Shelving CS4 till it gets sorted...

Too many flaky issues for CS4 to be viable for me in a pro environment often with time constraints (tight deadlines) so I am shelving it completely.
Shot two tvcs yesterday and thought I would try and edit them in CS4 today...
Gave up a after two hours because of flaky "playback issues". eg I can scrub a timeline and it is fine but playing it back (spacebar) is weird. Causes visual and audio problems and playing out to an external monitor is another whole nightmare(video fine, audio is out of synch depending whethrer I am scrubbing or playing back).
I seriously believe that there is two playback modes in CS4 and that is causing me problems that I can not resolve.
Rebuilt the project in CS3 and editing it, is as sweet and smooth as always.
Go figure how same hardware can work perfectly in an early version and not in the latest and greatest update of a piece of software.

Hi,
You might want to check whether both your browser's language settings are identical. The browser language could also determine the date format.
As a workaround, you could add an extra attribute to your context, and set the calculated property to 'true'.
In your table, add a new column and bind to this new attribute, and hide your original date column
If you sort using the date column that's hidden now, you could use the calculated field to fixed-format your date the way you prefer (by using the SimpleDateFormatter class for instance)

Invoice getting sorted automatically in MIRO

Hi ,
Can some one please hep in resolving the issue:
While posting the freight invoice in MIRO, orders are entered in the order of shipping invoice i.e. its not sorted.
When i enter values randomly in 'Multiple selection' one by one and execute, than all the invoices are getting sorted.
How to keep it unsorted? Can some one please help in chnaging the required setting.

HI CB,
While posting a invoice by MIRO, if you come across the following message as block for payment than it is because of Three way matching. You can see three way matching status in purchase order status tab in transaction code ME23N and in purchase order history in item detail.
Generally invoice is blocked for payment because of two issues:-
u2022 Price difference: - Price in invoice is higher than purchase order (above tolerance limit).
u2022 Quantity difference: - Quantity in MIRO is higher than MIGO (or good receipt).
Once invoice is blocked for payment you need to release it for payment via transaction code MRBR. For next time while posting an invoice through MIRO you should post invoice within tolerance limit.
You can display and change tolerance limit for invoice verification in customizing with help of transaction code OMR6.

When will this get sorted?

I've been with BT for a number of years and had Broadband with them too. But I have never had a decent connection. I can't even watch YouTube because the connection is so poor. I've tried various things after getting in touch with BT and nothing ever changes.
The last time I spoke to someone I was told my service would improve once the local exchange upgrades to fribre optics. That was supposed to happen over 6 months ago and still nothing has changed. What's the point of paying for Broadband when I'm obviously not getting what I pay for.
I find it difficult to make a call to BT with this problem because there is always communication problems between me and the operater and normally these conversations can go on for an hour or more. I'm willing to pay for an engineer to come out and have a look but I can't find on the website how to do that. I can't even find an email address to send this request. Which is why I'm on this forum.
I wonder if this will ever get sorted out.

Recipient List (TO, CC) getting sorted automatically

Ive created the reciever list using the following stmt:
LT_RECLIST LIKE somlreci1 OCCURS 5 WITH HEADER LINE,
at runtime im able to see the reciver in this table in correct order and even mails are generating correctly in spool/sost, but the mail header shows a different mailing order(i.e. TO and CC list gets sorted) when mails are recieved.
The TO,CC of each mail gets sorted alphabatically in spool/sost; and i want to prevent this. How can i stop this sorting ...

Go to Help > Configure Plugins... and make sure those listed in the first screen are listed and have a checkmark next to them to indicate they are active. That may fix the dictionary problem as well.
You may also need to reset the prefs. See Replace Your Preferences

That is becz of RECIEPIECT LIST of each mail gets sorted alphabatically in spool/sost. How can i stop this.....

My phone keeps coming up as sim failed, got till november to sort this out, dont haved an apple shop nearby, tried sim replacement, What do I do!

I've had my phone since last November, so I'm rushing to sort this out because my garuntee will run out soon! I'm in a residential college and my phone keeps Sim failing up to thirty times a day at least! had this problem ever since I got the phone, gone to the orange store and they sent me to apple, I dont have an apple store anywhere near where I live different customer services tell me different things, change your sim, update and have tried both, my temperary solution is to re boot my phone but because i dont know when it sim fials till I look at my phone, I only find out thatt I've missed inportant phone calls and old messages when I turn it back on, then five minutes later it Sim Fails again! I'm so frustrated because obvously I'm away form home and its been a buger to sort out I htink I've just ran out of choices. Got an expensive phone, on an expensive contract, when it doens't even work properly, bad signal, bad internet connection, dont know what else to do!

Is the phone carrier locked to O2 (sounds like it is)? Unless your friend requested they unlock it before giving it to you (ie. while it was still on an account on their network), it will be carrier locked to them.
You can contact O2 and ask them about unlocking it (they do support unlocking) but I don't know what they will tell you now that the account is closed and it is off their network. Regardless, they are the only ones who can help you with a phone locked to their network.

Why is it type in Photoshop CS4 and I get Photoshop FxG extension for my search?

I'm using Photoshop CS4 on my Imac Intel computer printing on my Epson Pro 4000 printer. I just started using Colormunki calibration software to make ICC profiles for my printing papers on the Epson 4000 printer. I;m a little pissed due a month of workiing out all kind of problems from the Epson folks telling me how Apple change everything around in Snow Leopard OS plus being told that the driver for the Epson 4000 only was for Leopard and the driver wouldn't work on Snow Leopard or if so have very limited printing features. Finally I spoke to one of the Epson tech people who told me that the driver for the Epson 4000 for leopard would support Snow Leopard OS
.In the past when I was using Leopard OS with photoshop CS4. I could go in, select let photoshop manage file, then turn off my color managment select my papers ICC profile and bang beautiful print. Now since I'm working in Snow Leopard I fellow the same set up and I get this terrible dark images like years ago when I first start printing on Epson printers. Where everyone use to open the file up about a 1 1/2 f stops to get the file to print close to what you saw on the computer screent. Then I discovered the color sync part in Photoshop and bang I got exactly what I saw on the computer screen back in the old days..
I spend all day making color profiles from Colormunki software and device on my roll paper enhance matte pape and canvas paperss with the color mangmenet off. I would print using these new ICC profiles and I get the same terribel color I got before using this software when I made profiles from Epson Enhance Matte sheet paper thinking there might be a slight difference between my sheet Epson Enhance matte and my roll Epson enhance matte.
Here is the joke. I select like printer manage files whch grays out any ICC profile because Epson told me that Apple asked Epson to turn off the feature undetr let printer manage file and then select a ICC profile as Apple said due to double color managment.
\When I select like printer managment file I get a print that looks like what I have on my computer screen. Has anyone face this problem with Snow Leopard selecting like photoshop manage file, select perceptual , and turning off color managment and getting terrible color prints?

Found out the answer myself. All this to say that the driver for my Epson 4000 updated for Leopard which is supported for Snow Leopard.
I didn't realized I had updated my Snow Leopard to 10.6.3 and the Epson Driver is onlly supported to Snow Leopard 10.5

A selected row in af:table does not get sorted.

When a table supports single selection and the table contains quantity of rows gt it can fit into its viewport, then, on sorting, selected row gets out of the sorting process. But when you move to the end of the table, select a row there and then sort the table, then all rows sorted correctly. The selected row, after sorting, always set as a first row in the current viewport, doesn't matter whether it is in the order or out of it.
Noteworthy, when number of rows is lt the viewport allows:
1. sorting works as it should to;
2. on sorting/PPR'ing, as it gets some time, one can see how the viewport updates in two steps and in the first step the first row is the selected one.
JDev's version is 11.1.1.3.0.
VO, iterator and tree bindings, af:table all the props related to data retrieving, fetching and row displaying have default values.
What can cause that?

so what you are saying is that the selected table row is not sorted but added on top. I tried to reproduce this with 11.1.1.3 but can't see the issue. I tried with editable and read-only tables

With IOS 7, the coverflow screen sorts strictly by album title. How do I get sorting by artist then by title, the way it was in IOS 6 and earlier?

There seems to be no way in IOS 7 to see a list of the album titles for an artist. The "coverflow" screen sorts just by album title, without regard for Artist, where in IOS 6 and before it sorted by artist (primary key) and then album title (secondary key).
Also, in IOS 6 and before, under the Artist search, selecting an Artist gave you a list of the album titles for that artist, then you could select the album you were interested in (or wanted to shuffle play). But in IOS 7, the Artist search gives you a list of ALLsongs for that Artist. There is no overview list of just album titles, and no way to shuffle just one album from that screen. Both IOS 6 and 7 allow one to shuffle all songs for the Artist.
How do I get back the Artist/Abums sorting or grouping, either ijn Coverflow or in the Artist search?

The large text size makes your post almost impossible to read.
Excessive use of bold or capitals (also) makes posts difficult to read.
You can drag most of the column headings left or right, or right-click on the header to turn columns on or off.
Once you've used File > Display Duplicates or Shift > File > Display Exact Duplicates you can use File > Display All or the Display All button at the bottom of the list to restore the display.
