I am having this same problem. Before the updates, the Adobe Flash player NEVER crashed in Firefox (it did in Google Chrome all the time) and now it's crashing in all my favorite games....Farmville, Frontierville, Yoville, and Treasure Isle. It doesn't seem to be effecting the less-detailed Zynga games, such as Mafia Wars or Vampire Wars; and I can go into more detailed games that aren't Zynga and they seem to work fine too. I am not 100% sure what exactly the problem is, or who is causing it because I had a Firefox update, and then an Adobe update to the 10.1 beta. So I'm not sure if it's one or the other, or both of them put together.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled the flash player so many times my mind is numb, and even tried to find the one I had prior to this new 10.1 and nothing has worked. I even did what that link Chris posted to do, and I thought it had worked at first...I actually got to go into my Farmville and Treasure Isle for a little bit, then it turned around and crashed again.
This is literally driving me crazy trying to figure it all out.....and it upsets me that everything was fine one day, then after some updates, everything is messed up. And it's just my luck that it effected some of the games I like to play the most.

  • Crashing on the latest flash player 15 plugin

Crashing on the latest flash player 15 plugin

    Hello,
I noticed in your system details you have two versions of the same plugin:
    * Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.1.1.151
    * Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.0.7.148
Having multiple versions of the same plugin can cause issues - see if you can remove the older version.
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on '''Settings''' in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
    # Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/>[[Image:fpSettings1.PNG]] <br/>
    # Remove the check mark from '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.
    # Click '''Close''' to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
    # Restart Firefox.
This [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player Help - Display Settings page] has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.
Does this solve the problem? Let us know.

  • Need help uninstalling Flash Player to do a clean install.

    Hi,
I'm feeling pretty stupid now, since I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.
    I'm running Windows 7/ 64 bit. I've got Flash player version 11.1.102.63
I'm having Spotify problems, and Spotify support asked me to uninstall and reinstall Flash Player before reinstalling Spotify. But I can't seem to get the blessed thing to uninstall.
I'm following the directions here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
I've killed everything killable on the toolbar. I've checked with Task Manager to see if any applications are running (none are). There are still processes running I've run the uninstaller in Administration mode and in user mode and in every mode I can think of, but when I restart after uninstalling, I've still got the Flash Player installed-- same version. I get no error messages when I run it, it just (apparently) doesn't work.)
Any ideas? Any stupid mistakes I might be making?
    Thanks!
    Cheryl

    Hi,
Google Chrome pre-installs the Flash Player in their browser.  That is why it is showing as installed in the screen-shot you posted.  Firefox does not pre-install Flash Player.  You didn't specify how you uninstalled Flash Player.  Did you use the Flash Player entry in the Control Panel or the uninstaller?  The uninstaller will uninstall all versions of Flash Player on the system, except for the version pre-installed with Google Chrome, however, you can disable that by navigating to chrome://plugins.  You may need to click on the '+' sign next to 'details' in the upper right to view all installed plugins.

  • I have finally uninstalled Flash Player !

    Hi
    My OS : Widows 7 32bits + all updates
My IE version : 10 + all updates
My Flash Player version : 11.7.700.202
I have finally uninstalled Flash Player because it slows down browsing with IE10 too much.
Each time I install Flash Player : IE10 slows down
Each time I UNinstall Flash Player becomes ligtning fast
I cannot live with that !
I uninstalled Flash Player and I will not look back until there is an adequate solution to this problem.

This morning we resolved a problem that prevented Flash Player installations from completing for some of our Macintosh users.
If you encountered this problem, please delete any previously downloaded Flash Player installer and either:
1.)      Download the installer again from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
    2.)      Download the stand-alone installer from  http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg

  • Possible to uninstall Flash Player for specific browser with Uninstaller program?

    Greetings,
I'm using a domain login script to deploy Flash Player across 400 or so PCs. Currently the script is set up to run the Flash Player Uninstaller executable prior to running the IE Flash Player Installer executable. The problem with this is that the Uninstaller seems to uninstall Flash Player versions regardless of browser type, whereas the installer is always for a particular browser.
Specifically, in our environment our supported browser is IE, but we allow users to run other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome (but they must apply security updates themselves). When we deploy a new login script to install the latest version of Flash Player, the typical user will be unaffected because they use only IE. However, users running Firefox will suddenly be unable to use flash after the Flash Player installer script is run.
So is it possible to use the Flash Player Uninstaller program to uninstall Flash Player for only a specific browser? Alternatively, will Flash Player uninstall cleanly (and the keyword is _cleanly_) if the installer is run without using the Uninstaller program?
Thank you in advance for your reply.

You may get a more official reply from Adobe here.
To the best of my knowledge your observation is correct: the uninstaller tool will always uninstall all installed versions (ActiveX 32-bit, ActiveX 64-bit, plugin 32-bit, plugin 64-bit).
From my experience, the uninstaller from Control Panel will uninstall cleanly - as long as no browser is running during the uninstall.  With cleanly I mean that no files are left behind; I have no knowledge if there are registry entries left behind (with the uninstaller tool, or with the Control Panel uninstaller).
For your specific problem: why don't you always install both the ActiveX and plugin for all users? The plugin is just a single dll that is added to the install folder (two, respectively, on 64-bit systems).

  • Can't uninstall flash player

The operation times out and I get an error code saying it can't be deleted.  The Flash player install pops up almost every 15 minutes.   I can't install an older or newer version either.  I have cleared all cache, attempted to run OnyX and was unsuccessful.  I attempted to delete Flash from library and a block read that the file can't be deleted.  I attempted clear Flash from plug ins and error code 100022 popped up saying that operation can't be completed because of an unexpected error.
HELP is desperately needed.   The Flash Player version is 11.5.502.409.  OS version is 10.7.5.

Try Flash Player uninstaller from Adobe site.
    Unistall Adobe Flash Player

    Quit all applications.

Click Macintosh HD  > Library > Internet plugins
Right click  these two files and select "Move to Trash"
    FlashPlayer.Plugin
    flashplayer.xpt
    Restart.
    Install Flash Player

    Quit Safari.

  • Was it a mistake to uninstall Flash Player from Windows 8?

I have a Lenovo Y580 Laptop with IE10 windows 8.  I was not able to view embedded videos on websites and searched the problem online.  Somewhere I ran in to information about glitches with Flash Player and Windows 8.  I found instructions on how to delete Flash Player files from Windows 8 using a combination of the steps on the websites below.  Now I am able to view embedded videos but I don't understand exactly what I did/whether I will have issues in the future due to deleting Flash.  Now when I type in the search box for Flash Player it shows a Flash Player 32 Bit Flash Settings Manager.  Im confused as to what I deleted and what the cons to this may be as  I am not super computer savvy

    Hi,
Flash Player is integrated with Internet Explorer in Windows 8. It's unnecessary to install or uninstall Flash Player.
Since you have uninstalled, you may want to look at this document for reinstalling Flash Player: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html

  • How do I uninstall Flash Player?

If you encounter problems installing Flash Player, the first thing we usually recommend is uninstalling previous versions.  While on Windows, Flash Player has an entry in the Add/Remove Program control panel, the most sure fire way is to use our stand alone uninstaller.  You can get directions on how to use these here:
    Uninstall Flash Player | Windows

  • How Do I Uninstall Flash Player v. 9.0.124.0?

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.
Secunia PSI shows that I have two versions of Flash Player installed:  11.6.602.171 (NAPI) and 9.0.124.0 (ActiveX).
I have been trying to delete v. 9.0.124.0 because it is an old, unsecure version but have not been successful.  I used the Uninstall Flash Player utility available at:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
and made sure to follow all the instructions shown in paragraph No. 3 of that link.  Then I re-installed v. 11.6.602.171.
As soon as I re-start my laptop, Secunia PSI shows that v. 9.0.124.0 is back.  (It is a file called Flash9t.ocx located in c:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash.  I have also tried to manually delete this file several times but it is re-created the next time I boot up!).
So... how do I get rid of v. 9.0.124.0?

I finally figured out how to solve the problem.
    * I deleted the file (Flash9t.ocx located in c:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash)
    * I performed a clean boot using these instructions:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 and discovered that the program that causes Flash Player 9 ActiveX to be re-created every time that I boot up is
called ASUS Screen Saver Protector (AsScrPro.exe, v. 1.0.0.9), located in c:\Windows\.  Carefully follow the instructions in "How to determine what is causing the problem by clean boot".
    * I downloaded Autoruns (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx) and with that I unchecked the entry "ASUS Screen Saver Protector AsScrPro ASUS c:\windows\asscrpro.exe"
so that it does not automatically load during startup anymore.
    * I ran Secunia PSI and it confirmed that Flash Player 9 ActiveX is gone!

  • Uninstall Flash player.

    Hi guys,
I need to uninstall flash player from windows vista machines. (current number is unknown yet but probably something like 40-50 computers).
I'm using System center configuration manager 2007 R2, and i've searched google for how to use silent uninstall to remove the old flash player, but i couldn't find a command line switch which will be helpful to me.
One thing i have to mention, i downloaded the .exe file that uninstalls flash from the computers, but i don't know the command switches to make it run in the background and no user can stop the flash removal.
If there's a command line switch that can help me remove old flash players (version 8 and 9), i'll be happy to use it.
Hope to hear from you soon,
    Nahum

  • Question about uninstalling flash player

I've recently had a problem with flash player videos and ads stuttering.  Anything that works off flash player always has constant stutters in it on all my browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome) ever since a power outtage that turned off my PC while I was online.  It's been this way for 2 months now.
I'd like to uninstall flash player from my PC and do a clean install to see if that might fix the problem.
Will the uninstaller automatically remove flash player from all browsers?  Will I have to run it with each browser open or does it automatically wipe if off my system?
The main reason why I ask this is because I have to update two of my browsers separately (IE and Firefox).

Yes, the uninstaller will install all installed Flash Player instances; download it from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
Use the 64-bit uninstaller if your Flash Player is installed in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash
Use the 32-bit uninstaller if Flash Player is only installed in C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash

Hello, and welcome to Apple Support!
You will need Flash to watch this video. you can download it HERE once you install it you will be able to view this video. There is no alternative to Flash that I am aware of.
One question: Could you view this video before you attempted to uninstall Flash?
