    Hi,
Every Shipping point has corresponding number range for the HU box number assignment?
For example, we are doing packing, then a Handling Unit number has been generated.  So where to define this number range of the HU number??
Is it from the SPRO or controled by programs.

Appendix D: How to do Automatic Packing?

Appendix F: How to Unpack the Handling Unit Material?
A handling unit is a physical unit that consists of the packaging materials (load carrier / packaging material) and the goods contained therein. A handling unit is always a combination of materials and packaging materials. All the information contained in the material items, such as batches and serial numbers, is always available by way of the handling units.
Handling units can be nested, meaning that you can also create new handling units from several handling units as often as you like.
Handling units have unique, scannable identification numbers that can be formed according to standards such as EAN 128 or SSCC.
    Figure 1: Handling unit example
    Structure
The handling unit object contains the following attributes:
    •     Identification number
    •     Dimensions
    •     Weight
    •     Volume
    •     Status
    •     Materials and quantities
    •     Packaging materials
    •     Packing instructions
A handling unit consists of a handling unit header and handling unit items. For identification purposes, it is given a unique number.
    Handling unit header
The header data of a handling unit is divided in the following way:
    •     Weight/Volume/Dimensions
    •     General data
    •     Means-of-transport data
    •     Additional data
    •     Output determination procedure
For more information about each of these detailed points, see Editing detailed data for handling units.
    Status
The handling unit is linked to general status management. In this way, the various physical states (planned or implemented) and other attributes (weighed, loaded, blocked or posted goods issue) of handling units can be documented.
You can use the HU_ST_INIT user parameter when you create handling units without object reference to set which initial status the handling unit is to have when it is created.
If you want to implement a status of your own, you can define a user-specific procedure for the packaging material type (see also Define Packaging Material Types).
    Handling unit item
The items of a handling unit can consist of material items, packaging materials or other handling units that appear in an overview. For more information about this overview, see the Contents section of Editing detailed data for handling units.
To access the item data of an individual handling unit, select the handling unit concerned and choose Goto  Detailed HU data  Contents.
    Integration
Handling units can be used in all processes within the supply chain.

  • Shipping point determination is not happening for CRM sales order in ECC

    Hi,
When we create direct sales order in ECC, shipping point determination is happening automatically that means all the relevant settings are properly maintained in ECC for automatic determination of shipping point.
But when we create sales order in CRM and replicate it to ECC, shipping point field is empty even though we use same master data.Hence we are unable to create delivery document.
All the master data (Org structure,Customers,Materials and plants) downloaded from ECC to CRM.
Your help would be highly appreciated.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Nagi

    Hello Nagi,
Shipping point is determined by the following three factors:
      1.shipping condition 2.loading group 3.plant
So please check your customization by the following steps:
1.Use T-code OVX6 to check if you have assigned the plant to your CRM order's sales organization.
2.Shipping condition is usually taken from CRM order directly. Please check whether you have CRM order shipping condition set to the same one as creating ECC order VA01
3.Use T-code SPRO then press F5, go to Logistics Execution  Shipping Basic Shipping Functions  Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination  Assign Shipping Points to check the shipping point is assigned correctly.
I hope this could be helpful.
    Best regards,
    Maggie

  • Shipping point not defaulting loading group for materials

    Hello all,
I would like to know how to set up a particular shipping point defaulting to particular loading group for certain group of materials. would this change has to be done manually in the material master or is there any customizing changes that has to be done for this change.
    Thanks,
    Maxx

    Maxx,
This sounds like standatd Shipping Point Determination.
    1. Create a Loading group for your material
    > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination > Define Loading Groups
2 Assign that new Loading Group to your material(s)
    > Tcode MM01, MM02
    3. Assign combination of Shipping condition, Loading Group, Plant, & the desired Shipping Point
    > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination > Assign Shipping Points

  • RF Queue for a specific Shipping Point ...... Is it possibe?

    Hi,
We have around 10 doors and 10 shipping points. Transfer orders created for all the outbound deliveries are directed to an RF queue for picking.
Now, we have a specific  Shipping Point which we want to seperate out for picking and we want the transfer orders to go to a different queue.
    How can this be achieved?
Few clues which might work out are :
    1) If we can somehow link that shipping point to a door, then we can create a queue for that door. But how can we link a shipping point to a door?
    2) If we create a new storage type and direct our picking to the new storage type. Is it possible? how?
    Any other suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

    It is http://server:port/reports/rwservlet/showmyjobs.
I have a pull-down (mmb) menu item that does the following. We're using Single Sign-on; not sure how this would need to be modified without SSO.
    WEB.show_document(:GLOBAL.report_server_url||'/showmyjobs','_blank');

    Hi Vicky,
    Shipping Point Configuration:
    1) SPRO->Enterprise Structure->Definition->Logistics Execution->Define, copy, delete, check shipping point...  for Defining the Shipping Point
2)SPRO->Enterprise Structure->Assignment->Logistics Execution->Assign shipping point to plant... for linking Shipping Point with Plant.
3)SPRO->Logistics Execution ->Shipping->Basic Shipping Functions->Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination->

  • Shipping point in STO

    Hi sap guru
In stock transfer (ME21N) from one plant to another plant in a same company, iam getting a message shipping point XXXX is not allowed for the combination of shipping condition 01, loading group 0001 and plant xxxx.
I had maintained the above combination of shipping condition, loading group and plant assigned to shipping point(xxxx) in shipping point determination.
What might be the missing link?
    Thanks in advance
    Vijay

    Hi,
Check your cuctomer master for shipping conditions and material master for loading group. check wether you have maintained  these(shipping con and loading group) accordingly to the plant in the shipping point determination.

  • Shipping point in STO defined upon storage location

    Hello, all
On stock transport order I want to set up shipping point in a way that it is determined regarding to storage location I have entered in header of STO.
Storage location is saved in field EKKO-ZZLGORT (tab Customer data). Now I need solution how to determine or overwrite shipping point when entering items.
    For example:
. if storage location is 100, shipping point should be AAAA
. if storage location is 200, shipping point should be BBBB
I know that shipping point is determined according to combination of Plant-Shipping conditions-Loading group. And it works this way now.
Is it possible to do this via customizing ? If user-exit is needed please specify which and what must be modified. I'm not a programmer but I know business process. Will get help of programmer if needed.
I'm looking for this solution because I want to prevent that VL10b puts Stock transport orders with different storage location in header on same delivery.
    Thanx in advance,
    RJ

    Hi,
You should be able to use METHOD if_ex_me_process_po_cust~process_item to change the shipping point. We've created a customer table in which we've set the corresponding plant, SLOC and shipping point combination which is read during execution of the BADI.
You can also use METHOD if_ex_le_shp_delivery_proc~save_document_prepare for changing the shipping point in the delivery.
We've used above for return items. We're on 6.0 as well and for all non return items, standard customizing is available, but not for returns.
    Hope this helps.

  • Organisation structure - Shipping points

    Hi,
We are about to implement SAP for one of our factories, and we are in business modeling stage.
Question: is there any general rule when mapping the needed number of shipping points in a plant, except for "geographical" (if the shipping points are located far away from each other in the warehouse)? Also, is there any way to use LE to minimize the number of shipping points needed? They all have the same factory calendar so there is no need to create multiple shipping points because of that.
The plant would need at least one shipping point for the purpose of shipping/receiving returns/inbound delivery.
    Thanks,
    Lars

    Hi,
As you know Shipping point is also used in determination of Picking location.
In a plant there might be more than one storage location and some of them might be warehouse managed. In case if you are shipping the material from SLOC which is not warehouse managed and also from the SLOC which is warehouse managed; in that case better to have 2 shipping points.
So that in Sales document once you have Shipping Point1 then the SLOC is 0001  which is warehouse managed and when Shipping Point2 is used  then the SLOC is 0002 which is not warehouse managed.

  • Delete Shipping point assignment with plant

In my current system there are a lot of shipping points assigned to Plants. It is taking a lot of time to delete them. Is there any easier way to delete all these assigments in bulk? Please let me know if there is any report that I can run inorder to delete them.
    Thank you,
    Ravi

GO TO SPRO -> Enterprises structure -> Assignment -> Logestic Execution -> assign shipping point to site then search for plant and delet the shipping point which you don't want to keep,
    and
SPRO -> Logestic Execution -> SHIPPING -> assign shipping point and delet the shiping points from shipping point determination

  • Shipping Point Vs Loading Point

A little clarity is needed btn the two...I think shipping point could be equated to a control office where all deliveries have to go through. Loading point is a physical location that deals with specialized (eg within car spare parts divison - sensors, belts, lights...etc) handling and could be at every plant location where goods are loaded onto the shipping vessel. How accurate is my understanding of the subject?

    Hi,
<b>Shipping point</b> : The physical location (for example, a warehouse or collection of loading ramps) from which you ship the item.
    Use
You can predefine shipping/receiving points in the system, based on different combinations of
    plants
    shipping conditions
    loading groups
During delivery processing, the shipping/receiving point is the most important criterion that you use to select deliveries.
A delivery can be shipped from one shipping point only or received at one receiving point only.
If you want to provide more detailed information about a shipping point you can specify a loading point (for example, one of a number of different loading ramps).
    Example
If, for example, you want to ship refrigerated goods to a certain customer by rail, the system proposes a shipping point with a suitable location and equipment for loading refrigerated goods onto rail cars.
    Procedure
The system can propose a shipping/receiving point. If valid alternatives are predefined in your system, you can change the shipping/receiving point manually.
You can define a user-specific default value for the shipping point in the user parameter VST.
<b>Loading point</b> The exact physical location where the loading of a delivery item takes place (for example, the number of a specific loading bay).
A loading point is a subdivision of a shipping point.
The loading point can be entered manually in the delivery header.
First enter the shipping points for which you want to define loading points.
To define the loading points for this shipping point, enter a two- character, alphanumeric key and a description. In addition, you can enter a short text for each loading point to indicate the area of responsibility.
Hope it helps. Pl reward if useful.

  • Mapping Shipping Point Determination

    Hi,
In our plant, we have one shipping point. This is the point where goods finally issue from the plant. And the carrier we used for is dumper. If  the ship to party address is far from the plant then we unloaded the goods from the dumper  in the rail yard and from there again loadind activities carried out.In the rail yard we have one storage location where we kept our stock means for rail transportation. The distance between plant and Rail yard is 20 km.In this situation should we go for a new  shipping point for  the rail yard.
    Regards
    Jyoti

    Hi there,
No need to define a new shipping point for customers to whom goods are transported in train. Infact in SAP shippng point is from where goods leave your plant. Once they leave your plant, it is not the responsibility of SAP to monitor the shipments. Carrier / forwarding agent will take care of the goods.
In your case, I would suggest that its enough if you maintain only 1 shipping point for all customers.
For eg plant 1234 / loading grp 0001 / shipping conditions 01 --> shipping point ABCD.
When maintaining route determination, you can specify the stages from your shipping point to the customer.
For eg In the above case you have proposed a route XXXX from your Delhi plant to a customer in Bangalore. Route XXXX will have the following stages:
    1) Priliminary leg: plant 1234 Warehouse - carrier warehouse 9which is railway station), carrier YYYY
    2) MAin leg: Delhi Railway station - Bangalore station, carrier YYYY
    3) Subsequent leg: Bangalore station - Bangalore customer, carrier YYYY.
Likewise you can maintain stages for all routes. With this all yoru customers will be served by the same shipping point. How the carrier manages the goods from your shipping point is not monitored in SAP.
Different shipping points based on the customer distance is not advisible. You will maintain different shipping conditions only o the shipping conditions or loading grp are different.

  • Express shipping point

    Hello Gurus,
there is paragraph about shipping point:
"As each delivery is created via a shipping point, and each run of the
delivery due list is made with reference to a particular shipping point, you
may want to have an express shipping point. This way, you can run the due
list every half an hour for one shipping point only to create deliveries for
that particular plant. Likewise in the sales order, the user knows that if he
manually enters a specific express shipping point, he will have the delivery
created within half an hour. The remainder of the deliveries may be created
via the delivery due list in the normal processing run."
I want to know what is the express shipping point ? and how to make delivery run every half an hour for this express shipping point?  thanks very much!

    Hi
It is like a normal shipping point in all aspects but only dedicated for cash sales/rush orders. Since these orders determine this special Shipping point, periodically deliveries can be created, without making any delay in deliveries.
    Thanks,
    Ravi
