Shift Schedule

Every month major departments are making shift schedule for the month in hard copy and sending to HR to upload in SAP. Any changes also are done by HR. Now it is proposed to maintain the shift schedule to be done directly in SAP by the concerned department and changes to be done by HR. It should not change the leave already maintained from before.
Please help me with the steps how to do it.

This is called ManPower Planning.
I guess there is no such concept, but we do have Shift Planning concept in Time Mangement.
But for this, we need to have REquirement Profiles, Job descriptions, etc mandatory to maintain.
this is a very tedious task, and i dunno to what extent it will match ur requirements.
Its suggested, not to bring that into SAP.
Lets C if any one has any prior experience n better views on this.

    There doesn't seem to be a buildin feature to import the shift from Word tables.

    Yes it is possible. You can add these additional shifts in the DWS and assign it to the existing personnel subarea groupings fpr Work schedule and DWS or may be the different grouping as per the requirement.
    Then create PWS using the new shifts in the table V_T551A, assign public holiday calendar and generate work schedule rules in the table V_T508A.
    Can u be a bit more clear on your requirement so that the personnel subarea groupings can be decided?

    You cannot post a shortcut to the calendar app. There wouldn't be a way unless you access this schedule via Safari, where you could post a shortcut.

    please i need some help, i have an employee shift schedule, that need to distribute the daily breaks within each interval shift but as per some conditions,
    as shown,I need fill “IN” at the interval cells that match its beside shift,
    From Row 14; each row considered an employee shift, in need to give every agent 1 hour as a break
    the build conditions:
    >> every agent must take 3 breaks the first: 15 minuts, the 2nd: 30 minuts, the last 15 minuts.
    >> we couldn't give a break at the first and the last hour at employee shift.
    >> at agent level: the duration between every break shouldn't less than 1 hour and shouldn't more than 3 hours,
    >> at interval level: at each interval break, the slots will be distributed as per SLA value at Row#:"10", change as per the given slots. The SLA value is a percentage value, i need the give breaks at the highest SLA value till this value equal
    the next lowest value then give slots to the next lowest value till equal the next lowest ect..., i need this operation to be looped till every employee take his 3 breaks as per the above conditions.

    For this requirement, I think you could define a variable BreakCount, before you set the cell as break, you could check the value of the BreakCount, if it is less that 4, you could set the value of BreakCount +1. If it is larger than 4, break, and go
    to next. If you have any other conditions, you could add the if statement before you set the cell as break.

  • Shifting schedules on Calendar?

    Hi,
    I'm a student and I use iCal as a reference to most of my lectures, tutorials, assignment deadlines, etc. One thing that really bugs me, though, is that I haven't found a way to schift my schedule when on a break between semesters. Has anyone experienced this kind of problem and if yes, could you please tell me if there's a solution? Thank you.
    P.S. What I'm looking for is similar to iStudiez Pro's "Schift Schedule" feature, except I don't want to use the app itself.

    Wish I could but I have an older version of Flash so I can't
    open it.
    About the cache thing.. the browsers use a cache so that
    after the first time you visit a website it brings up the graphics
    from the
    cache instead of downloading it from the website to speed
    things up. The problem with Flash embedded in an html page is that
    when
    you hit refresh on your browser, it just refreshes the html
    file and not the swf file that it loads. So.. every time you make a
    change to your swf file and go to test it, you keep seeing
    the old file instead of the new one.
    You can either go to your cache and delete just the swf file
    or you delete all the files in your cache (much easier). You should
    do that once in awhile anyway because the number of files in
    there gets pretty big after awhile. If you haven't emptied it
    before,
    it's going to take a minute to empty it.
    To empty the cache in Internet Explorer:
    Tools-->Internet Options-->Delete Files (in the
    temporary Files section)

    We are trying to use APO for Shop Floor Planning.
    I want to know, can SAP - APO (Optimizer Run) give shiftwise planning instead of day bucket ? i.e. instead of daily requirement, 3 shifts requirement saperately ?

    Hi Rajan,
    SNP is bucketed planning and the most granular bucket is a DAY.
    So in SNP you cannot do shiftwise planning. You need to use PPDS for shiftwise planning.

  • PSHFT - Shift Schedule Structure details

    I am supposed to get the details in this structure (PSHFT). This contains work schedule details. I am supposed to publish these schedules every day through a mail to employees. Is there anyway that I can read this structure.

    You don't 'read' a structure.  You can read from a table and place the returned data into a structure:
    READ TABLE itab WITH KEY x = y INTO wa.
    Can you clarify where this data is coming from?

    Hi all ,
    i am facing a problem scheduling in Routing  ,
    When i am doing scheduling in routing (CA02 ) as :
    Menu EXTRA  --> Scheduling
    here i am entering start Date : 30.09.2008 scheduling type Forward
    and lot size then the system is carrying the scheduling , the problem is with Earliest Start Time it is haphazardly(16:10:00) taking rather than that of the start time maintained for the first operation Work center, capacity header ,  which is there as 07:00:00 .
    From whr the sytem is picking / calculating this Earliest start time ?
    I haven't maintained interoperation times wait , queue time etc .

    is it affected by the same .???

  • Duration of a shift and planned downtime

    I checked the current postings, but couldn't find anything related to what I am looking for, while one or two related to time intervals and schedules was almost close...
    I am a project manager working on an xMII implementation that currently is not running ERP.
    The factory has a regular 8 hour shift schedule, a 6 hr weekend shift schedule, a 8 hr weekend shift schedule, a 6 hour holiday shift shift, and a 8 hr holiday shift.  For the 6 hr shifts the planned downtime is 40 min.  For the 8 hr holiday and weekend shifts the planned downtime is 65 min and the reg 8 hr shift has 75 min of planned downtime.
    My understanding is that xMII first looks at the schedule and then the interval.
    Does anyone have any idea around how the intervals could be set-up, linked to a schedule so that the code can see that the shift is 8 hrs in duration but because it is a holiday schedule 65 min of planned downtime should be subtracted instead of the usual 75 min?

    Hi Susan,
    Your understanding that 'xMII first looks at the schedule and then the interval' is accurate, but the standard time engine capabilities for Time Periods and Schedules doesn't really address your particular needs.
    It is a little unclear where and how you want to apply the 75 or 65 minutes of downtime subtraction, but if you default this to 75 and then only adjust it to 65 when you are in a 'holiday' schedule you could probably accomplish your desired outcome.
    A database table that contains the holiday start and end datetime shift ranges could be queried in relation to the current time for the notion of in/out of holiday mode.  So if you default it to 75 and then if the query indicates a 'holiday mode' change it to 65 for the necessary subtraction.

  • Shift and Shift Differential Setup Logic

    I am trying to understand the relationship with how shifts/shift differential policies/premiums work to together. I have been reading the user guides to try and setup my desired reqiurement, but am stuck so looking for help.
    The scenario I have is this:
    Shift from 7am - 3:30pm. Any hours worked outside this schedule are to be applied against a different pay code. I also need these hours to count towards overtime.
    All hours will go against the "Regular Hours" pay code and all employees have a weekly overtime earning policy of 40 hours.
    I tried setting up a shift with the above start/stop time and then created a workplan and linked that shift schedule. I also setup a new element for the shift diff override option because based on what I read it seemed like any hours outside that shift plan would be applied against that override element on the workplan. When I setup the element time information, all I filled out was the earning category of Shift Diff. I then created a rotation plan with just the one workplan and assigned it to the employee.
    When I entered time for the employee via the TK screen of 0600 - 1600 and ran the transfer process, all hours went against the REG pay code and nothing slip up. I'm sure it has something to do with my setups, but I'm stuck on where to go from here. Any help would be great! Thanks.

  • How create flxetime in Work Schedule

    the shift schedule for the following timings as Flexi timing is

    You can simply create a Daily work schedule with the felxi time and this will solve the problem.
    Under the Customizations:
    Define Daily Work Schedules => Under your Daily work Schedule
    Go to working times tab and here you have the option of Flexi Time
    under the planned working time you enter 8 to 5:45
    Under the core time you enter 8:30 to 5:15
    08:00 - 08:30 : Flextime
    08:30 - 05:15 : Core time 1
    05:15 - 05:45 : Flextime
    This will allow the flexi times, also please read the F1 documentation of the field for more information.

  • Wage types in Payroll Process getting doubled.

    Hi,
    experts i have an issue while running Payroll.
    An employee is having a change in shift schedules in mid of the month and while running the payroll the salary is getting doubled with same wage types twice as attached.
    Here the payable month days are fixed for a group of employees i.e.26 days a month. This days are given in IT 15 as no of days and this no is converted to RTE in payroll.
    in  (Indian Payroll Schema) INBD sub schema Function WPBP is creating Splits as per the master data change in IT 7 and in payroll iam getting salary doubled can anything be done to eliminate / delete the splits 01 or 02 as per the requirement to calc salary only on the required split.

    I think you must have written a rule to calculate the amount for 26 days use operation ELIMI * in the rule then check it once eliminated again you wanted the amount with splits you can use operation WPALL.
    Use operation ELIMI * as first line of rule.
