ShockWave Player deployment fails error 0x80091007

Hello,
we are trying to deploy the last version of Adobe ShockWave (12.1.4.154), using an Application in SCCM 2012 R2 CU3.
We have previously done the same with versions 12.1.0.150, 12.1.1.151 and 12.1.3.153 (newer ones supersede the older), and we did never have a problem.
On some workstations (W7SP1x64) the new application fails to install with the following Deployment Status:
Category: "Failed to locate content"
Error Code: 0x80091007
Error Description: "The hash value is not correct."
We are pretty sure that the content on the server is correct; moreover, if we launch manually, on the workstation, the MSI file from e.g. "C:\windows\ccmcache\x", the installation is successful.
The problem happens on some, not all, the workstations, indipendently from the DP from where they get the content. All the workstations have (hopefully...) the same OS and software.
It is noteworthy that the cache dir (in the example, "x"), is the same dir where there was the MSI file of the previous version: SCCM doesn't create a new dir as it does usually, but updates the old dir with the new content. In some cases, deleting/renaming
the "x" dir causes SCCM to download again the MSI file and install it successfully.
Is it, as we guess, a problem caused by the fact that the application, and its previous versions, use a MSI file with the same name ("sw_lic_full_installer.msi"), even if the content source dir is different? On this basis, we are trying to rename
this file ("sw_lic_full_installer_12.1.4.154.msi") and update the DPs, and will post the result as soon as possible.
In the meantime, any insight will be welcome and truly appreciated.
Kind Regards

Hello,
as we guessed, SCCM now has created on the workstation a new cache folder for the new application, and then copied there the new MSI file, which installs correctly. This is the cache content as of now:
C:\Windows\ccmcache\k
06/12/2014  15:39    <DIR>          .
06/12/2014  15:39    <DIR>          ..
12/11/2014  17:15        24.253.952 sw_lic_full_installer.msi
               1 File     24.253.952 byte
C:\Windows\ccmcache\l
06/12/2014  16:35    <DIR>          .
06/12/2014  16:35    <DIR>          ..
12/11/2014  17:15        24.253.952 sw_lic_full_installer_12.1.4.154.msi
               1 File     24.253.952 byte
Problem solved, it seems; but... was it our fault (some bad flag on the App wizard?), or is it a bug in SCCM?
It seems that one can't make and deploy two distinct Applications where the MSI file name is the same... or maybe the problem is that one supersedes the other?
Any clue will be appreciated.
Kind Regards.

    ramji,
I think the following kb How Do I Deploy Network Shared Variables From a Compiled Executable? may provide some help. When building your executable, make sure you include your lvlib that contains yoru shared variable in the "support files" section of the application builder. Also, try including your lvlib in the data directory instead of the actually exe itself. Let us know. thanks!

  • Deployment Failed - Error Codes

    Hi.. Again!!!
I'm deploying an App-V Package to a couple of test machines but on the deployment monitoring I get:

Does anyone know what I can do here? I've created a whole new deployment etc and still no luck, I'm not sure where I can look to be able to see what file it's actually talking about to try and resolve the issue. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks... again!!!

Yes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up.
Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?

  • Shockwave player for WinXP x64

Not a lot of things seem to require Shockwave player except jigsaw puzzles.  For a long time I thought there was a site problem with msnbc.com regarding their jigsaw puzzle page in that there was never a puzzle displayed and no error messages as to why not.  After several emails with their tech support I went to adobe.com and downloaded the latest Shockwave player and installed it.  The result was then an error message about the player.
Turns out the only way I could get the puzzles to work was by going to oldapps.com and downloading an older version of Shockwave player (10.3.0.24).  Now the puzzles display, but regularly I get notifications that a new version of the player is available.  My browser shows that the plugin for Shockwave player needs to be updated as well.  When I go to a site that tests the Shockwave player, it fails with any newer version of the player.
To further add to the problem, some sites that offer jigsaw puzzles apparently test to see if I have the latest version of the Shockwave player and pop-up an error notice.

Since this is a "Discussion" forum, my only question is what don't you understand about "Discussion"?  The post was merely information sharing for XP x64 users of Shockwave Player.

are you sure you want the shockwave player and not the flash player?

Im trying to use rosetta stone online with shockwave player but i keep getting two error messages, the first one i get is, "this application requires an xtra (FLT ear) that either does not exist or failed to load properly. Please make sure the appropriate xtras are in the xtras folder." then when i hit ok the movie player begins to load then the second error message pops up and says, " This shockwave movie has errors that have caused play back problems please contact the author of this content regarding problem, shockwave unable to continue." I have tried uninstalling the slim and full versions of both version 10, and 11 i have no idea what else to do. Im using a new macbook with mac os x version 10.6.3 thanks for any help you can give.

I figured out on my end that it was our Web Filter software blocking rosettastone.com. After adding this to our unblocked list it installed required components and ran successfully right away.

  • Shockwave Player 12.1.5.155 MSI. Error Message on attempted Install. Error 2753.The File is not marked for installation

When attempting to install this MSI, an error occurs. Error 2753. The file 'swhelper_1213153.exe' is not marked for installation. And the installation fails.

I used a program called "Microsoft Install Cleanup"  basically it gives a list of programs (I assume from the registry).
When the program is installed correctly, it shows like this:
    Adobe Shockwave Player 12.1 [12.1.4.154]
but if it shows like this:
    Adobe Shockwave player 12
then there was something wrong.  Also it didn't list it in Programs and Features.
in the MS Install Cleanup, I highlighted it and clicked "remove"  Be very careful what you uninstall. this could mess up your computer badly.  I'd read up on this program.
Otherwise after I removed "Adobe Shockwave player 12" I was able to install the new software properly.

  • How can I get rid of Shockwave Player Error message? I'm not trying to play anything, but it pops up whenever I reset my Safari.

I keep getting a message on my Mac saying:
    Shockwave Player Error
To view the movie, open your browser in the 32-bit mode.
    1) In Safari, select applications/safari in the Finder and click more info
    2) Ensure that Open in 32-bit mode is selected
    3) Re-launch the browser.
I did this, and selected the open in 32-bit mode but it's still giving me this message.
Interestingly, it does this every time I reset my Safari (which I do upon closing Safari), UNLESS I unclick the "Remove all website data" item box - then I don't get this weird shockwave player error message.
I would like to know either how to get rid of the error message (stop it from popping up) or how to download/install shockwave in case I need it.

I am having this issue whenever I go to Safari privacy preferences tab it pops up this same error window repeatedly, over and over, even if I don't acknowledge the first one... it just keeps adding the error window one on top of the other. (a little offset like opening multiple browser windows).
If I switch to a different application it may even keep popping them up keeping them on top all the time.
I navigated to Library/Internet Plug-ins and there was nothing in it.

    Hi There...
    Oracle explains:
    The cause of the problem:
While defining an Exposed Service for your composite you used the option Generate WSDL from schemas and selected elements or types from one of more XML schema (.xsd) files to define the various message parts for input or outputs to the service. One of these message parts was defined by selecting from a schema an element or type that is not associated with an XML namespace.
Therefore at deployment time, if the WSDL file for the exposed service defines a default namespace, all elements must belong to either the default namespace or any namespace explicitly defined for each element or type. Since there is no XML namespace associated with the "no namespace" XML element or type in question there is no namespace prefix that can be used to identify the relevant XML namespace.
    Solution:
    1. Ensure all elements and types use an XML namespace.
Adjust the original XSD so that the offending "no namespace" elements/types are associated with a namespace.
    2. Modify the WSDL for the service to allow No Namespace elements/types to be used
Whilst is is not possible to give a fixed sequence of steps to achieve this, essentially:
ensure the definitions element in the WSDL document does not use an xmlns="xxxx" attribute to set a default namespace
without a default namespace, ensure all other elements in the document that are expected to be associated with the previous default namespace have an explicit
    namespace declaration
