Shift+command+b not working for bold

I just updated to cs6 and my "bold" key command is not working. (shift+command+b on mac) I am using a font that has BOLD. I can select bold from the character palette and it works fine but the key command will not work. I checked my key command list and is there by default. It should work. It worked fine on cs5 for me. I even tried holding the fn key but no dice. Any ideas? I have to bold many many items so I can not possibly use the character palette....thanks.

"Nope" the first word of my response, was to your question. It means No. Meaning "No I did not copy a custom set". I am using default set.
I wonder if some other app has taken that kb shortcut. Nothing happens when I press it though....and I wouldnt know how to find out.
edit - problem solved. Even though the font says that it has a bold face I guess that it does not. Bold still works fine for other fonts. Sorry for your time.

Shift Command 3 Not Working, Any Suggestions?

Hello, My Shift, Command, 3 does not take a screen shots any more. I tried to delete (com.apple.symbolichotkeys.plist) and reboot but it did not work. Im using OS10.8.5 on a Mid 2007 iMac. Also I bought this from my friend and I changed the Name of the iMac & Disk, But the "HOME" Still has my fiends name why is this? Can anyone help me here? Thanks!

The first thing you should do after acquiring a used computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model. Look it up on this page to see what version was originally installed.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. I suggest you install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the gray installation discs that came with it. If you don't have the discs, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, it should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Once booted from the disc or in Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, buy it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.

Shift + Command + 1 not working after install updates Version 4.0.4

This morning I have installed updated for safari currently I have Safari Version 4.0.4 (5531.21.10).
Shift + Command + 1 (i.e. Show top sites) not working with new updates.
Does any one else has this issue with Safari.

Command link not working for project on deployment as ear file

Hi Jdev team / Jheadstart team,
Its a very strange problem i am facing ..
I have two screen with the same VO showing the details records split in two pages ( Master/ details)
it shows a table structure in the firts screen and on clicking through the command link shows the details in the secong page .
its working fine on the LOCAL machine ( JDEV) but once the ear file is deployed to the server it gives the follwing exception :

Use the uninstall scripts from Adobe to completely remove all vestiges of PPro from your computer. Then perform the installation.

Shift + Command + 3 not working anymore

Strangely as of yesterday I can't get the screenshot shortcut ( Shift + Command + 3 ) working anymore (it did work quite well for the last years).
Does anyone have an idea how that could be? Or how I could troubleshoot this?

Delete this file: com.apple.symbolichotkeys.plist
/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences. Drag that file from the Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash and reboot.

Duplicate command is not working for custom importer

Hi All,
I am working on a custom importer plugin. Basic features are working fine, but, I'm facing an issue with Duplicate functionality.
I added a new custom importer clip to project and created a duplicate of that clip (by right clicking the clip in Project window and selecting Duplicate from pop-up menu). Then I added both clip instances to timeline. Now, if I change properties of one clip instance it reflects in both clips. I noticed that both ClipIds are same and they are referring to same media path. I also observed the same behavior in SDK_Custom_importer sample. But, built in 'Color Matte' and 'Title' clips works fine.
As per my understanding, Duplicate command should create a new clip from existing clip and new clip should be independent of original clip after creation.
How to fix this issue? Is there any selector that I should handle to support Duplicate functionality?

Hi Chandan,
The Color Matte and Title clips are not quite the same as your custom importer example. Those are synthetic clips, without a file reference on disk. If you exported a title to a file on disk, and then reimported it, and duplicated it so that there were two clips in the Project panel that reference the same file on disk, I think you would have the same behavior as what you're seeing with your custom importer. Duplicate doesn't create a new file on disk. The user would need to do that manually, and then import the new file.

Command key not working for copy and paste

Hi everyone!Copy and paste doesn't work when I use the command key on my new macbook pro.Any ideas how to fix this?If I use the toolbar it works fine

Are you sure you are using Command+C and Command+V.
Works fine on my MBP Lion 10.7.2 in all applications.
You could also try using the Space bar and the Shift and Enter/Return keys when asking a question.

Command-shift-4 is not working!

Command-shift-4 is not working for me!
I know that the deafult shortcut for taking screenshots is command-shift-3, but i want to take portion of the screen and that is command-shift-4.
I have tried everything wich is;
1: Log out and restart then login, not working.
2: Repair the permissions, not working.
3: Unchecked the box for shortcut and checkd it again in System preferences > Keybord > Shortcuts, not working.
4: Created a new Admin-account, not working.
5: Resetet PRAM, not working.
6: Reinstalled the whole system, not working.
I will say that this problem only appears in OS X Lion but not in Snow Leopard.
If there is anyone who can help me fix this problem i would be really thankfull.

Keyboard does not work for 64 bit applications

Hello,
I hope someone can help me with this strange problem.
I can not use my keyboard for applications running in 64 bit mode. E.g. Adobe Lightroom 2 or the Chess application that came with the OS.
When I start up this applications in 32 bit mode everything is working.

I had been using my mouse for the chess game, but I just tried typing
e2 e4 and it worked. I presume that's what you mean by keyboard
The activity monitor says it is a 64-bit Intel app.
It's version 2.3 if that helps.
Interesting that the voice commands do not work for me. After calibrating and seeing that the test commands work in the calibration window, the command for the chess game all result in a question mark. It hears, it does not understand. Ditto in 32-bit mode.

Shift key not working for some letters

Hello!
i just got a new MacBook and just figured out that certain that the left shift key doesn't work for the top row of letters. That is q,w,e,r,t,y,u,i,o. The right bracket doesn't work with either shift key.
After reading about the possible influence of Sound, I looked there and didn't see any conflicts.
Is my only solution Apple? Or is there something else I can try?

i have installed jdk1.6.0_05. The javac command works fine but the java command does not work at all. even when i try java HelloWorld i receive this exception message

SELECT INTO ( variable ) STATEMENTS NOT WORKING FOR SYBASE TABLE AS VIEW

We have connected our 9i db with Sybase db using Hs connectivity.
and then we have create the view in oracle db for SYBASE_TABLE as SYBASE_TABLE_VIEW.
ALL THE INSERT, UPDATE AND DELETE COMMANDS ARE WORKING BUT THE
select Into (variable) is not working.
Please help to resolve the select into statment which is in BOLD in the below routine
PLEASE NOTE! FORM WAS COMPILED SUCCESSFULLY AND FORM IS RUNNING BUT SELECT INTO COMMAND IS NOT WORKING.
