Shift Planning-Specify Requirement

Hi,
for my company, we have 3 cosmetic store in total namely BeautyNorth, BeautySouth and BeautyWest. For each cosmetic store, we have 2 shift. One is morning shift another is afternoon shift. All morning and afternoon shift is different cause the stores operates at different timing. Hence, we have NS1, NS2, SS1,SS2, WS1,WS2.
For my shift group, I define as CSSG (Cosmetic Store Shift Group) and this particular shift group contains all these shift abbreviation namely: NS1, NS2, SS1,SS2, WS1,WS2.
I have also defined requirement types: Working days, Fridays, Weekends and PH with priority defined. For example, we define the requirement on weekdays with 15 employee. Will my 3 stores each have 15 employees for weekends or will the 15 employees for weekend be shared among the 3 stores which means for each store weekday there will only be 5 employees allocated?

Shift Planning - Automatic Assignment Using Qualification as priority

Hello Experts,
We are implemeting shift planning and using the option of automatic assignment. We have defined the priority for assignment as 'QUALIF' ( Qualification - SAP Standard FM ) . When we are running automatic assignment it is not assigning people based on qualification instead it is assigning them based on shift timings. We have rsised this issue with SAP and they have come back saying that the system is designed to consider only the timings.
Just to explain further we have defined two requirement for an evening shift( 5 PM to 10 PM) with qualification 'Packer' and 'Stacker'. Our priority for assignment is 'QUALIF' ( Qualification - SAP Standard FM ) . When we run automatic assignment for evening shift the system is assigning employee with 'Packer' qualtification to the requirement of Evening with 'Stacker' qualification.
The similar error happens if we plan for more people. SAP is not considring qualification defined in the requirement and the qualtification assigned to the employee ( IT-00024) while generating the automatic assignemnt proposal even when all the employee belong to the same shift. The assignment is done randomnly.
SAP is recomending us the implement a BADI but we are not satisfied with this as when you look into the SAP implementation they have specified clearly that we can use prioritize assignment based on qualification using 'QUALIF' option.
Can you please advise if you had a similar issue and how did you manage to sort this out.

Customer Exit or BADI for PP61 (Shift Planning) for Saving action

I have a requirement to enhance PP61 (shift planning). First of all this program accepts any update of attendance for values before than current date, i think it should not happen by default. Thus we have to disable editing or display an error message when any user updates values for previous dates than today. I tried HRBAS00INFTY Badi but didn't get solution. Please give any Customer Exit or BADI name for this purpose.

i have tried BADI - HRPAD00INFTY but it does not have sufficient parameters for this requirement. And i don't understand EXIT_SAPFP50M_001 or 002 use...can you expalin me how it will help out my problem?

Shift planning per personnel areas??

hi,
my requirements is to implement shift planning per personnel area not organization unit!
i have created profile for object type IZ(personnel area) instead of O(organization unit.
the question is what is the relationship type and evaluation path??

Hi,
There are plenty of entries that have to be maintained during Personnel Area maintenance. One of them is assignment to a country grouping. Probably this entry is missing for you.
The best practice when you create new personnel area is to copy it from existing one. So I suggest you to do the same - copy the one that you already have to the new ones. Then you will save a lot of time.

Planned Independent Requirement Not getting displayed in MD04

Hi,
I am assigning material to nwa and doing advance procurement by using procurement type PIR. Reservation is getting created after release of activity but the same is not getting displayed in MD04.
The items of the reservation are getting displayed in MB23.
what could be the reason for this?

Hi,
Planned Independent requirements (PI) are normally configured for consumption by 'Dependent' requirements. Hence the PIR would have been replaced by the reservation from 'dependent' requirement. You can test and verify the same in development system.

Plan Material Requirements for Detached Order Assemblies in ETO

Hi all,
I need to plan requirements for a material used in engineering-to-order production. It's written in SAP Library ( http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/f6/089036e1e4b603e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm ) that I can plan independent requirements and assign them to the sales order. It's right, but I have two different sales orders and I need to assign a quantity to one and another one to the other: the system assign the whole quantity only to an order apart from the dates I have planned the independent requirements.

Creating Planned Independent Requirements for an MRP Area.

I am trying to enter Planned Independent Requirements for an MRP Area, with requirement type VSE and I get the following error;
"Only stock requirements are allowed when planning at MRP area level".
I can enter at the Plant level with no problems.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

The following is the excerpt from SAP [Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/81/470a58ddab11d1b55b0000e82de178/frameset.htm] I think you maintained a planning strategy in the MRP view (for the plant) which doesn't support VSE.
You can delete PIRs from an MRP area by deleting the MRP area number from the Creating Planned Independent Requirements screen and recompiling.
When you define the planning strategies and parameters in the material master, these parameters apply to the whole plant, including all the MRP areas within the plant: You cannot maintain the MRP areas separately.
The integration of the MRP area and the assignment of the MRP area in the sales order is supported only by a user exit in the sales and distribution user exit pool.
Sales orders with MRP areas are created irrespective of the availability check control group in the material master.
Customer order processing of production sales orders with the item category (account assignment Step E Single) is only maintained in the MRP area of the plant.
In Customizing and in the MRP area user exit, make sure that when transferring individual sales orders, only requirements types KE, KEK, KEKS, KET, KELV, KEV, KEVV, VSEF, and VSE are generated.
The following requirements types are valid for the MRP area: KE, KEK, KEKS, KET, KELV, KEV, KEVV, VSEF, and VSE.
You cannot plan with preliminary planning materials in the MRP area.
There is no planning strategy for the material segment of the MRP area.
The planning strategy for the material master segment of the plant is assigned to the material segment of the MRP area.
The consumption mode and the periods of adjustment are derived from the plant in the MRP area of the material master.
Only consumption customer requirements with planned independent requirements are allowed: VSF requirements with KSV and VSFB with KSV.

Shift Abbreviations in Shift Planning

Hello gurus,
Anyone ever experienced this?
i need to update It2003 with a period work schedule rule and not the Daily work schedule rule and it looks as though this is SAP STD that you can only work wirh DWS in shift planning.
Anyone with some crancking idea of how i can overcome this?

I am already using the Enhancement package 4 and business function LOG_PP_SRN_CONF is already activated. But still Shift field is not appearing the confirmation screen (CO11N). Even in the "Single screen entry of confirmations" configuration also (transaction OPK0 in Default tab) Shift and shift grouping fields are in INACTIVE mode. Please let me know... how can make it active. So that I can use the shift field in CO11N transaction.

ATP against planned independent requirements

I have set up materials that are linked to planning materials using strategy group 63. I have tested setting the planning material consumption to a 2 for forwards/backwards and 3 for forward only. I have set up planned independent requirements by week.
When I book a sales order it gives me a material availability date that is in the week prior to the availability of the material based on planning. For example I have 100 parts available for week 30 which starts on July 21 yet my sales order shows a material availability date of 7/16 and a goods issue date of 7/18. How can I ship the goods if they are not available yet. Any ideas on what could be wrong??

Sales Orders Assigned to Planned Independent Requirements

Hello everyone
I am trying to write an SQVI query which will show me which sales orders are confirmed against which planned independent requirement; so it will show the same data as MD73.
Is there a table which links the sales order to the PIR?

Urgent - Deletion of Planned Independent Requirements

Hi
I need to delete Planned Independent Requirements (MD62). I tried using the bapi 'BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CHANGE' setting the delete_old parameter to 'X'. However this does not delete the planned independent requirement.
Plz suggest a method for deletion of PIR programatically.

Hi,
Have you checked in ECC MD04 tcode. What is the date it is showing there?
If in MD04 date of ind. requirement is showing same as APO then there is no problem it is expected behaviour.
If not Try running CCR to correct inconsistency.

Hi, I am currently trying to figure out what data I need for converting Planned Independent Requirements from Oracle 11i to SAP. Can someone explain to me what equates to a PIR in SAP from Oracle?

As the name suggests ,it is independent on sales order or any other orders. It is the input to MRP. If for a material you are creating PIR in MD61 as 100 in 1 month, It means you need 100 qty of that material produced in your plant after one month. It is independent.
Then MRP will give you the procirement proposals like purchase requisitions(if externally procured materials are short of the requirement..i.e for 100 qty) and planned orders(if inhouse materuals are short of the requirement..i.e for 100 qty)...
PIRs are those which are created by you.. you can create them at any time. MRp will take care of making the necesary materials to be available for that requirement...i.e it will prompt us the dates on which the materials have to be available in the plant to meert the requirement...
PD and VB:
PDwill work with BOM structures.
Imagine the final material A , and its component B
you need 2 pieces of B to produce 1 piece of A.If you work with PD and you receive for example a sales order for A of 10 pieces , the MRP with PD will determinate that you need 20 pieces of B taken into account the sales order delivery date.
The system will use the BOM to know the quantity that you need. You will not have additional stock for the component B. The system will procure when and how many pieces you need.
IF with the same example you work with VB for component B, then you have to define a reorder point (example 5).
If your stock is bellow that level ,the system will procure to get again the reorder point level. If you have enough stock (example 30) the system will not create any purchase requisiton for B, independent of the sales orders of A , and the reservation of 20 pieces.
When yuo work with expensive components you should use PD , because you don´t have stock without pegged requirements.
if the materials are cheap and you need to have allways some stock , you can define VB as planning type.

Uploding MD61 (Planned Independent Requirements) Using BAPI

Hi,
i am using BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CREATE for uploading the planned independent requirements (MD61).
The flat file structure is like
Mat. Number...................Week 01 Forecast...................Week 02 Forecast..................Week 03 Forecast.
2011905..................................907........................................911..........................................916
the problem is i am uploading material no and week 01 forecast. i am unable to upload remaining quantities for the same material no.
plz help me regarding this.

I haven't used the BAPI to change Independent requirements, but there are standard transaction MD74, MD75 and MD76 to reorganize Planned independent requirements by date. These jobs are normally scheduled to run at start of period.
