home: An Apple TV 2 + Two iPads. My wife and I are using the devices together, so each of us has their own Apple ID / account ("MyAccount", "WifeAccount") which we are using for our iPads. However, I have entered the same account for homesharing on all devices, so it looks like this:
    Apple TV 2: iTunes = MyAccount, iTunes Match = MyAccount, Homesharing (HS) = MyAccount
    First iPad (me): Overall: MyAccount, HS = MyAccount
    Second iPad (wife): Overall: WifeAccount, HS = MyAccount
    We are using the Apple Remote iPad App on both iPads to control the Apple TV 2. However, we have the following issue:
    When I use the Remote App on my iPad, I can directly access the music files which are in the iCloud through iTunes Match. "Directly" means I don't need to turn on my TV, i.e. I can see, browse through and select all music files directly on the iPad and they will start playing on the Apple TV.
    So I am not streaming from the iPad to the ATV2 (i.e. no Airplay); the iTunes Match songs play directly on the ATV2 as if I were selecting them via TV. So far, so good...
    Now, when my wife starts the Remote App on her iPad, she can see and select the ATV2 and she can control it via TV (with swiping and clicking), however, she doesn't see any of the music files on her iPad. This means that she always has to turn on the TV and click through all the options to select music (because that way she can see the files in the cloud), but she can't select them directly on her iPad.
    I understand that she doesn't have my iTunes Match account activated on her iPad, however, from my perspective this should not be required., since the ATV2 is logged in to the iTunes Match account and thus we both can select the music via the TV interface - but only I can see and select the files via iPad.
    Does anyone experience the same problem and/or has a solution for this so that my wife can select the songs on her iPad as well?
    Thanks a lot!
    Hobbes

    Hi Winston,
    Thank you for your answer! I agree that this seems to be a logical explanation, but then it is a strange way of implementation. After all, anyone can access all my music by going through the TV interface with the physical silver Apple remote, regardless if any computers, iPads or iPhones are turned on. So the ATV2 has access to all the music files and also lists them all, however, in the App only I can see them - my wife has to use the TV & remote.
    Further, home sharing should enable all my family members to listen to all "my" music. My MacBook Pro provides music via the "physical" iTunes library, my ATV1 provides music via the physical iTunes library (stored on the HDD), my ATV2 provides music via access to iTunes Match.
    So now I can access & see all files directly: MBP, MBP via ATV2, ATV1 and of course ATV2.
    My wife on the other hand can only access MBP, MBP via ATV2, ATV1 but not ATV2 unless she turns on the TV.
    So maybe Apple followed the logic you described when designing home sharing & the remote app, but then they moved from a great implementation on the ATV1 to a "user unfriendly" solution on the ATV2...
    Oh, well, looks like I'll be keeping my ATV1 longer than I had expected ;-)
