Shift key and move tool cs3 bug?

I've just installed CS3 and noticed that dragging a shape/object while pressing the shift key doesn't work like it should. It should constrain the movement to 45 or 90 degrees. But in CS3, when I drag an object this way it does funny things. When I press the shift key while dragging the object up e.g. it doesn't go straight up, but there's an offset of some pixels. Sometimes it jumps even further from one position to the next (about 200 pixels up/down e.g.). I've also tried deselecting all the guide/align options, but the same result.
Is this some kind of bug in CS3 (in flash 8 it works like expected)?
I now have to use the arrow keys if I want to move a shape up/down/left/right/diagonal. It does this both on the pc and mac version (so it's not that my version is mixed up of something).

If the Type remains unchanged when selected, you seem to need to both Show Edges and Show Bounding Box under View. You should be able to move it though. Otherwise, something else is wrong.

CS5: Shift key and vector shapes

When I have drawn a circle with the pen tool and I use the sub selection tool to move an anchor point I can no longer hold down the shift key to move the point straight up or down. This mostly happens to the lower and the left anchor points! Is there any way to fix this?

Sorry, I missed the bit about the bottom anchor points in the original post and I've found that there is definately an issue dragging lower anchor points with the shift held down.
See attached image for an example - I can't be 100% sure, but it appears as though the ellipse's bottom anchor is dragged at different angles to the vertical.
I've just run an update on the whole suite (24th August 2010)
Does anyone know how to raise this is a bug to Adobe ? Or do they monitor this forum anyway ?
PS - If you rotate the object 180 degrees, then the issue is also rotated (ie, the top anchors can't be dragged vertically)

My PSE 13 resizing and move tools have stopped working.

Please try resetting your tools from Photo Bin flyout menu.
1. Open Photo bin.
2. Click on Fly Out menu
3. Click on option Reset all Tools
4. Relaunch Editor13
and see if it helps.

Google Sheets: A browser error has occurred. Please hold the Shift key and click the Refresh button to try again.

Since upgrading to OSX Yosemite last night, I get this error message when I open spreadsheets previously created in Google Drive: "A browser error has occurred. Please hold the Shift key and click the Refresh button to try again." Following these instructions does absolutely nothing.
Word google docs open fine, as do spreadsheets that aggregate responses from a form and a select few spreadsheets; however most other spreadsheets display the same error message.
I've tried:
opening in Google Chrome - uninstalling and reinstalling Google Chrome: same issue
opening in Firefox: same issue
opening from sheets.google.com: same issue

moving tab doesn't work.

Shift key boots into Safe Mode, not Recovery.
This only works on a Mac running v10.7 Lion or later.
Startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you should be able to access the built in utilities to repair the startup disk and restore OS X using OS X Recovery

Shift Key and Wireless Keyboard

I'm trying to highlight several pictures in Photo Booth to send them over to iPhoto. I went to the genius bar and they simply highlighted all of the pics using the shift key and pulled them in. On my computer at home, however, I cannot highlight all of the pics, or even a series of them, using the shift key. This technique DOES work in other programs, even in iPhoto. Any idea why my shift key in Photo Booth (Mac OS X 10.4.11) won't work in the same fashion?

Firstly, I'd check what keyboard layout you're using. Goto System Preferences, Keyboard, and then Input Sources.
I'm guessing that it'll be set to either "British PC" or "US International - PC". Set it to either "US" or "British" and see if that helps.

Window pops up stating"browser error" when trying to access documents using google doc's. Holding shift key and refresh does not clear window. What's next?

Found a note explaining the significance of these errors.
It says:
"NZE-28862: SSL connection failed
Cause: This error occurred because the peer closed the connection.
Action: Enable Oracle Net tracing on both sides and examine the trace output. Contact Oracle Customer support with the trace output."

My keyboard has gone haywire, shift keys and scroll Lock keeps turning on by themselves!

Hello, recently I have a problem typing with my laptop. Mutliple times a day, both of the shift keys, and the scroll lock key turns on by themselves. These are the problems I face when typing: 1. Unwanted text is highlighted2. Letters are capital although caps lock is not on.3. When I try to browse in Google Chrome, text gets deleted and random windows start to pop up4. For some reason the word "QWEPRUIO" starts appearing sometimes when I type.
5. Someimes while I type, suddenly the text gone missing and an asterik * appears.6. Also when this happens, my wi-fi gets turned off automatically. IT guys at my work place tried fixing it but we can't seem to find the problem source.Please help me, this is getting rather annoying especially I am using the laptoo for work!It took me more than half an hour to type a decent email to my client Thanks!

By any chance did something get spilled onto the keyboard (even a small amount)? Liquids can definitely cause this type of issue (Trust me, I know from experience, I have kids.). If you rule that out then open the System Preferences and click on the Keyboard settings, put a check in the 'Show Input menu in menu bar' box. This will add a menu bar pull down menu that will allow you to 'Show Keyboard Viewer.' If you select the 'Show Keyboard Viewer' option does the keyboard layout match the keyboard you are using? When you press the keys you are having issue with does the corresponding key light up on the keyboard viewer? Please post your results.

I have Windows 7 and Firefox 3.6.1, when I am typing text such as email when I hit the shift key and certain letters it activates the shortcut keys and is very annoying how do I get this to stop?

This has happened multiple times. While typing email and also in forums. This is a new computer with Windows 7 so not sure if problem is something in Windows or with Firefox. Sometimes when I hit Shift and t a new tab will open, or shift and w will cause a pop up to come asking if I want to navigate away from this window. I have had other things pop up as well but not sure what they were or what keys I hit that caused them to show up. It tends to happen as I am typing faster. But when this happens, such as the shift t thing, I will close the tab and go back to what I was typing. Watching carefully that i am not hitting the ctrl key I hit shift t and the new tab will pop up again. The only way to get this to stop is to hit the esc key then I am able to to type fine again until it starts again. Once I was typing and my entire text highlighted and disappeared and I lost everything, so yes it can be extremely annoying. Hopefully someone can help me to solve this problem.

Yes, I have rebooted the computer several times. Logged off for the night and login this morning.
It still is happening.
It happens when I type a message in yahoo; when I login to yahoo, both trading platforms and several other applications.
After a while it stops - don't know if there is a key I strike that deactivates what every it is that is making the the keys perform the shortcut function. Sometimes by hitting ESC more than 4 times but less than 10 seems to stop it (or so it appears as the next time I type a msg in Yahoo mail the keys don't activate the toolbar "edit" function. Sometimes striking the backspace key over and over again when there is nothing to delete appears to stop it from happening.
Anymore suggestions? Greatly appreciated. Tired of retyping 3 or more times. Have gotten to the point where I type in word or notepad and paste my username and password into the appropriate areas or into the message area.

Ive had an iPad for a year or so, it's got tons of music on it. I recently got myself an iPhone. I read on here about how to set up a completely separate library using my same account (as my iphone couldn't possibly hold the same amount as my pad I thought it made sense!). Trouble is....as I set up a new library it asked me to name it, which I did. The trouble is now, every time I log in to iTunes it logs into the new library which is completely blank. It has of course not effected my music on my pad (phew!), I cannot find my original iTunes a/c anywhere on my pc. In desperation I tried to uninstall the iTunes off my pc, then reinstall, and log into my original a/c hoping all would be revealed thanks to the iCloud, but no.....it's blank! Is there anyway of copying (safely) all of my music and films FROM my iPad ONTO my new blank iTunes account?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Okay, try launching iTunes while holding down the shift key (again) but this time, click "Choose library". Browse to the location of the old library file. The default locations of the library file are inside the iTunes folder described in the following table:

Shift key and ctrl keys not working correctly...

both rt/lt shift keys are making symbols ⁄€‹›ﬁﬂ‡ÎÔÇÂ´ instead of caps and my ctrl key asks me if i really want to shut down my computer. i'm really hoping this is an easy fix but can't find anything in forums. if additional information is needed please let me know. HELP PLEASE

Hi, Chris. I don't know of any. If there were a way, I'm sure it would require that all the keys be working properly, which yours aren't. You've got crossed wires somewhere, and you're going to need a replacement keyboard.

I can no longer copy multiple files by clicking on the first file and holding the shift key and clicking on the last file. This worked until recently. I must have hit the wrong button at some point

I have been able to copy multiple photos on my Mac Book Pro by selecting the first picture and then holding the shift key while I select the last picture. This highlights all the pictures and then I can use the copy command. Recently that ability to select multiple photos (or files) has stopped working. I can only guess that I hit a combination of buttons that caused this feature to stop working. Any ideas on how to get this working again.

Your Template code is incomplete / corrupted.
That's why you can't edit it.
Try opening your .dwt file in a plain text editor like NotePad. Remove the editable regions from code. Save. Open in DW.
You will need to SaveAs Template (same name as the one used by your child pages). Add editable regions to match the ones in your child pages. Save.

Note 353042 - Howto: Activate transaction key (PROCESSKEY)
It has something for you ....
The process key (0PROCESSKEY and 0BWAPPLNM) of the InfoSources has not been filled. As a result, no key figures are updated because of the update routine of the participating InfoCube and along with it no records are inserted into the InfoCube. In each update routine, the system checks the content of the PROCESSKEY. If this field has no contents, then no data is written into the InfoCube because of the IF condition in the update rules.
Solution
So that you can work in the above mentioned InfoSources, you MUST activate the determination of the process key. This is done with the help of Transaction MCB_ which you can find in the OLTP IMG for BW (Transaction SBIW) in your attached R/3 source system.
Here you can choose your industry sector. 'Standard' and 'Consumer products' are for R/3 standard customers, whereas 'Retail' is intended for customers with R/3 Retail only.
You can display the characteristics of the process key (R/3 field BWVORG, BW field 0PROCESSKEY) by using Transaction MCB0.
If you have already set up historical data (for example for testing purposes) by using the setup transactions (Statistical Setup Programs) (for example: Purchasing: Tx OLI3BW, material movements: OLI1BW) into the provided setup tables (for example: MC02M_0SCLSETUP, MC03BF0SETUP), you unfortunately have to delete this data (Tx LBWG). After you have chosen the industry sector by using MCB_, perform the setup again, so that the system fills a valid transaction key for each data record generated. Then load this data into your connected BW by using 'Full update' or 'Initialization of the delta process'. Check, whether the system updates data into the involved InfoCubes now.
If all this is not successful, please see Note 315880, and set the application indicator 'BW' to active using Transaction 'BF11'.
