Shipping calendar- Time stream change.

Hi All,
is it possible to make different changes in same time time stream for different location.
For example- there is a time stream TSTREAM , which is attached to shipping calender of both location LOC1 and LOC2.
Now if 23 january is holiday for LOC1 and not for LOC2, Can we make location specific changes in calender? Is there any way to do this? or do i need to create 2 separate time stream with one having 23rd january as holiday and another as workday and attach to each location?
Thanks in advance!!

Hi
As far as I know, I think it better to go for separate Time stream or Shipping calendar for different locations. You can use the same factory calendar while only creating time stream you can directly edit the buckets in one of the time stream according to your holiday calendar for respective location.
Thanks

  • Does the SNP optimizer takes into account transportation calendars (time streams)?

    Hello,
We're trying to limit the days when a transportation lane can be used by including a transportation calendar(time stream) to the means of transport. The receipt days on certain locations, depend on the source-target location relationship so we don't want to do this through shipping/Receipt calendars at the location Level (/SAPAPO/LOC3).
    Example:
    Source A - Target X     Receipt days ( Monday-Tuesday)
    Source A - Target Y     Receipt days (Friday-Sunday)
    Source B - Target X     Receipt days ( Monday-Wednesday)
    Source B - Target Y     Receipt days (Thursday-Friday-Saturday)
We've tried this in an heuristic scenario, and it works. But when we run the optimizer, it doesn't seems to take into account the transportation calendars; it just creates distribution orders every day depending on the demand at the target location.
Does anyone knows if the optimizer run should consider transportation calendars, or this functionality is only for heuristics and/or CTM?
Is there another recommended way to model it?
    Cesar

    Hello Ada,
As you said, the calendar of the transportation resource overrules the transportation calendar (time stream)
I tested after removing the transportation resourced and it now uses the transportation calendar.
However, if a transportation lane has a lead time greater than 24 hours, we need that the system only ships on a specific day from the location source and receives the goods on the next day at the target location.
    For this example,
    Source A -  Target B;  Lead time (48 hours)
Shipping is allowed on Monday – Receipts should be on Thursday
if we set Monday through Thursday as working days or periods in any of both types of calendars (resource or time stream) at the means of transport, the system will plan shipments every day from Monday to Thursday, instead of only shipping on Mondays.
Do you know if its possible to have the behavior mentioned above (shipments on Mondays, receipts on Thursdays)?
    Best regards

My Distribution centre is working 1/1/2009
How do i set up in APO?

Maintain Production calendar (For Factory) and Distribution calendar (For DC) using transaction
S_AP9_75000138 - Maintain Planning Calendar (Time Stream)
In calculation rule maintain 5 days as working day using calculation rule "Weekdays"
then go to bucket delete day 1/1/2009 if showing as working day in Production calendar and keep this day as working for Dist calendar.
Then go to Location master in Calendar tab
assign Production calendar for factory location and distribution calendar (in shipping and recving) for DC.

  • Job to generate time stream calendars

    Hi Experts,
Is there a job that i can run in the background which would generate my time stream calendars based on a selection? We do change our holiday calendars frequently and we have a lot of time-stream calendars linked to it. This is becoming a huge maintanence effort, we would like to use a job which would run periodically and would regenerate time stream calendars.
    J.

    Juraj,
Yes, there is a program.  /SAPAPO/TIMESTREAM_UPDATE which can be executed in a batch job.  Implement OSS note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1245264 if it is not already in your system.
Unfortunately, when it encounters a problem with one timestream, it stops with a short dump.  I would have preferred that it skips the 'bad' timestream and finish the rest, albeit with an error log.

my iCal calendar that I created with the color green keeps changing to purple.  no matter how many times I change it to green, it turns it back to purple.  Of course this only happens with iCloud and not "from my Mac".  Any ideas on how to correct this?  This seems like a trivial error, but it's super annoying.

I called Apple and they said that they know about this problem.  It's a problem with iCloud which their Engineers know about.  (there was a new iCloud release, hence...)  No ETA for a fix yet.  I asked that this be escalated so Engineering doesn't put it at the bottom of their fix list.  I talked to a Senior Advisor and mentioned to them to have QA check their regression tests as this has happened before to me (the problem just didn't take this long to resolve).  I like to use green too for important stuff, so I've resorted to creating a new calendar using the normal calendar green for events going forward.  They could have picked another color besides green to have this problem with and I wouldn't have been so upset.  ;-)

  • How do I get my calendar to adapt to time zone change?

My calendar is run in MS Outlook on my windows office computer and syncs via Exchange 2003 server to my iPhone.
I live in Europe. I recently attended a business event in the States. All my appointments were in my Outllook calendar in local time. But when I got to the States and changed my iPhone to local time, all my appointments were shifted by 9 hours, this being the time difference.
The only hack I could find to get them to display properly was to pretend my phone was still on European time and reset this manually to the local time in California. Only then did the appointments appear at the right time.
Surely there must be a better way? Otherwise, what's the point of all the settings option for local time support?

Was the objective to have the appointments and calendar show in Euro-time while in California with the time shifted +9 hours while the device time was on California time?  As  i understand it, Location services controls the device getting it's own time from the local cell infrastructure, and calendar time zone support would allow the calendar to be displayed in a time zone other than that physical time zone the device is  present in....everytime this question comes up I have to review these two kb's...they are not light reading

Not sure this will work but if you go into the Keyboard preferences, then click the Keyboad Shortcuts tab, and then the '+', you can add your own shortcuts for any application.  I am not sure what happens if you try to override an existing shortcut since I haven't tried using this.
    Edit/Update:
Probably against my better judgement I'll also throw this out there - there's an Unsanity haxie called Menumaster which might also allow you to do what you want.  Against my better judgement because personally I stay clear of haxies.  It's (all haxies) probably almost certain to break in Lion.  They always do with each major release.

  • Time stream and Factory Calendar settings issue. Problems in scheduling!!

    Hi,
We have a factory calendar of working days from SUN-THU only (5 days a week).
Every working day starts at 07:00:00 (first shift) and ends at 06:59:59 at the following day.
I am not sure how to set the time stream. Do I set it for daily (5 days a week) with gaps start at 07:00:00. Or, as the standard way as daily (all days 1 -7) 00:00:00 - 23:59:59 without gaps.
We are using the planning board to schedule production orders that were created in ECC, but we see that we have problems with date corelation between the systems, and we think it is due to some wrong setting of the time stream!
    Thanks for your replies

    Hi,
For scheduling, the time stream of resource is relevent. As to how to generated the time stream, it depends on your resource capacity setting and your factory calendar. I'm not sure why your factory calendar starts at 7:00:00 daily. For the time steam of the resource, it should be ok to start at 7:00:00, and you mayexecute the time stream generation (ta. /sapapo/rest02) to save the time stream in LiveCache.

  • N8 calendar times change when in new time zone

How do you stop the calendar times changing when you enter a new time zone? This is very frustrating, particularly when the calendar contains flight times etc which you have entered in the local time zone of place of departure. Then when you move into that time zone it automatically changes every calendar entry! Annoying! I realise I can deselect automatic time zones, but then I'm guessing when I do change the time zone manually to where I am (so that it shows the time of day, and I can set an alarm to wake me up, etc!!!) then the same thing will happen - all my calendar entries will change. Hope someone has worked it out already.

the times are stored on the phone in absolute time, lets call it gmt. they are then displayed on your handset in local time.
the times aren't actually changing as you change time zones. they are very much staying the same.
to achieve what you re after you are just going to have to enter the times in one of the text fields.
There's no dignity in begging for kudos. Do it for the karma.

  • Time Streams and Shipping Dates

    Hello,
Does anyone have any documentations regarding time streams? I am checking on how time streams and determination of shipping dates such as loading date, pricing date, GI date, etc. are related.
I noticed that when we run ZZTTSTR program from SAP which clears time stream handles, before we create order documents, somehow some order documents determine wrong shipping dates.
We setup a background job to run ZZTTSTR daily every night and during the day we upload order files which converts to about 500-1000 order IDOCs and posted to be order documents.
Now, i removed the backround job of ZZTTSTR and the issue never happened again. I'm looking for more info about time streams so I can determine how this caused my issue.
    I hope someone can help.

You will get it within the window you were originally promised by Apple. If you get it early, bonus.
There is nothing else anyone here can say about it.

  • Calendar time changed when sync between itouch and mac

7:30am event on my mac changes to 4:30am on my itouch. Everything is 3 hrs early! I am sure time zone is right. Does anyone know what's the problem? Thanks.

I have had same issue & the Apple store even swapped my Touch over lst week, with no change in result. However, I found this today in one of the forum threads:
    Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>Time Zone Support>New York

  • Can anyone help me determine why iCloud changes the calendar time of appointments.

Here's my situation: i use an iphone registered/acquired in spain. the phone is unlocked and now carries a t-mobile card, as i am currently in nyc, but all my calendar appointments have a 6 hour time difference from those entered on my mac and vice versa. there are several threads about this issue, all of which point to the various hardware and software settings (time zone support on or off on the iphone as well as on the app on mac and phone). another user mentioned the setting provided for in the icloud calendar function itself, where the proper time zone can be modified. all to no avail, i stil get my 6 hour time difference.
    anyone please?
    thanksamillion!

Thank you fromsouth, for your interest, but it didn't help.
I have 3 scenarios: Entering an appointment on the mac's calendar, on the phone's, and on iCloud's calendar. If I enter an appointment on the mac, it shows up correctly on iCloud, but is off by 6 hours on my phone's app. If I enter it on the phone's app, it will be off on iCloud and therefore off too on the mac. I've deleted the app (I use WeekCal, but see the same discrepancies on the iCal app) and reset it all new, but the problem prevails. Unlike my earlier assumption that the problem lies with iCloud, I now believe it is in the phone, although wouldn't know where. I see that the iCal app on OS has the ability to adjust for the time zone. When entering the event on the phone, it gets syncronized on the Mac at the phone's time zone, which for some reason appears to be set at my original Spanish setting (GMT+1), even after I reset the time zone to NY. I can manually adjust the calendar time zone setting on my Mac to EST to correct the time for the appointment.
    Quite frustrating!

  • Time stream ID

    Hi,
I want to use a time stream ID for the storage buckets profile. I created it in the spro configuration, but when I go to the SAPAPO/TR32 transaction the time stream ID is not available. What sholud I do?
Do you have any steps to create and assign a time stream ID?
When I create the stream ID, there are 2 tabs called: "Calc. Rule" and "Periods". What are these tabs for?
    Thanks in advance

    LCD777,
You can create/change/delete timestreams using transaction /SAPAPO/CALENDAR.
There are a couple of ways to define time streams. Yes, you must define the buckets on the Calculation tab.
Hit Change calculation rule.  Select the type of bucket you wish to use.  Define on the following grid how you wish to assign valid hours/mins/secs.  hit calculate periods.  The system will then take your rules and create the buckets.  your can review on the 'Buckets' tab.  Finally, and most importantly, ACTIVATE with the red&white ball.  This puts the timestream into livecache, and therfore available for all processing.  Save.
