I'm having problems witrh shockwave.It won't play Farmville on Facebook.What can I do?I have google chrome.

Doesn't Farmville use the Flash Player?

You have mute turned on. Mute shuts off system sounds, and some app sounds, but has no effect on normal sounds, such as music. You can turn nute off a couple of differet ways, but the simplest is to go to settings, general, and see if the side switch is set to mute. If so, simply slide the side switch. If it is not set to mute, make it so, then slide the switch.

I have found that rel 7.1 will not play games I normally play that have always run fine on rel. 6.5.4 . Any idea why? Or what I can do to get those games to run on 7.1?

Pogo won't play games java won;t work with firefox

I was playing pogo and it came up to update Java. Did it and now can't play most of the games like canasta. Says java won't work with firefox.....it did before. try for 4 days not and no luck

My PS4 boots up as normal and is allowed a couple minutes start up time.
Everything seems fine and a disc is inserted to play. When play is selected, the games initial backdrop image appears full screen, but it goes no further.
I rebooted after a cool down period and tried again to no avail. I have noticed that the PS4 won't allow me to go into the game overview, recent activities etc. Below the games thumbnail. It won't let me click down past the thumbnail.
I've had the PS4 since UK launch date and I have tried all logical simple fixes (unplug A.C, allow to cool, remove disc and clean etc)
System has updated to latest software a few days ago, but have used it a few times with no issue up to now.
Can anyone help?

We have bought Game of Thrones season 2 but it will not play them for us. All other purchased shows play. When it asks us if we are over 15 years of age we click OK and it just returns to the previous screen. I have checked all of the Parental Controls.

Okay, so I called the Apple Help Line, as we thought, there's a bug in the upgrade of the software. They assure me that their technicians are working on a patch, and it'll be released "soon". Hmm. Just have to wait. If you've bought the show on Apple TV, you won't be able to watch it. If you bought it on another device, you'll be able to use airplay to watch it.

Shockwave won't play linked Director files from server

I created a bunch of director files for the course content of my class. All can be accessed from a contents file. When I created an html contents file on my desktop (in the same folder as the linked director files), the contents pages would open in shockwave in my browser (both Firefox and Safari) and then by clicking on a link other director files would open and play. However, when all these files were place on our server (in the same folder), only the contents pages would open and we get an error message saying the dirctor files cannot be opened. I think this means it sees them, but can't open them.

   sorry if my e-mail was a bit whiney, but I got a bit frustrated,
having tried to use the Adobe website for help and then trying for
help over the phone. Adobe has this nice thing where they will call
you back instead of you sitting on hold, which I used at first, but
you get called back by a machine, not a person, then you subsequently
get a progression of robocalls with nobody on the other end! I
finally just sat and waited and got a person, who seemed
knowledgeable and nice, but couldn't help me without a payment. So, I
would greatly appreciate any help you could provide!
       What I have is this. I constructed a "book" in CD form for my
class. This is based on CDs that Mike Coleman and I published a few
years ago. A picture of the contents page is shown below. Each topic
is in a separate Director file, each with its own casts. We made a
lot of animations, some in Flash and some in Quicktime that appear in
each topic. I redid everything in Director 11.5, changing text
spacing because of the way things get altered when things get played
in Shockwave! When I click on one of these subtopics, the
corresponding Director file opens. I accomplished linkage this by
appending a behavior to the text, "Play Movie X". I then originally
made a projector file of the contents page and distributed the CD to
my class free (textbook prices are getting out of hand). Now I want
to put it on the web, because I'm tired of burning CDs and we're
getting students from other locations taking the course on-line. So
within the folder on my desktop that held all the Director files, I
made a second folder "dswMedia" into which I placed all the
animations. I also linked all the animation casts to the Contents
Director file. I then constructed a Contents.html file and
Contents.dcr file using the Publish commands in Director. When I
click on the Contents.html file within my main folder (the one
holding all the Director files and the dswMedia file) the page opens
nicely in my browser (Firefox) and I can play all the Director movies
by clicking on each topic. All the animations play beautifully.
Great , I thought, I'm in business. I then took the files to our
media guy who put it on the server, in the same form as on my
desktop. If we click on the Contents.html file through the web it
opens. Clicking on a topic does not open that Director Movie. The
error message is not that it can't find the movie, however, but that
it can't open it. Everything works just fine on our media guys
computer, we only have a problem when we attempt to use this stuff
through the web. (Our web guy's computer does not have Director, so
that's not the issue).
      Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Flash and Shockwave Won't Play in Safari 4.0.1

I recently got a MBP. After doing additional software installation, I now find that I cannot play anything at youtube.com. I made sure I had the latest Flash Player version. It's working in Firefox but not in Safari.
When I try to view an article at NYT, I get this:
The page “Op-Ed Columnist - The End of the Beginning - NYTimes.com” has content of MIME type “application/x-shockwave-flash”. Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed.
I do have shockwave installed. How do I fix this?

Okay, but what Terminal command did you attempt to use before? What happens in the new user account when you try Safari there? Do you have any Input Managers installed? Those are located in /Library/InputManagers and Home/Library/InputManagers; if you don't have either of those folders, then you have no Input Managers.
You can also try quitting Safari and going to Home/Library/Preferences and deleting the com.apple.Safari.plist file, then restarting Safari and resetting all your preferences to see if that resolves the problem. But don't do that until after you've had no luck with the things above.

Won't play game on the sub account

My son can play Plants vs Zombies from the master account but not from his sub account, there are no problems with any of the other games he plays. The message is that online acess is unavailable due to parental controls, but there are no parental controls on the sub account ( such as they are). Any Ideas out there?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Newest update won't play games

I updated both itunes and ipod software two days ago and now the games that I downloaded will not play. An error message comes up saying to reinstall the games. I cannot find out how to do this anywhere in itunes and an itunes support email instructed me on "how to sync and ipod." The game played perfectly until this recent update and I already tried to sync the games again.

Headphones won't play game sound.

When seeing the video for how to set up my Turtle Beache's PX22. You were supposed set the "Communication Headphones" as default but it wouldn't let me. I tried in the troubleshooter to set it but it said that it was not fixed. I have noticed
a great loss in sound quality and I bought these headphones for gaming and now they won't work. Anyone help please? I heard that I should uninstall the IDT driver but I don't know if it is safe.

I hate the new version of firefox for yahoo because I can only go back 1 page at a time. It's horrible for the game Farmville on facebook. How can I get my old version back?

I want to be able to click on the back arrow button and scroll down to the page I want to go back to instead of having to hit the button 3 or 4 times to get to where I want to go.

You can revert back to Firefox 3.6 very easily how ever this is not recommend as support will eventually end for Firefox 3.6.
