Shift Grouping in EPH4

Gurus
I am using EHP4 in my project My issue is in single entry sceen(OPK0) in default tab page my shift grouping field is in grey.
I want to activate for this i was already created shift groping and assign in work center and also in single sreen entry i select freely definable tab and name given shift. the shift shows in CO11N Screen but it is not active.
please give solution to activate the groupng field in OPK0

Not able to use Shift field and Shift Grouping field while using OPK0

Hi,
I am using the SAP ECC 6.0 Enhancement Pack-4,
In Transaction 'OPK0' while confuguring the default value for shift in the *Default* Tab, i am getting the 'Shift - field:SHIFT_PROP('Proposal Shift for Single-Screen Entry') and Shift Grouping, in Display mode, i have also tried to configure it with SAP4all authorization, but still it was in Non editable mode.
Also i tried applying Note:1177952, but was not able to apply the same, as we are already using Enhancement pack-4.
let me know the solution to the above problem.

Shift sequence query in PP work center

Dear All,
I am having one problem while maintaining shift sequence in work center. I have maintain all config settings in OP4A shift 1 shift 2 shift 3 but when I create work center and select shift sequence, it is only taking shift 1 and not all 3 shift for all 7 days.
Can anyone tell me the solution?

Thanks for the valuable inputs.
I have created following sequence in OP4A.
1, Create a Group eg. CB
2.Create a shift definitions like SHIFT1,SHIFT2,SHIFT2, START/END DATE, START/FINISH TIME OF SHIFTS, NO BREAKS ARE THERE and assign it to group.
3. Define individual shifts SEQUENCE DAYWISE wrt to groupo.
4..Assign grouping in capacity header of work center.
5.Now go to add interval option and create a new version of capcity which contains desired shift sequence from the shift group assigned.
7. assign proper valid froma and valid to dates.
8. In capacity header screena ssign the newly created capcity vesrion as active vesrion.
BUT STILL i WILL ABLE TO MAINTAIN ONLY FIRST SHIFT SEQUENCE FOR ALL 7 DAYS.
SYSTEM IS NOT SHOWING 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT.
PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

Shift wise confirmation and shift wise production report

To get shift wise production confirmation and reports, I have maintained the following setting ,
1- maintained shift sequence and with shift grouping,
2- assigned the shift grouping to work centers,
other theses settings, what other setting to be done for shift wise confirmations and also production reports,

We had similar requirement for our manufacturing plant.
We have done Z-Development for
1) Shiftwise - Linewise Production
2) Shiftwise - Beltwise Packing
1) for that we have define new control key
2) That key assigned to master recipe.
(Why new control key ?
New control key is defined specifically to generate this report. Because Auto GR is done only at the end of packing and not at the end of shift. But we want report for each shift. That's why after each shift end proposonatly that much qty is confirmed by new control key. However actual Goods receipt is only happened while completing total manufacutring or packing)
3) That control kept as base of Z-development.
4) As far as shift timings are concerned, we have taken actual shift timings of our manufacturing plant.
Hope this will help to resolve your problem.

Shift Abbreviations in Shift Planning

Hello gurus,
Anyone ever experienced this?
i need to update It2003 with a period work schedule rule and not the Daily work schedule rule and it looks as though this is SAP STD that you can only work wirh DWS in shift planning.
Anyone with some crancking idea of how i can overcome this?

I am already using the Enhancement package 4 and business function LOG_PP_SRN_CONF is already activated. But still Shift field is not appearing the confirmation screen (CO11N). Even in the "Single screen entry of confirmations" configuration also (transaction OPK0 in Default tab) Shift and shift grouping fields are in INACTIVE mode. Please let me know... how can make it active. So that I can use the shift field in CO11N transaction.

Shift planning-automatic proposal

Dear All,
I need to have 4 employees on sunday (which is an off day).. but my requirement is to have 4 employees from 8.00AM to 17.00Pm (day shift) (daily work schedule has been assigned to shift group +abbrivation)
I have created a requirement for day shift on sunday.. but when i try to assign employee via automatic process. system doest pick the emplyees and assigned them to dayshift. manual assignment is working fine..
how can i do this? did i miss any config...?

Issue with Rotational Shifts

Dear Expert,
We have 3 shifts in plants for labors.
But 75% there is a fluctuation of their daily working timing.
Like employee planned working time is 08:00 to 04:00.
he will work this week in this timing.
But as per work load,he will work in other shift timing on the same week as well in the next weeks.some time in other plant as well.
Almost 1000 employee having such type of frequency..
Please advice, what will be the right approach for these employees.

Shift Planning is the best approach
Pre requisite: Daily work schedules should be ready.
Shift details are as follows
A: Morning shift (7 AM to 3 PM).
B: Day Shift ( 3PM to 13 PM)
C: Night Shift ( 13 PM to 7 AM)
Configuration steps of shift planning:
1.Create Profile in V_T77EP
Create new profile by copying standard profile: SAP_000001 or SAP_000005 .
2. Define substitution type
IMG->Time management ->Shift Planning ->Integration->Define substitution type.
Table: V_T556
3. Specify Shift Group
IMG->Time management ->Shift Planning ->Specify shift group.
Table Name: V_T77DB
Copy the standard group ie STANDARD and create a new shift group
4.Assign shift group to an organizational Unit
Use T code PP02 to assign new shift group to organizational units.
5. Specify Factory Calendar
In this step, we can specify which factory calendar is to be used for Shift Planning.
IMG->Time management ->Shift Planning -> Specify Factory Calendar.
6. Indicator for Shifts in Shift Plan (V_T77ER)
7.Assign your PS. Grouping for substitution to Personnel area and Personnel subarea.

8. Set Defaults for Substitution Types

I have defined Shift sequence , assigned to work center Etc .
But whr does the same will appear or what is the use of the same .

Normally the available capacity of that particular work center is calculated from the data we are giving in the capacity header/Available Hrs from - To and the break time, the number of work center and efficiency
If we give shift definition and shift sequence. We have to assign that in shift group in the capacity tab.
The available capacity will be calculated from your shift definition and brake time which is given in your shift group.
if your shift start time is 06.00 end time 14.00 break time is .5 hrs. Then Available capacity per day is 7.5 Hrs.
If your are giving shift sequence also 14.00 to 22.00 - 22.00- 06.00. Then the available capacity 7.5 X 3 = 22.5 Hrs per day.

Work Center Shift Definition

Hi PP Expert,
I have requirement for this shift :
Shift 1 : 08.00 to 17.00
Shift 2 : 20.00 to 04.00 next day
How do you define it in SAP ?
Should i create that like this ?
Shift 1 : 00.00 to 04.00
Shift 2 : 08.00 to 17.00
Shift 3 : 20.00 to 24.00
Is it normally maintain like that or is there any way to create in two shift definition?

Dear Arman,
During shift definition generally the previous shift end time will be taken as the next shift start time,but in your case the first shift
starts at 08:00 and ends at 17:00.
The second shift is starting at 20:00(Night 8'o clock) and ending at 04:00 in the morning.How do you treat the time between 17:00
to 20:00?
Check out in this way,In OP4A,create the grouping logic->shift defiition->
S1     first shift     01.08.2011     31.12.9999     08:00:00     17:00:00     9.00
S2     second shift     01.08.2011     31.12.9999     20:00:00     04:00:00     8.00
Then under Shift Sequence,
2S     1     2 shift sequence     S1     S1     S1     S1     S1     S1
2S     2                                S2     S2     S2     S2     S2     S2
Assign this in the work center capacity header,by definish the shift start as 08:00:00 and end time as 04:00:00 by mentioning the
duration of break,then in the grouping mention the respective shift grouping,in the intervals and shifts mention the start date and
end date and select the shift sequence.
Now in CM01 accordingly you will be able to see the available capacity,assuming you have not defined any break timings either in
the shift sequence or else in the capacity header in the work center.
Check and revert back with your queries.

Shift Definition

In the simplest of scenario, I have craeted a Shift grouping with 1 Hr break; So, the available work hours is 23 Hrs.
I have selected the same shift definition on all the seven days.
Now, I have added the shift grouping in the capacity header details in the Work center. But in the work center, I do not see the available capacity as 23 Hrs.
Am I missing something?
Kindly help on this.

1.Go to the capacity header data and create your shift in the capacity shift interval data.
2. Only after doing this you will be able to see the capacity

Hi Guys,
Anyone knows any enhancement to add customer specific fields in trasanction MF42N .In my client, they have three Shifts. Shifts will vary based on week that means this week may be first shift (say Group AA)then the next week they are moved to second shift.
So in REM I want to confirm shiftwise along with the shift group.
Pls throw some light on this.

Shift Planning-Specify Requirement

Hi,
for my company, we have 3 cosmetic store in total namely BeautyNorth, BeautySouth and BeautyWest. For each cosmetic store, we have 2 shift. One is morning shift another is afternoon shift. All morning and afternoon shift is different cause the stores operates at different timing. Hence, we have NS1, NS2, SS1,SS2, WS1,WS2.
For my shift group, I define as CSSG (Cosmetic Store Shift Group) and this particular shift group contains all these shift abbreviation namely: NS1, NS2, SS1,SS2, WS1,WS2.
I have also defined requirement types: Working days, Fridays, Weekends and PH with priority defined. For example, we define the requirement on weekdays with 15 employee. Will my 3 stores each have 15 employees for weekends or will the 15 employees for weekend be shared among the 3 stores which means for each store weekday there will only be 5 employees allocated?

Shift nummber during confirmation

Hi, can we mention shift no (1,2, or3) while confirmation of operations in production orders? pls advise.

Dear,
These setting made here is effective in the following cases only:
○       In the confirmation of the order header (CO15 and CORK) if you have set the Header Confirmation indicator.
○       In the time ticket (single-screen entry) CO11N/ COR6N, if you have set the order-type-dependent shift in the Customizing settings for single-screen entry.
It is work in CO11N also for that in OKP0 in details are you nee to select the freely define the screen name as SHIFT
If you set the Standard Profile indicator fort he confirmation profile, the system generally uses this confirmation profile for the entry of time tickets. Make the following settings in the confirmation profile:
○       On the Area Selection tab page, choose the Personnel: Shift area and specify a pushbutton text (such as Shift). This text then appears in the time ticket together with the Shift field.
○       In the Shift field on the Default Settings tab page, specify whether the system is to use a fixed shift grouping. In this case, you must stipulate a shift grouping.
