For several weeks now I keep getting a pop up window that says shockwave Player not responding or may be busy.Press stop or continue to see if the plugin will work.Firefox,Win7,bit 64.This seems to happen on just about any website.Why? How do I stop this ?

This issue can be caused by an extension (Menu Editor?) that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Why is the Shockwave player not requesting the root crossdomain.xml

Hi,
I have a Director movie (DCR) that is presented to visitors to my website. The DCR is actually downloaded from a separate Content Delivery Network (CDN).
On startup, the DCR connects to my original website to retrieve some additional information that is presented to the visitor. But because the DCR comes the CDN, when it attempts to access my website a warning dialog appears informing the visitor that the DCR is attempting to access another site and asking them to allow or deny access.
I did some reading of the Adobe docs and found that from version 11.5, the Shockwave player will skip this dialog if the referenced domain includes a cross domain policy file that permits access. The movie can load a specific policy from the target domain, but if it doesn't the docs say that the player will read the default crossdomain.xml from the root of the target network.
So I created and deployed the default crossdomain.xml as described in the documentation and redeployed my application. However, when the DCR started the same dialog appeared warning about the cross domain reference and asking me to allow or deny it.
I thought perhaps there was an error in how I deployed the cross domain file, but when I checked more closely I discovered that Shockwave player never even requested the file from the target server.
Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Am I missing some step that is required to make the player request the default cross domain policy file?

Flash player and shockwave player "not installed"

I recently downloaded the most current shockwave player and
flash player, but when I go to a website that requires the program
it tells me that I need to install the shockwave player/flash
player. I download each again and have even shut down and rebooted
to see if that helps but it doesn't, it keeps telling me that the
shockwave player/flash player is not installed and that I need to
install it again. Can anyone help me find out if there are any
settings that might need to be changed on my computer to let them
run? Customer support was no help what so ever and just told me to
reinstall.

I am having the exact same problem. All are Windows XP SP2
machines. Funny thing is, it seems only to be occurring on a
certain 'block' of newer computers. anything more than about 8-10
months old, and the app runs fine. Brand new machines <1 month
old are fine. I have a number of machines in that 1-8 month-old
range that are exhibiting the problem. I found this

Media player not responding

help please!! i have a blackberry curve and my media player wont play any music, it freezes and when i turn i turn it off and back on again the led light wont stop flashing pink and it comes up woith a message saying Application net_rim_bb_medialibraryplayer(2850) is not responding: process terminated...if anyone can help please reply

I think you can try two things : the soft reboot, and if it does not work, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can't lose data with these two reboots.
Soft reboot :
1) Hit the three following keys at the same time :
- Alt
- Right Shift
- Delete
2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.
Hard reboot :
1) your Blackberry device is on
2) remove the battery and wait for a minute
3) Put the battery back
4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.

Shockwave Player Not Working... PLEASE HELP!

Every single time I try to go into something like a game or
something else that requires the use of shockwave player, a screen
pops up that says somehting like 'you must restart your computer in
order for shockwave installation to be complete.' The thing is, I
have already downloaded and restarted the player. So each time I
get this message, I restart my computer and when I go back to where
I wanted to go, the same message keeps coming up over and over
again, no matter how many times I restart. What is going on here,
and how can I fix it?

Flash Player and Shockwave player Not Recognized

I have Safair running in Rosetta.
Some webisites state I need 7 or above Flash Player and that I don't have Shockwave Player- but I do!
I tested them at the Adobe webiste and it states I have Flash Player 8,0,24,0 and Shockwave l0,1r,11 Successfully installed.

Susiecat, there is a new Flash Player 9.0 plugin beta that runs natively on Intel Macs and probably will be general release soon. The new Shockwave Player 10.1.1r16 plugin still needs to be run with Safari in Rosetta mode but probably will be ported to run natively on Intel-based Macs soon.

Zen Micro - Player Not Responding/Napster To

Dvd player not responding, spits out dvd

My dvd player does not read dvds. It just spits out the dvd. This has only begun after I installed Lion.

The thing may need cleaning, go to your local office supply store and get a CD/DVD cleaning kit.

Why is Adobe Shockwave Player not installing on my mac, but telling me that it can't be installed on my computer and is saying it's not supported on my IOS version OS version?

I have a Macbook Pro and it's Using the latest IOS(Yosemite), but it's not allowing me to install Adobe shockwave. I go through all the steps and when I push install this comes up?

7.3 - minimized player not responding

just upgraded to 7.3, and when i minimize the player (thereby sending it down to the taskbar, showing basic controls) it stops responding. basically the mini-player appears, but won't work. the music continues to play, but i cannot change the song/volume, stop the music, close the program, or even maximize back to the normal-size player window! itunes even disappears from task manager so i can't end the task!
how aggravating! anyone else have this problem, and solve it somehow?

This is very odd. Can you try this:
1. Remove iTunes in Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
2. Choose Run... from the Start Menu.
3. Type cmd and click OK.
A cmd.exe window will appear
4. Drag the iTunesSetup.exe from the Desktop into the cmd.exe window
5. Then type one trailing space
Copy and paste this text into the cmd window:
/l*v C:\log.txt
6. Press Enter on the keyboard.
This will start the iTunes installer with full logging enabled. After the installation is complete, a file named log.txt will be created on your C: drive. Please email me that file. Please include a link to this Discussions thread in your email, so I can keep everything straight.

Mp3 player not respond

I took my mp3 player off the charger, and now it won't respond. It is stuck on the opening screen and it says it is playing a song but there is no sound coming out. I can't get it to scroll through the different screens, and the only way I can get it to turn off is if the battery goes dead, or if I push the reset button, and when either of these happen after it comes back on the same screen appears.

Can you run a disk cleanup from rescue mode?

Zen player not responding/not turning on

My zen just stopped working. it was fully charged and I loaded it with music but when I turned it on later in the day to use while running, it didn't turn on. it won't respond to reset, charging and no computer recognizes it when I plug it in. seems I have a dead zen. I've tried everything I've read on several forums. Any more ideas would be appreciated.
I'm about to give up on my Zen. we've already had to send it in to the factory to be fixed once. these things are not made well.

I have the same problem with my zen stone, they told me in the Technical Support to connect it to PC,then push reset for 0 seconds and charge battery during two hours. It didn't help so in their opinion I should go to the shop I bought it and have it changed for another one. I don't think there is any other solution in your case too
I had MuVo before I bought Zen, the previous one was working perfectly whole three years, I don't know why Zen players are so much worse

Flash Player not responding.

I have downloaded flash player 11 + several times and though install goes Ok I then am asked to upgrade. This I do and all goes well but i'm pushed bak to install flash player 11 + or upgrade.
It's so frustrating. I'm using a 9 month old VAIO VPCEL notebook running Win. 7 64 bit plus MS office etc (nil pirated at all!)
What am I doing wrong do you think? any help appreciated. docusk
