Shipping Date was off and no updates on when it wil arrive.
Hi there, I purchased a 50" inch Samsung TV at the beginning of this week 4/27 and when I chose my shipping option, Best Buy's website stated that I could either pay 60 bucks for a next day (4/28 Tuesday) delivery or get it delivered by Weds 4/29 for free. Of course I chose the free option since it was just one day's difference, and now this is the second day I have missed from work as I wait for my TV. Considering I only get 4 days of sick leave per year, it is imperative that I resolve this and procure the exact delivery date. I have already tracked my order via both BB's site and UPS. Yesterday, which was my original delivery date of 4/29, Best Buy's tracking info said my delivery date had been changed and was now set for Thursday, which was already upsetting because BB's site at the time of purchase as I mentioned said it would be Tues. Tracked it again via UPS's site and see my TV has been holding in a suburb less than 30 mins from my address since 5:00AM and there are no further updates. I am livid as I would had gladly shelled out the 60 bucks which pales in comparison to the 16 hours of salary I could be receiving instead of sitting here waiting for this delivery. I normally get home from work at this time and am dissapointed that still no TV has shown up. I am very upset and would like to be compensated in some fashion as the Best Buy website should had informed consumers at the time of purchase that their free shipping date is a guess and subject to change, for then I would had paid for the expedited process. I am hoping there is a good explanation for this. Thank you.

I am always anxious about the arrival of my shipments and if they are not delivered as expected, I can become a little frantic. I very much regret that your delivery experience didn't meet your expectations; certainly your inconvenience and frustration were never our goal.
Using the information that you provided when you signed up for Best Buy Unboxed, I was able to review your order, which shows that it was placed shortly after 6:00 p.m. local time. To my understanding, this is after our warehouse shipping cut off time and could very well have influenced when your order was available for UPS to pick up and ultimately its delivery day. This should have been reflected on BestBuy.com as well, and I'm at a loss to explain why it was not for your order.
With that said, I was very happy to read that your new TV arrived at last. I hope that it gives you many years of delight.

1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -

Cable suddenly turns off and is "updating" often
In the past week when i turn on the tv it says updating, probably 3 times this week. Then, in the past day while i'm watching tv it suddenly turns off and restarts, updating again- four times in less than a day. Why is it doing this?
Try "Core Temp" Aida has not be updated in years. Its most likely overtemp of the CPU. A power problem is the next most likely.

Not too sure of what you are saying but try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!

GPS does not appear to work with data-roaming off and no wi-fi network
I have been using an application called imarkmyspot to produce way-points for synchronising with my camera. When I am in my home country this works fine and a GPS location is found quickly.
I've recently been abroad and had data-roaming turned off to avoid high expense. The point is that in this situation the GPS does not work (with imarkmyspot or Goggle Maps) unless I can access an open wi-fi network.
So my question is, is this correct? Does GPS only work with either data access on or when within range of an open wi-fi network.
If this is feature (bug) of the iPhone then this makes applications such as imarkmyspot rather useless when travelling. Alternatively it could be imarkmyspot that has this problem of course. But I'm quite sure Google Maps did not work either in this situation either.The iPhone's GPS does work without a data connection.
Two weeks ago on a work-related trip I knew I'd be traveling a rural highway that would leave me without data/voice from any source for at least 45 minutes (no GSM service). Before leaving a city with data, I zoomed out using Google Maps far enough to show most of my route, then "nudged" the map so the application wouldn't try to get a data update for the map. I simply used the top power button to turn on and off the screen. The iPhone and GMaps tracked me through for the entire blacked-out section of my trip - I made sure the device had a decent view of the sky and it got a fix and nailed the location within a few seconds.
Ironically, I'm returning that device in the next few hours for an exchange. The GPS hardware, it seems, has failed about a week ago - the device gets A-GPS fixes now (it shows the nearby 3G and EDGE towers), but won't lock in for more than a second or two. My iPhone's GPS worked, and now it doesn't - AppleCare told me my GPS hardware has failed - and you're may be exhibiting the same failure.
Some A-GPS devices use their sources to get close by - like my TomTom GO and the ephemeris files it grabs from their servers to get updates on where satellite locations are - and then use the on-board chip to nail the device's position. From what I understand of the iPhone's assistance mechanism, the data tower's and Wi-Fi physical location needs to be correct and available in an accessible database somewhere - my iPhone was showing me near Houston TX (2200 mi/3500 km distant from my actual location) when using 3G data until the data source was updated. -
