I ordered within in the first 5 minutes of the pre-order time. Ordered a 6+ gold, 64. Received a ship by confirmation from VZW, arrive by 9/19.
I have noticed other VZW customers posting that they have already received a shipment confirmation email several hours ago, I have not. Should I be concerned? I have already agreed to sell my current phone and my need to delay the transaction if I can no longer expect deliver by 9/19. Thanks in advance for any advice!
I wouldn't panic just yet. You may get a shipped email soon. Even those of us with shipped emails can see when tracking our package that a delivery request has been submitted by VZW meaning that technically we could expect delivery on Monday if FedEx was able to honor the overnight shipping being used but with the delivery request the packages will be delayed. I'd guess most whose packages are shipped won't actually receive them until Wednesday or Thursday. That's what usually happens during the preorder. I've always received mine before the "official" release day but only a day or two in advance.

Does anyone know which apps are web wrapped for allowing IMAPing to mail & calendar have push notifications but don't download data to the device?
Basically, our enterprise would like to allow users to use personal iOS devices to access mail, calendar and contacts (we're on Google Apps). However, our strict security requirements are such that we need to make sure the app isn't being "overly helpful" and saving the accessed data in a cache or pulling it down to the device in any way.
My quick test for checking if apps don't pull down data to reside on the device is to put the device in Airplane Mode. If you can see your email or calendar
entries with an app when it's in airplane mode, then it's pulling the data down or caching it in some way.
I've tested the Google Gmail app and the Google Apps Browser from G-Whizz and both fail this test since they cache the last mail and/or calendar entries accessed.
The only legit way for users to access our enterprise mail and calendar is through the browser only. However, they can't get push notifications or alerts for new emails or from their calendar. The concern and likely outcome is that users will just set up an account on the native Mail app using IMAP, either knowing and disregarding that it's a security violation or not really understanding that they're committing a security violation.
I gotta believe there's an app for that.

I'm an expat and it seems that these sites aren't really expat-friendly. They seem to be built for localization and assume everyone stays in the same place.
I don't know what I'd be considered. I'm a US passport holder and live in China, but I only speak some Chinese and I can't read it (it using non-latin characters is just too much for my mind's memory to handle). Besides that, I'm not interested in popular Chinese apps. They tend to just be annoying and kooky and generic and put together badly, often full adware and spyware (speaking for most Chinese software, in fact). In fact, a lot of apps I want are illegal in China (YouTube, Facebook, etc) and I use a VPN to use the services. I assume I wouldn't find these apps on the Chinese store. In fact, last I checked, there wasn't many English apps on the Chinese app store. This is probably due to their strict moderation or something.
I've been going to international schools since I got here and college would be in English too. I can speak some Chinese, but not read it.
Well, I guess the answer is that I can't use the App Store in English. So I guess I'll just sign out everything on my phone involving my Apple account and just start using third-party tools to do my business. -
Question : The Apple store reinstalled completly the OS this morning on my Mac , I have now to restore the data from the time machine . I have done it but its going on for already 2 hours and it continues ; Shall I wait ? and how long ,?

Most of the songs on my iPod Classic no longer show up on iTunes on my laptop. I deleted iTunes & installed the latest version but this did not change anything. For example on 1 playlist I have 66 songs but only 1 shows on the iTunes screen. Thanks you for any help.

I got new hard driver for my MacBook I don't have the cd but I do have flash drive that has the software I need help because when I turn on my laptop it shows me a file with question mark how can I install the software from the flash driver?
Hold down the Option key while you boot your Mac. Then, it should show you a selection of devices. Click your flash drive and it will boot from that.

My iCloud shows 4gb of data backed up for a phone I no longer have. How do I get this data to the new phone or at least see what it consists of so I can delete some of it
You can see what's contained in the backup except by looking on the phone (which you no longer have); even then, it only shows you broad categories like "Camera Roll" and your apps list.
The way you get this data on your new phone is to restore the phone to the backup. When you do this, it overwrites your data and settings with those contained in the backup. If you have newer data on your phone now (such as recent photos), you'll have to save these first. Then you go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase the phone. You will then go back through the setup screens as you did when it was new, and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below). Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this might take a while to finish. -

Insufficient data for an image error. We have Adobe Acrobat 11.0.10. Happens when edit pdf.
We are all updated on the Adobe Acrobat XI standard version 11.0.10. However, when we delete a page, extract a page, or even add a page we get the insufficient data error message and the PDF is deemed worthless. Looking over different forums, it seems that this has been an issue for many years although we have only encountered it recently.
What is being done about this error? Our company uses adobe for all our printing uses and we need to be able to edit PDF's.

I've been trying to recreate different scenarios and it seems that it is constantly happening when I delete a page and try to save the PDF. After deleting a page, when I try to save I get this:
When I try to close out it lets me save but then viewing the PDF I get this:
When this happens, we are missing signatures or chunks of texts above the signatures, or even whole pages of text.
We have never had this issue before and we do edit PDF's all the time. -

I just bought a used iphone 4, it has no account or data plan associated with it, so it has no owner, my problem is that I accidentally set a passcode for the phone that I do not know, how do I reset the phone WITHOUT itunes so I can access my phone again? Currently it will not lock me out unless I don't wake it up in 4 hours, I have it in the settings to require a passcode every four hours, can I take it to AT&T and set up my data plan and account on the phone as long as it doesn't lock the screen? Is there any way to Sync contacts from Outlook for Mac to iPhone 5? Apple support says that only iTune can only sync contacts from "Contact" which is the default contact of Mac. If one is running Outllok on a Mac machine then it is not possible to sync the contacts with iPhone. It is strange that Apple distributors are promoting and offering machines with promise that Windows users can now run MS Office on Mac machines without any problem. While this is true, it is so strange that one cannot sync the contacts from MacBook Pro to iPhone5. How do I change the email associated with Icloud on my phone. It's not my mail apple id, its and old one and I don't know the password anymore. I have another apple ID associated with my ipad and laptop and the icloud works great with that. I just did the new iphone update and now its constantly asking for the icloud/apple id - the one I don't even know the password for anymore and it keeps popping up all the time.
If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple IDand that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

Hello. When I was on the internet with previous Firefox, there was Trusteer Rapport (A seurity software for UK banking: http://www.trusteer.com/) icon was still there. However after Firefox gave me an update alart to be 9.0.1 on Mac OSX 10.6.8 today and after I followed the update in this early evening, Trusteer Rapport is gone. I have re-installed the latest Trusteer Rapport and re-launched Firefox for several times, however, it is still missing. The Trusteer Rapport is a required security software to log in to the secure banking websites such as RBS, NatWest and HSBC (UK) etc and also it validates web security for Paypal and eBay by the Trusteer Rapport icon on Firefox, therefore I require. How should I do? I have none of other additional add-on/plug-in installed, because previous Firefox has crashed by a conflict of Trusteer Rapport and Nectar Yahoo Toolbar before. If it was a bug, please fix it asap please. Thank you.

Yes it works again now after; I uninstalled Raport by Rapport utility, cleaned Rapport folders in system, re-installed the latest Rapport, activated at system preference, re-stated computer and then re-launched Firefox 9.0.1!
