Shock of my life... Y50 is dying?

A bit of story first. After a lot of thinking and even more searches from shop to shop, I finally bought the Lenovo Y50 about a month ago from Dubai. Its the 1080p IPS version with Core i7 4710, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD (8GB SSD) and 4GB nVidia GeForce GTX 860M. It performs like a champ and it was perfect (at least for a while).
But after about a week, I noticed something when I tried to plug in an HDMI cable. The cable wouldn't go in. Apparently the port was kinda partly covered by the plastic shell around the keyboard. The matte plastic shell wasn't sealing properly with the bottom metal, there was a gap. A bit of down push corrected the issue, but it killed the laptop in the process (I mean the laptop immediately turned off) . I restated it and it was working fine till today.
Today, I was typing a bit and I rested my palms around the same area and boom...display started flickering... weird artifacts came on...Windows went to its blue screen of death.

So disappointed eventhough its working fine now. But I am sure any pressure around the left side of the keyboard would trigger it again. ! I am thinking some kind of hardware issue during production. What do you think?

If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities window appears, select
          Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar at the top of the screen—not from any of the items in the OS X Utilities window.
In the window that opens, type this:
res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens. Close the Terminal window to get it out of the way.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select
           ▹ Restart
from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it.
*Note: If you've activated FileVault, this procedure doesn't apply. Follow instead these instructions.
