Shockwave - fixes don't fix so why lock it?

Seems all the topics on Shockwave are locked, and one is marked gaving a dozen things to 'try'.
I have had 3 updates to, FF, updated, uninstalled, updated, renewed FF, Shockwave, Silverlight, installed, uninstalled, safe mode, unsafe-mode (verses safe mode) - it still messes up and hangs.
This has been a problem for two years, and for two years Moz depended on it's users to fix it.
One topic on the matter says that when Moz re-opened the topic found 15,000 hits in a week, would that not suggest that there is a BIG problem with Moz including Sockwave in FF?
I've been a fan of Moz since the first Netscape, and there is really nothing else out there that doesn't take over our computers and try to read our minds (almost - probably not far away).
I tried every fix available, except switch to - uggggg - Chrome and try to hide some of my private life from Googoyle.
But I'm sad to say, I'm on my way,
Won't be back not any a day
My heart is down, my head is turning around
I had to leave for the next best browser in town.

Darn - and Moz FF was the only browser I ever trusted, and would gladly pay for - if it worked.

Sorry your journey of the last 2+ years with Abobe Shockwave Flash on Mozilla has been so bumpy. As phillip already mentioned, my opinion is that the Flash Plugin for Mozilla browsers went to hell when the "protected-mode" was instituted by Adobe.
The good news is that Mozilla is working very diligently on getting rid of the need for a 3rd party plugin for SWF files. That project is code named '''Shumway'''.

I have Mac mini and Macbook Pro 13". Bouth with HD3000. And I can't work at all. With Snow Lepard I had no problems. It's tiny problem in code. And such pain for lots of users!

If you have a problem with Adobe products, voice your issues with them.
It is the software developers responsibility to maintain compatability
with any operating system, beit OSX or Windows.

Apple is constantly working to fix bugs that occur in operating systems and other applications. Lion may have some initial bugs that needs fixing, but rest assured that Apple is working on it. And not everyone is having problems with Lion. I for one, am not.

I've got to agree with Allan. It sounds like the hard drive is corrupt at least. It's possible it might be physically failing. Without backups, it's possible your data is already gone. You need a professional to help you.
If you do not have an Apple Store near you or simply don't have the time to spare, there are some things you can try, but you must understand that it's possible these things could make the chances of recovering your data worse than they already are. Perform the instructions to follow at your own risk!
First, you can try repairing your hard drive with Disk Utility. If that works, see if you can start up the machine. If you can, the very first thing you need to do is back up any data you don't want to lose. You may still need to take other steps, as your system may be damaged as well, but getting the data is the important part.
If Disk Utility cannot repair the problems, you can try DiskWarrior. It can repair problems that Disk Utility cannot. However, it also increases the risk of destroying your data if it fails. If it works and you can start up the machine, do the same as I advised for following success with Disk Utility.
If repairs (with either) were successful, but the machine still won't start up, you can try reinstalling the system. Hold down command-R at startup and then just install right on top of the existing system. If all goes well, you'll be able to start up afterwards and can get your data backed up. If all goes badly, it'll further decrease the chances of getting your data back.
If neither can repair the damage, you're in bad shape. You will need a professional to help you, unless you are willing to lose all your data.

Hi The best option is to do a factory Reset this will get rid of any bugs And set up iPad as new. Just use same Apple ID you will get all your Apps & Data back. Do this over Wifi Cheers Brian

One option is to create a new partition (~30- 50 GB), install the new OS, and ‘test drive’ it. If you like/don’t like it it, you can then remove the partition. Do a backup before you do anything. By doing this, if you don’t like it you won’t have to go though the revert process.

you can only get music to work if
1. it was downloaded on the itunes app in the iphone
2. it was synced from itunes on a computer

Try resetting the SMC and PRAM. If that does not work, it is probably gone.

Double-click the Home button and swipe Task Bar to the right. Check the Rotation Lock on the far left of Task Bar.

Also Fetch will not launch, I get error code: SSL error 9807. These worked perfectly before installing Maverick. Also everything that loads, all programs, take twice as long to load. I have MacKeeper and have cleaned and discarded all the garbage.

Remove "MacKeeper" as follows. First, back up all data.
"MacKeeper" is a scam with only one useful feature: it deletes itself.
Note: These instructions apply to the version of the product that I downloaded and tested in early 2012. I can't be sure that they apply to other versions.
If you have incompletely removed MacKeeper—for example, by dragging the application to the Trash and emptying—then you'll have to reinstall it and start over.
IMPORTANT: "MacKeeper" has what the developer calls an “encryption” feature. In my tests, I didn't try to verify what this feature really does. from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-A. The "MacKeeper" application is in the folder that opens. Quit it if it's running, then drag it to the Trash. ☞ Quit MacKeeper before dragging it to the Trash.

History not registrated anymore, no new entries in date, also upgrade and cacheremoval etc don't fix it

in toolbar last 10entries are registrated, however not in day/week overview.
also upgrade and cache-removal, history removal,cookies removal etc don't fix it.
newest version of firefox, g5mac, 4.11os.
befora a few days no problems at all. ? may be opening account on facebook or other site has caused it , but that's unclear.
how to repair this function without deleting and reinstalling firefox andlosing all settings. is there a prefs thing i can throw away or so ?
