How can I hide 20+ pdf files on a cd when I burn it? Put them into a folder?
I want one "master" pdf file to show when the cd is put in...
Than this one "master" pdf file will have links to the hidden pdf files on the cd.

Change the file attribute. However, try it on your harddrive first. I am not sure another file can access hidden files.

Not other than parental oversight. On the computer you can implement Parental Controls on a separate user account that they would use. You can then block certain websites. But you cannot do that on the iPad.
You could change your iTunes account such that they cannot access it in order to buy or download apps.

yes linestring themes will have the same restriction as polygon themes: you can add multiple of them, but you may experience strange behaviors when you attempt to turn one of them on or off. So the best practice is to ensure there is only one linestring/polygon type theme-based FOI added to the MVMapView object at any time.
This restriction is there mainly because of IE6's inability to support PNGs with alpha transparency natively.
And yes you may notice some difference in performance between IE and FF, mainly because for IE we have to apply additional processing so that it can handle PNGs with alpha transparency which introduces a lot of overhead.

After hiding them on your Mac's iTunes try logging out of your account on your phone and then log back into it.

Try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings. it won't remove anything from your iTunes library. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. Office 2011 top icons - can I hide them?

Not sure where to put this question so sorry if it is out of place.
I just installed office 2011 on my 2011 vintage macbook pro. I'm an experienced windows office user but first time using the mac version.
I noticed there are two rows of icons in excel. One is the ribbon which also exists in the windows 2007 version & beyond. Then there is another row of icons with items like new worksheet, file save, print, etc.
I'm trying to maximize my screen real estate to show only the cells. I know how to hide the ribbon. But I can't find a way to hide that other row of icons. Even in full screen mode that row of icon shows up. Is there a way to hide them?

Can I apply electronic signatures to secured PDF's and hide them?

I currently have our product datasheets on secured PDF's (approximately 40,000 of them). We post these datasheets directly onto our website.
What I am looking to do is to have 3 people electronically sign-off on each of these datasheets, before they are posted on our website -- however I do not want these signatures visible to the public.
Thus, can I use electronic signatures with secured PDF's? And can I hide these signatures?
Also, I have watched some of Adobe's videos as it pertains to group editing. Do you have any recommendations for more resources regarding this? How would I make sure that "Jim" doesn't sign something with "John"'s name?

When they cannot be opened I forget what it says. That's not much help I know. File not found or something like that. I can open an attachment from an e-mail see it, then save it to my computer and e-mail it to someone and they won't be able to read it. I will go back and check on it and sure enough I can't open it again. Frustrating.

Hiding photos in one folder hides them everywhere

I have a large group of photos from a trip that are separated into events for each day. I need to edit and remove some of the photos to submit to an organization. To accomplish this, I've created a folder for this set of images. I drag each event into the folder and this creates an album of the same name. My intention is to go through the images in this folder, "hide" and edit some of them, and then export the set to a disc.
I've discovered that each time I click "hide" on an image in this folder, the same image in its original "event" group in the main iPhoto window, is also marked "hide". I want to mark this image "hide" only in the albums in the folder that I've created to submit to the organization. Is this possible to do another way?
I know that I could just leave all the photos as they are in the main iPhoto window, but I want to keep the set that I submit to this organization separate for a couple reasons: one, its annoying to me to scroll through the photos and have many of them with the "X" on them, two, I will be putting together a slideshow of images, some of which may now be hidden and I will have to unhide them to do this, three, I want to keep a record in iPhoto of what I did and did not submit to the organization.
Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks, but if I delete it from the album, I can't see a photo that I've selected to show in the context of other similar shots that I've decided not to show.
It sounds like there is no way to do what I want to do. I understand the benefit of new albums, and folders holding pointers to the main image, but it would seem like it wouldn't violate this functionality to allow for a folder to contain notes, or actions (such as hide) that exist only in that folder--the image would not be altered, but the folder would have its own set of metadata.

For future reference, if you right click in an open space beside tabs, and hit customize, you can add a full screen button and not have to hide menus individually.

I did what rpearsonmtl suggests. For some reason that got me the following problem: After turning iPad back on, it did no longer recognize any of my purchased apps and music (but even if they showed as not purchased trying to purchase them would lead me to a message telling me i did have purchase them), after trying many things (to solve this new problem, not the one rpearsonmtl posted about) what worked was to close all apps, log off the app store, reboot the ipad, and loggin back into it (basically i took his advice again to solve my new problem).
Now, to solve the problem rpearsonmtl posted about what i did (but this time on an iPhone) was to simply close all apps, log off the app store and loggin back into it. No reboot needed apparently and maybe this also saved me from getting into the new problem i found myself into.
I hope this helps anyone who runs into the new problem. By the way, the solution found in my second paragraph also solved the problem of hidden music showing on my music app. My devices are an iPhone 5 and iPad mini, both with iOS 7.

Swf works with errors but how hide them from browser?

I've made an AS3 application loading and manipulating some XML data. The application works but there are some errors in the Output panel I'm unable to get rid of. But when I publish to HTML they also show up in FireFox. How can I flag them as non crusal and prevent them from popping up. Or even better correct and remove them?

The 'Error #1010' can in some cases be removed by referring to an xml object node as myXML[i] instead of myXML[i].text(), but I'm not able to remove it completely in my application.

I'm now embarrased to admit I actually control the XML as well. But I'll add receptionist to my resyme so I have a backup-plan in case Steve Jobs succeed his crusade.
But it's a fair assumption, Andrei1, since I didn't even know what, where or even if it's in my XML the problem resides.
I've never done the try/catch thing but I'll look into it. But to find the problem might be better in this case.....me...and my XML which is a 10000 line xml file I've exported from Excel. Are there any known issues? I'm looking for whitespaces or what?

Where are my photos? iPhoto library hides them AND renames the folders

I recently upgraded to Lion OS and can no longer see my photos and videos in Finder. A search shows that they are all in a dir that is actually an iPhoto library. Bizarrely it has been given the name of the first lot of photos that I imported in to iPhoto from a flash drive - so all of my photos are "packaged" inside a file called "mom's photos"!!!. In Finder it appears as a data item - NOT as a folder - the contents of which can be seen by clicking "Show Package Contents". Inside this "package" is the directory tree that Get Info shows is the path for a photo file. The photos have been arbitrarily put in to directories called "Modified" and Originals within which they have been stored in folders with year names ("2003", "2006", etc) that have no connection to the date the photos were created or their file names.
Is this considered to be progress by Apple? How can I work with my files independently of iPhoto or iMovie (raw video being also inside the iPhoto library "package")? How can I reverse the renaming of the folders? Can I rename the iPhoto library to a default name - such as "iPhoto Library" for example!
Any pointers on how to deal with this new regime for handling photos and video will be welcome

It's really very simple.
If you want to manage files, use a file browser.
If you want to manage photos, use a Photo manager like iPhoto.
No version of iPhoto has supported the user accessing the files via the Finder. None at all. In versions 1 to iPhoto 6 it was possible to view the contents of the library, but accessing was not supported. Making changes within the iPhoto Library was not supported. Renaming files and folders corrupted the Library.
So, with iPhoto 7 (released in the autumn of 2007) the library was moved into a package to protect it from Users making these changes.
How the files are stored simply doesn't matter. Why? Because everything you need to do can - and should - be done via the iPhoto application. It's a database, after all, and like any db requires that you manipulate the data via the app itself, not a back door.
iPhoto is your go-to app for anything you need to do with your Photos. You simply never access them via the Finder.
So, you can edit either with iPhoto - or in any other app: You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.
Or, you want to access your photos for any reason at all:
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
All of the above are a: faster and b: safer than rooting around in the old library folders.
I know it's a change but you'll get used to it. And, of course, if you don't, you can always use another app.

Are you working in PCUI? I believe this would be covered in the model access class/controller class or may be defined in the HTM page. Take a look at that.
If it is 7.0 (the forum is meant for that), you can find it the buttons in the DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT method of the contrller class.
You can hide the buttons as per the auth-object check.
