Shockwave Player 12.1.5.155 MSI. Error Message on attempted Install. Error 2753.The File is not marked for installation

When attempting to install this MSI, an error occurs. Error 2753. The file 'swhelper_1213153.exe' is not marked for installation. And the installation fails.

I used a program called "Microsoft Install Cleanup" basically it gives a list of programs (I assume from the registry).
When the program is installed correctly, it shows like this:
Adobe Shockwave Player 12.1 [12.1.4.154]
but if it shows like this:
Adobe Shockwave player 12
then there was something wrong. Also it didn't list it in Programs and Features.
in the MS Install Cleanup, I highlighted it and clicked "remove" Be very careful what you uninstall. this could mess up your computer badly. I'd read up on this program.
Otherwise after I removed "Adobe Shockwave player 12" I was able to install the new software properly.

I am running Windows 7 and I am trying to uninstall Adobe Flash
Player 10 ActiveX yet I can't find it on the list of Add/Remove
Programs. I have cleaned the registry with CCLEANER application. I

We had this same problem recently and the faultbucket link pointed me in the right direction however the registry entries were different for us.
Most of our computers were fine but some had problems with Flash Plugins and some with Activex and some both.
The best way to fix a computer or set of computers is to first uninstall all Flash and then note all remaining Flash entries in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products.
These entries can vary based on what versions got corrupted on your systems.
This ended up being the fix for us for both Flash Plugin and ActiveX version. We tested it and had great success as a .reg file and are now deploying it via GPO.
(We had 4 defunct registry entries for Flash plugin and 3 for Activex)

Found that uninstalling the entire CS5 suite and re-installing solved install error. The problem with not recognizing the LAN scanner was the result of a firewall setting that got changed somwhow.

Can you please share the following info:
-> Which OS and architecture are you on
-> What are the exact steps being followed for installation.
-> Do you have any previous version of Reader already installed on your machine.
Also it would be helpful if you can you share Windows Installer log. Please follow the steps below to create installer log
1. Launch Notepad
2. Copy paste the following text in notepad
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer\]
"Logging"="voicewarmupx"
3. Now press Ctrl+S to save the file.
4. In the "Filename" field type <any_file_name>.reg for e.g. abc.reg
4. In the "Save as type" dropdown, select "All Files"
5. Click Save button to save the file at desired location
6. Go to the location where you saved the file and double click on it.
7. Follow the prompts to create the registry key.
After the registry key is added successfully, please re run the 11.0.07 patch installer. Once you get the error message click ok and then click on finish to close the installer dialog.
Now go to C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Temp and look for file with name similar to MSIxxxxx.log.
Please upload the dump (compress the dump using WinZip or likewise) and share the link here.

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

Hello,
I have been trying for days to figure out this problem with updating Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Whenever I try to update the software, via under help, or click the update icon in the system tray, I then proceed to download the update but get the Error 2753. The File 'Dist_acrotray.exe' is not marked for installation.
I have tried repairing the software through control panel, and I have also reinstalled Acrobat as well. PLEASE HELP!

I am running a 64-Bit, Windows based LR5, Errors read "The file could not be read"

I have been getting higher amounts of RAW (Nikon) files that are unable to be read. I can see the images, it sits in my drives, its viewable in my camera.
BUT it simply will not work with LR5. I cannot edit or export them. These files are due for an assignment, and I am absolutely frustrated.
Opening the files in "Develop" tab takes ages, and I am talking minutes (5-10 mins) and when it does, it goes into this "the file could not be read" SHITuation. Sorry for the spelling error.
What the hell is wrong, and how do I correct it?

I downloaded an album and only half of the songs will load on my IPod, I get and error saying the files could not be converted

Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

Uploading Firmware Ops Sys Adm - Error encountered: The file could not be downloaded

Trying to upload the file using 8.6.2 of the CUCM Ops Sys Admin login. I am using a remote SFTP. I downloaded the firmware from the support section of the web. File: cmterm-7911_7906-sccp.8-5-2.cop.sgn
The Install/upgrade process finds the file then says.. Accessing the upgrade file, please wait
The Error Encounted: file could not be downloaded. a
There must be a log file somewhere. Any ideas?

Well - in that case I would take the easy option :-)
When you download the firmware, download the zip version. It may say 'for CUCM 4.x' or something similar.
Basically unzip it, then upload each of the files in the zip to the TFTP server manually through OS admin and then restart TFTP from serviceability.
Then you can apply it to a test phone and update the device defaults page when you are ready.
That way you can try different versions of firmware without adding lots of non-removable references to cop.sgn files to the system's installed options list.

Error -2048 the file is not a movie file

I am getting the above error when I try to open some movie files (panoramic pictures) that have been sent to me. I have the latest version of quicktime.
Can anyone help tell me what this problem is?

Modern hard drives (properly formatted) don't really have a file size "limit" but older formatting schemes do.
The only issue I can think of is the HD format. Older OS's had used formats that where limited to 2GB. Newer ones moved the limit to 4GB.
According to the NewTek Site:
NewTek does not recommend use of IDE video drives. This includes the new SATA (serial ATA hard drives). Hard drives used for video storage and retrieval should be striped in Windows. Hardware RAID cards push data in burst speeds which are not appropriate for video editing. The sustained speed attained by Ultra 160 and 320 SCSI set up in standard Windows stripe-sets is what is needed for dependable video recording and playback.
Sounds like it needs some serious HD configurations.
I would render shorter files if they still work and a bit friendlier video codecs that would make smaller files. Animation or Photo- JPEG video may be better than DV Stream. Maybe smaller dimensions, too.
