Sharpness/Softness control in edit

On my Mac-Mini iPhoto, the edit function in iPhoto is different from my newer OSX 10.5.6. In particular, the older version has a better "Sharpness" control in the edit function. In the older version the default position is in the center, equally between "softer" and "sharper". Thus, if I want to add softness to a photo (which can look very nice sometimes) I just mover the slider to the left. Buts with the newer version, the slider is all the way to the left, and there is no way to add softness. Any explanation or work-around for this.

Transport controls on edit mode audition 2

I seem to have lost my transport controls on edit mode for adobe audition 2. How do I get
it back to the way it should be? Also, where can I buy updated versions of adobe audition?

You've probably just covered up the transport controls - it's not that difficult to do. Just shift a few panes around along the bottom, and they'll probably reappear.
You can't purchase a perpetual Audition licence any more - you have to rent the software through the Creative Cloud. If you look around this forum, you will find plenty of comments about that...

Try this code in the PBO inside the module in the LOOP...ENDLOOP.
   IF SY-TCODE EQ 'ZEMPLDISPLAY'.
    LOOP AT SCREEN.
     if screen-name eq 'column1' or screen-name eq 'column2'. "Give the names of the columns in the table control
      SCREEN-INPUT = '0'.
      MODIFY SCREEN.

Or you can go the Layout of the table control in Change mode and for every column's attributes, make it 'Output' only field. Check 'Output only' field.

Its the uglyest layout I have seen, after using the IDT Audio Control Panell in my old HDX 18.
I miss the ability to change the backgrounds, the graphic EQ, the change of font and panell colour trim amung other things.

Hi, I to own a similar model spectre, 3210nr. I am having the exact same issue and was not able to be helped by tech support staff. Infact the staff I spoke to claimed it was hardware related.
I am unable to make any changes that are physically reflected to my beats audio control panel. Most importantly my volume dial is locked on clockwise operation despite my settings selection. I also cannot change my EQ or Recording experience settings.
The issue only started the other day when a technician was helping me with another random problem with my tocuhpad drivers.
I tried a system restore and reinstalling the idt drivers along with spending a few hours with tech support using a remote access session. I think they did a bios update which I think is a possible culprit.
I'd hate to send my laptop in for repair due to previous EXTREME negative experiences on multiple seperate occasions with HP. I really hope someone from HP see this message and is able to help resolve this issue. Or maybe someone in the community with a work around.

How can labview update the string control (text-edit box) after we have pressed the carriage return key on the keyboard during text-editing within that box?

Dear readers,
I have been trying to work out how to get labview to detect the event when a 'string' control has been modified, where the user has finished editing the string either by 1) pressing the enter key on the keyboard, or by 2) taking the focus away from the string control again. For example.. if I use the mouse to click on the string control and then I type 1234 into the box, I would like to have a routine that does something once the user hits the Enter key of the keyboard, or when the user takes the focus away from the string control again by clicking on something else. I would like the routine to respond even when the user didn't change anything in the text box (such as when we mouse-click on the edit box to go into edit mode, and then mouse-click on something else to remove the focus with no changes to the contents in edit-box).
The purpose of my routine is to have a edit-box for a user to change for example the centre-frequency of a vector network analyser, so that the centre-frequency of the network analyser can change once the user finishes entering a new value in the text-edit box by hitting Enter key after the number is keyed in. Even if the user has clicked on the edit box, but changes their mind by mouse-clicking on something else to remove focus from the edit box, I would still like labview to detect the event when the control loses focus, so that the centre frequency can be updated anyway (to the same value that was already in the edit box).
So far, I've tried set the string control option to 'limit to single line', so that I can try to scan for a carriage return .. '\n' ... pattern in the string. Unfortunately this doesn't work because labview doesn't seem to attach the '\n' to the end of that single line.
Could someone please suggest ways to set a flag when a user hits Enter during text-edit mode of a string control, or when focus has been removed from the string control?
While I've only described my problem for controlling a single control parameter on the gpib device, I'd like to make this feature work so that I can do the same kind of thing with other control parameters as well.

Hi Kenny,
instead of using the event structure, you can directly achieve to what you want by the KeyFocus property of the string control.
- Enable Limit to single line option
- Create the property KeyFocus in read mode and connect an indicator
Each time you click on the string to modify it KeyFocus is True; when you click away or hit Enter KeyFocus is False.
You can toggle your settings when KeyFocus changes from True to False.

Photos look less sharp when not in editing view

This is kind of confusing to explain...but I'll try!
When editing a photo in iPhoto '09, I adjusted it to what I wanted, but once I leave editing mode and view the photo as a preview (by double clicking on the thumbnail) it looks much less sharp and bright. I think it is the three sliders - definition, highlights, and shadows - whose adjustments are not showing if I'm not in editing mode. But it might also be the sharpen feature as well that is not showing. When I move it to my desktop and open it in Preview, it also looks less sharp so it's almost as if those editing effects aren't actually affecting the photo except in editing mode, or something. I know I didn't explain it very well so I'll try to show you with this example.

I am experiencing the same problem. I think the edits are not holding. I am going to look for another imaging / editing solution. Very strange

Sharpness/softness

HI all,
I was hoping someone would fix the shapness /softness in iPhoto 07. (Shapness starts at 0 and goes to 1.00). In Iphoto 06 the shapness could be reduced to -1.0. Why did they remove this this off, its the main reason, by wife wants to move down to iphoto06. (Softness is as importand as making an image sharper).

Enum control not editable in specify module

I created an enum control in LV8.0 and am trying to use the VI in TS3.5 as an action. When I specify module, the drop-down control for the enum is missing and the value is can not be editted. I've tried changing names of enum choices to as simple as ""one", "two"", but still can not edit it in TS.

Have you wired the enum up to the connector pane in LabVIEW as an input? TestStand will not recognize the enum control from your VI (or any other controls or indicators, for that matter) until you wire them to the LabVIEW connector pane.
Are you seeing the enum at all in TestStand's specify module window? Is it showing up as an input, however the dropdown window doesn't appear? Please post a screenshot if the above advice doesn't help you and I'd be happy to assist you further from here.

Volume control in edit view

How do I get the volume control to show up in the edit view of CS6? I thought I saw it in one of the demotration video's posted.

Sounds like I may have gotten turned off at some point. Click View > Show HUD to turn it back on.

How to Make a Table control Field Editable but input disabled

Hi All,
I got a requirement that in table control one column should be in edit mode (i.e. input enabled) but user should not be able to type anything in that field or column rather he can select the value from F4 help (or pick list) associated with that field or column. How to do this ? Please dont say make sceeen-input = 0 for that field.

Table Control in Editable mode

I have created an infotype which has a table control. But all the table control lines are in non-editable mode. I would like to have all the lines in editable mode.

If your internal table contains no record and when you are refering to the table control then all the lines will get disabled.
Now you will be knowing the number of lines your table control displays in singe page...say 10 lines.
So initially in the PBO append 10 initial lines to your itab. then set the property lines of the table control to the total lines of internal table.
Now in pbo capture the user command page down and append 10 initial lines to your itab.
Hope you got the idea.
Now if your itab already has some records , then just set the lines as total record count of your internal table.
Also change the property in the screen attributes for each field of the control

Is there a way to unhide a control at edit-time?

This should be a simple question; I'm probably missing something obvious. Sometimes I will be working on an application that I can't run because my computer is not hooked up to the necessary hardware, like motor controllers or DAQ. In that program, I have controls or indicators whose "visible" property gets toggled with property nodes. If I happen to save the program when one of these controls is hidden, I have no way of unhiding it without running it (which I can't do on my computer). While it is hidden, I can get a peek at it by double clicking the terminal on the block diagram, but that's not much use. You can always right click controls and go to advanced>>hide, but when they are already hidden, the option is still "hide" in the menu, not "unhide". Is it really impossible to unhide controls without a property node?

You can run [LabVIEW]\project\_ShowHidden\ShowHidden Core.vi. Assuming the VI in question is already open, just specify its name in ShowHidden Core.vi, and all hidden controls/indicators will be shown.

Control display/edit mode of an Assignment Block through code

Hi all,
Requirement : If status in Opportunity is XYZ (BT111H_OPPT/Details - BTStatus/Struct.Act_Status), I need to show items Assignment block((BT111H_OPPT/ItemsList) in display mode. When user tries to go into edit mode, display error saying - "With XYZ status, items are not editable."
Observations so far : In "BT111H_OPPT/OpportunityOVViewSet", method set_view_group_context involves interface "IF_BSP_WD_VIEW_GROUP_CONTEXT" that has methods SET_VIEW_EDITABLE etc., But there is no method to change to display mode. CL_BSP_WD_VIEW_GROUP_CONTEXT uses this interface and has a subclass CL_CRM_WFD_VIEWGRP_CTXT. This subclass has the method SET_VIEW_DISPLAY_MODE.
Question : How to access this method SET_VIEW_DISPLAY_MODE in my requirement? I tried to use the code from this method in my logic, but since attribute 'EDITABLE_VIEWS_TAB' is protected, I'm not able to do anything. Also is there any other way to get solution for my requirement.

if that method is not accessible then try with the below logic.
In the item , fetch the required status(gv_status) which you required .
THen in the item assignment block view, HTM..
check for the diaplpy mode. and store the value in a llocal variable.
lv_disaply_mode = controller->view_group_context->is_view_in_display_mode( controller ) .
if controller->gv_status = 'XYZ'.
lv_display_mode = abap_true.
endif
then pass this lv_display_mode varaible to the configtable display mode Attribute.
