Shipment of Free Item alongwith Parent Item (STO,Warehouse Picking and PGI)

Hi Experts,
In Retail industries Vendor/Company promote offers to customer free items along with Saleable Product so increase footfalls and basket value. In case there is free item with parent item, PO will be created accordingly as free item. Is there any standard method so that for certain period while creating STO/Picking/PGI when we select Parent Item automatically Free Item should be added and picking document contains the free item to pick.

By changing storage location you could do b'coz the new storage location is not maintained with warehouse, hence no need to perform warehouse transactions (TO creation and confirmation) before inventory mgmt transactions (PGI).
For trying pick up with WH, first u should have enough stocks in approppriate storage bins and u should perform pick up by creation of TO and confirmation.

Free Item Indicator on PO and SAP standards

Hi,
1. I'm trying to find the 'free item' indicator on my PO, but I'm not sure where it can be found. Where on the screen would this be located? Can I not find it because it's not configured in SPRO?
2. Just to confirm, say company X receives 110 items when they made a PO for 100. 10 items are free. Is the SAP standard to GR 100 and make a PO for 10 free items, and then finally GR these 10 free items?
I've searched on the forum but couldn't come up with anything.

According to the description, the scenario can be achieved by "free goods item" via condition
NR00 in info record.
1. you allow "grant discount in kind" in vendor master-> purchasing view
2. allow "Qual.f.FreeGoodsDis" in material master-> purchasing view
3. in info record-> condition screen->press "Free goods" button, and maintain the condition
    NR00 for example 100 PC/10 PC free.
4. customizing
    OLME
    ->Discount in Kind (Discount in Form of Bonus Goods)
    ->Define And Assign Discount-in-Kind Schema
    ->Determine Free Goods Schema
    set schema = NR0001 for "purchase group"/"Calculation Schema" combination
Then when creating PO with quantity 100 PC, apart from the main item, there would be another
subitem with "subitem category" = 4 derived by system automatically.
When doing the GR, 2 lines will be proposed, however only main item will be reflected in
accounting.
When doing invoice, also only the main item will have amount.

No more free item numbers (Please check)

Dear Experts ,
We are in a process of upgradation and during Unit testing I am facing a issue for which i require your suggestions.
While Converting the Planned order to prod Ord in CO40 every thing is ok except when i check in component overview i get a msg "No more free item numbers (Please check)" and the BOM item numbers are visible as 9999 where as it should be 0010 & 0020 .May i know why is it so and how can i rectify it .

I suggest you to do the conversion for a single planned order in TCode : CO41 or from MD04(screen itself by double clicking) and check the production order in Tcode ; CO02 / CO03.

Hope you can help me on how to make the free item in ME21N automaticaly checked and grayed out. I'm currently exploring this features and I can't see this in SPRO.
Hope you can give me instruction on the configuration that should be made or if this is possible or not.

I make use of this BADI zME_PROCESS_PO_CUST to throw an error if free item check box is not checked for specific document types.user should check that check box manually , but now what i need is to make that free item check box checked and grayed out automatically.
I achieved the funcationality to make free item check box checked automatically, so please help me to make that field grayed out.

Error : Delivery does not contain items to be picked

I have created Stock Transport Order (STO) and then Delivery Note with VL10g.
In Delivery Output EK00 (Picking list Printing ) gets populated along with EKSU (Picking List EDI output).
But EK00 only turns green and EKSU turns Red saying that "Delivery does not contain items to be picked"
My Conclusions :
1) Picking is happening with EK00 due to which EKSU doesnt get any items to be Picked and it fails in creating Idoc.
I want to make both outputs (EK00 and EKSU) turning green(Successful).
How can I do this. ?
Any setting or any other approach welcome.

First Check whether the Material in delivery are relevant for picking.
If yes, then try chaning the order of the Output in the Output procedure fist EKSU then give EK00
If EK00 is green agreeed , check if any automatic picking is done , becasue once the picking is done then the EDI output is failing.

What ever you said is correct..
But my requirement is regarding the "Output Type EK00 and
EKSU".
Requirement : -
1) Bussiness Process for my requrement is : We create Stock Transport Order (STO) in Me21n then Delivery note from this STO in VL10g.
2) As delivery note gets created tow Output types get populated in Menu Extra > Delivery Output > Header
those are EK00 (For printing ) and EKSU(for sending "Picking Request" Idoc).This process is fixed in our organisation.
3) Now My problem is Both Outputs EK00 and EKSU gets populated at Menu path given above, But only EK00 turns green but EKSU turns RED saying "There are no Items to be Picked".
4) Now I want to make both Outputs (EK00 and EKSU) Green producing Printing and Idoc .
I think now its pretty clear.
Please suggest.

Item not showing in Pick and Pack manager

Hello All,
One of the user added GRPO with 5 Items, but in Pick and Pack manager I can see only 4 Items from that GRPO.
Can anyone help to find out the cause for this.

Accessory Goods as Free Items

Dear All,
Pls suggest the SAP best practise for the below scenario.
We are suppling the material to the customer along with accessroies. As accessory material is not included in the sale order, stock for the same is not getting deducted. Neither BOm is configured not we want to configure the BOM.
Only parent material needs to be priced and accessroy material is not to be priced in the sale order. I want to use item category TANN for the same.....with revent for pricing as B - Pricing for free goods (100% discount) but still sale order taken the pricing after changing the item category.
Please suggest the best way to configure the above scenario so without carrying out pricing, stock should get deducted for the accessory material.

Since you are changing the Item Category for the accessories manually in the sales order, you assign the Line Item number of the main Item to which you are considering this as free items, in the column "HL ItCat'. This column is very nearer to the item category column.

Free goods-more than one material as a free item in sales order

We have a requirement for our client in free goods scenario in which the client wants to give more than one material(2or3 etc) as a free item in the sales order.I have already explored the slaes BOM functionality,anyother suggestions other than Sales BOM will be of great help to me.

Check out my [post|Re: Free goods process requirement] wherein I had the same problem once upon a time.
We tried all possible things, however concluded that through std SAP functionality the same is not possible.
FYI: Free Goods doesnt support BOM, Sub items, Product selection. etc.

Free Item in PO

Hi all,
I have a requirement to fetch all the line items in PO that are checked as FREE, in an ALV report. I am unable to find the Free item field in any of the tables. Could you please help me in getting that field.

I am not sure if the free item field is available in the PO tables. It is determined dynamically at runtime, however the below function module can help you to check whether the line item is marked free or not.

Free item reference document number not populated in MIGO item screen

I have a requirement where in I would need to populate the reference document number in the MIGO item when I am cancelling a goods receipt in case of free items.
In standard SAP system we know that it would only be populated when GRbased IV is ticked in PO but in free item PO this is not ticked . So was enquiring if any body knows how we could populate the reference document number at GR cancellation in MIGO item level for free items .

If you mean the field MSEG-SMBLN, then it is always populated at cancellation, no matter the GR-based IV flag.

Free items in automatically created POs

Hello gurus,
we would like to create POs automatically using MRP. The problem is that some of the materials are always free goods.
So if I created the PO manually, i would tick the free item checkbox. Can this be done automatically?

ask your ABAPer to develop a program to get the indicator automatically wrt to the document type,

Unrestricted sharing of free* items from iTunes Store

We are trying to find a legal but convenient way of managing our family iTunes purchases and sharing.
We are just beginning to use iTunes on a couple of new Macs, three iPads or iPod Touch devices and two old PC's.
We have a home Wi-Fi network with a network drive, where we can store items to be shared.
The children in a few years will move out and will take their music, e-books, etc. with them.
Our Internet connection is slow we would like to avoid downloading the same free item from the iTunes Store to libraries associated with different Apple ID's.
We want everybody to eventually have his/her own copy of our home videos and voice memos recorded on portable devices, which can be further shared without any restrictions.
I understand that some of the rules that Apple set for iTunes users are as follows.
1. Every item purchased from iTunes Store is marked with the ownership information i.e. information about of the account it was purchased from. (The account is identified at any given time by a unique Apple ID.)
2. The ownership information on an item can not be changed, i.e. I cannot give an item to somebody else, declining to use it any more, and transferring the item to that person's iTunes library associated with that person's iTunes account.
Question 1: Are the statements 1 and 2 above correct and precise?
Question 2: Does the same apply to free items (iTunes U, e-books, iPod/iPad apps) from the iTunes store? (it is painful to download the same free item to different accounts over a slow Internet connection.)
Question 3. Does the same apply to music imported into iTunes from a CD?
Question 4: Is it true that in order to allow the kids to take their items with them when they move out, one has to make sure that the items
have been purchased from iTunes accounts associated with their own Apple ID's and placed in their separate iTunes libraries?
Question 5: If I add our home videos and voice memos to my iTunes Library associated with my iTunes account, and do not retain other copies, will it be possible to copy such items to libraries associated with other Apple ID's without any restrictions? Will it be possible to extract such items from iTunes?
Question 6: As long as we are using the same Wi-Fi, can we share music, video, ebooks from libraries associated with different Apple ID's? I believe so, but please confirm. What are the restrictions? Is it helpful to place an iTunes library on a network drive?
Question 7: I believe the same iTunes library can contain items purchased through different iTunes accounts; also there can be multiple iTunes libraries associated with the same iTunes account. Are such options useful and would they help in managing family purchases and sharing?
Question 8. I noticed that a portable device can sync (download) items from only one library. Different persons have apps and music from different libraries associated with their own Apple ID's. We would like them to have also on their portable devices the same free e-books and home videos or voice memos. Do we have to copy such free e-books and voice memos to all the different libraries?
These must be questions many familes ask, but I could not find a precise and comprehensive answer despite browsing the web for several days.

No. It said nothing about authorizing a computer. I only have one I-Pod and one computer with my library on it. I have listened to these 4 songs for over one year on my p/c and I-Pod. This is a new one to me. These 4 songs still show up in my "purchased" section of my I-tunes but I cannot play them and they will not
copy to my I-Pod. I see where I can repurchase these songs at the I-tunes store, but don't want to pay for them twice. What do you think is going on? Thanks.

Calculation of sales tax for free item

Dear SAP B1 Experts
I have query regarding sales tax calculation for free item .
For EG. I have two item for sales (A = 1000, B = 100)   Sales tax is VAT4%
But when i am doing sales, i am selling B for free of cost with A for Rs 1000/-
here my tax calculation is (1000 *4%) = 1040/-
but as per the govt sales tax rule, we are liable to pay the tax for free item as well
So I this case, In SAP B1 how we will calculate the tax 4% for free item .

i have checked, its working okay, but
in Invoice print out unit price and line total is showing for free item. How i make the unite price 0 .
Tax only calculation is based on the Line total and the line total is based on the unit price.
in that case when i give the invoice to the customer.
It should show like this
Item A       100   * 10         1000
"    B           0   * 1              00
                                         1000
4% tax                               44
Doc Total             =           1044
