Shop Again Link
When I click on Shop again Link in $ step shopping, Multiple windows open .
How do I avoid this. Its happening after upgrading from SRM 5.0 to 7.0 ?

This is currently standard. There are guidelines that each floorplan (in this case Shopping Cart) shall start in a new window/session. In combination with the technical restriction that it is not possible to navigate from a window that is being closed at the same time.

Trying to download Audition through my Adobe CC membership; for second day in a row, the "start download" opens a new window but launches nothing. There is a link to try again; it is not linked to any action. Is the download process working?

I am posting this message because I'd like to see if others have had the same problem with their MBP. I bought the computer 2.5 years ago. Since I liked it so much my son bought a MB and my wife an iMac. My MBP worked flawlessly for the first 2 years. However, I have had problems with it the last several months as I have had to take it to Best Buy again for the 2nd time in 3 months. My problem is the computer wont start when I press the on button. The light will go on but nothing on the screen and no sounds of the disk spinning. It has been the same issue each time. The first time Best Buy replaced a controller card. Same thing happened this time. There is no warning of anything wrong.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? The computer is still under the Best But service agreement but is up soon and I will need to renew it. Not sure I want to because of the cost but I have had many problems recently. The computer is between 2.5 and 3 years old, but I have been dissatisfied because of the issues. I have 4 options:
1) renew the service agreement for another 2 years
2)buy a new apple computer - not sure of MBP, iMac or Mac Pro as I do a lot of photography
3)go back to PC
4)let the service agreement lapse and get a new computer the next time there is an issue.
My point is to determine if others have had a similar issue with the MBP not starting as I have stated this is an on going issue. It is frustrating and disappointed as I had assumed Apple had less of these types of issues because of the higher costs.
ThanksIt sounds like there is a power delivery problem of some sort since you're not getting anything. I wonder if there could even be a problem with the power button or power button cable, although you do say that the light goes on. Do you mean the sleep light or some other light? When the upper case is removed, there should be two pads labeled "PWR BTN" on the logic board, which allow the computer to be turned on at the logic board for troubleshooting. BB should be able to see if the computer can be turned on this way. If it can, that might point towards a power button/cable problem.
There could also be a problem with the left I/O board, which is what contains the power port and enables the battery to charge.
Does the Mac boot from an external drive or a disc? Or just not at all? If it boots from an external drive, then possibly there is a problem with the SATA controller.
My Mac is very similar to yours, only it is the 17" version. I have never encountered the type of problem you are having. My guess is that there is some specific problem with yours that BB has so far failed to diagnose and fix. It could be a bad component or board, or it could even be a bad connection somewhere. If they can find the problem and fix it, you should be good to go. I'm inclined to think that whatever is wrong is not a particularly widespread problem with your model MPB since I haven't read of other people with this Mac having this particular problem.
Hopefully BB will be able to definitively diagnose your problem and solve it.

Sadly, even after a repair for Comm. problems, audio problems, I had to send the unit back because they simply are not solved. Specifically when I make a call with 5 bars signal, as soon as I hit send, the bars count down to one or none. I think dialing or talking causes some kind of power drain that affects the antenna reception. Also, sometimes, when I pick up a call, the caller cannot hear me and must call back. Lastly, even after a SIM card replacement, sometimes, when I dial, immediately NO ANSWER is displayed and the call is never connected.
The only thing that seems to work consistently is WIFI access. I hope this repair, or hopefully, a replacement, will perform properly.Sad to hear that you are ahving problems with your 5800XM, but it is very likely to be something that doesn´t happen very often since I have a 580XM myself (and some of my friends do) and we´re not having any kind of prolem with it!

Not able to see Shopping Cart Details
Hi,
We are in process of prototyping SRM 6.0 for Shopping card - Describe requirement scenario. After creation of SC, the lists of all SCs appears at very first page in portal in a WD Pro table form. Upon clicking any of the shopping cart link nothing is getting displayed. Browser shows busy activity of loading but nothing actually happens
Is this a portal configuration issue or any context mapping is missing ? please advise

This could be a protocol issue. Are you using http protocol or 'https'. If you are using the 'http' one, please try with using the 'https' protocol. Also it could be a bussiness package issue. Check if you have imported the right bussiness package.

Links in Hotmail emails don't open in new tab
Someone apparently made changes in about:config settings. I opened my home page MSN and when I clicked on Hotmail link, the Hotmail sign in page opened in a new tab. Previously when I clicked on teh Hotmail link on MSN home page, the sign in page would open in a new window in the same tab. I made a change in about:config and fixed that, though I cannot remember exactly what I did. Sorry for that! Now when I read one of my Hotmail messages, and I click on a link in one of them, the link opens in a window in the same tab. Until last night (after I returned from being out shopping) the link in a Hotmail message would open in a new tab. That's how I'd like it. I'd also like the Hotmail sign in page to open in a new window in the same tab when I click on the Hotmail link on the MSN homepage.
Can anyone tell me what I need to change in about:config to do this?

Flickering pixy-rollover links in IE, fine in FF

How do I stop it flickering in IE because it's doing a round trip
to the server to request a new image even though all I'm doing is

CS5 - Layer links get lost when copying/duplicating to another psd-file
Hello,
Following problem when using Photoshop Extended CS5 12.0.4 on OSX 10.6 described as example situation:
1) You have a psd file with several layers and/or groups.
2) Let's say 1 layer (N1) is linked to another layer(N2) in that file and a further layer (N3) is again linked to another layer (L4). That makes 2 linked layers sets. (N1 and N2; N3 and N4)
3) When copying those linked layers to another existing file (either by using drag and drop, but also if using the duplicate layer/group menu option), all linked layers get linked together as one link, meaning that your previous SETS of linked layers are gone. (all 4 layers are linked together now as one instead of 2 separate sets of 2 interlinked layers.
Note: The only way to partially fix it was to duplicate the group into a new file (using duplicate layer group from menu option as new file), but i require it to be working for copying content from one existing file to another existing file, hence this method is not satisfactory.
4) Does anyone know how this can be fixed, it looks like a PS bug to me?

The sample i have posted is just to explain the priniciple. Usually we work on very complex images with loads of groups and linked content.
Therefore drag each set of links is not really an option in this case, as it would cost quite a bit of time.
Our workaround trick at the moment is to mark the linked layers in colours in the layer palette and relink them after they have been duplicated but again this is not ideal. Thank you for your response, much appreciated.

first of all you need to relate the material number to a specification id. In most cases you need to take a look regarding so called "REAL_SUBs" in EH&S. Therefore material number is part of MARA; link is done via ESTMJ to ESTRH to find the REAL_SUB which is related to the material number.
Now you can have a number of identifiers linked to the REAL_SUB. These are handled in table ESTRi which is related to ESTRH. If you are asking now the quqestion of "component" you will get in "trouble".
Componenst are part of a number of potential data records in a lot of so called value assignments in EH&S. Data could be stored in e.g. property "Standard composition". Now here once again links to futhere objects in EH&S will be found whcih might have a related CAS number etc.
Now it depends on your "exact question" so that the result is different (in the sense of effort etc.).
Therefore proposal from my side: try to find the REAL_SUB and check if a CAS number is available as identifier (need not to be the case but could be).
There are a number of "search possibilities" available in EH&S to perform the query the other way around. that means you specifcy a CAS number and check if a specification id does have this CAS number and then you use the "where used" function to get a list of other EH&S objects.
Clearly you could get a list of CAS numbers (if they are maintained) of components of a REAL_SUB as well.
As things are getting now more complex: start with the identificaiotn of the REAL_SUB or by using simply the CAS number try to find a specifciation id which dopes have assigned this CAS number (here you need to look in ESTRi and the check the relation to ESTRH).

I recently upgraded my n800 to OS2008 and now can't get BBC's Listen Again features to work. When accessing such a site from the BBC and pressing the Listen Again button, the correct site comes up but nothing is playing. The BBC says I need RealPlayer installed so I follow their links to Real.Com and try to download RealPlayer 10 for Linux. When I hit Download RealPlayer, a blank screen pops up and nothing happens.
I also downloaded a version of RealPlayer directly from Real and saved it in the N800's Documents as an .exe file. But then when I try to open it, I get back a message saying "Uanble to recognise file type." When I try opening it with Application Manager, I'm told the "Installation file is corrupted."

Question: what more can i do?
story: Im a new mac owner after using a PC for 15 years because of the rave reviews by other mac owners and the fact that final cut pro is available only on macs. I bought a macbook pro 13" in january and from the time it came out of the box it has had issues. within the first 2 weeks, apple store replaced the ram due to kernal panics. that didnt fix the issue, just remedied it for a few weeks. after becoming fed up with the constant app crashes i took it to an authorized repair shop, they replaced the logic board taking about a week to do it. that didnt fix any of the problems. so it went back in again. they replaced the hard drive. didnt fix the problem. one morning booting up my mac it froze and the hard drive was completely unreadable. so back to the shop again. second hard drive was replaced.
now, im 7 months into owning this macbook pro and regretting every second of it. it has spent more time in the repair shop these last few months than in my own house. apple wont return my calls, the repair shop is scratching their head about what to do next. what am i supposed to do? i bought into the mac culture for its reliability and stability. i cant keep applications open longer than 15 minutes without a crash. apple has been unresponsive, and im tired of driving 30 minutes back and forth to the repair shop every other week.
i even thought that my app problems could be solved with Lion, and now it has only compounded my problems. i cant authenticate my user, ive enabled root user and still nothing. so i cant move application paths or install applications.
this isnt how the mac experience is supposed to be, especially to a first time mac user and former die hard PC guy that holds MCSE & A+ certificates.
if anyone has any suggestions about what to do, greatly appreciated. im over 3,000$ (after software) into this and all i have to show for it is a nice shiny metal computer than is worthless for anything other than a very expensive paperweight.the kernel errors are unrelated to the HD. this is the 3rd HD they have tried, and i still have random kernel panics, in every application, at completely random times. somedays it will work wonderfully, then i boot it up on other days, and nothing works. ive unplugged peripherals, closed all open applications, tried rebooting, cold booting, everything. something is just seriously wrong with this device. and like i said - 3 NEW hard drives, a new logic board, and new ram -- still the same issues.
ive debated buying the applecare now that this machine is nearing its 1 year warranty (january 25th) and im still having the same problems i had when i bought it. i just hate to invest yet another 300+$ into a machine that has never worked right despite apple replacing nearly every part within the device, with a retail cost of over 2300$!
on the upside, my authorized apple repair store has been as helpful as possible throughout all this and is going to call their "connections" at apple tomorrow and see what they can do about replacing the device. even they are shocked and surprised by how many trips ive made to see them for the same problem.
the worst part about this experience is that i never want to buy another apple product again. my family has considered switching entirely to macs (over 40years of PC users in the 4 of us) after reading about all the serious PC users that have switched like the Windows Magazine editor that just made the conversion, but they dont even want to touch an apple after hearing how horrendous my experience has been. as a college student, paying over 3000$ for a nice looking paperweight is beyond atrocious.
but, dorado, you are right, its time i find anyone that will listen to my plight. maybe then something will be done. cant be out of a computer entirely for any longer, 2 months is enough.

Yes, I am not impressed by itunes 9I want my shopping cart back as well.
After upgrading to iTunes 9, I noticed I had items missing from my shopping cart. I've contacted/emailed iTunes Customer Support, which actually confirmed that 92 items that were in my shopping cart are not in my wish list.
A wish list is not the same as a shopping cart, and I like the cart feature better; there was less of a chance to accidentally purchase something you didn't want to buy right then and there.
Overall I have to say that I really don't like the latest version of iTunes. I can't view my entire "wish list" content - there are pages and it isn't as laid out as it was with shopping cart. Actually, that's really how all of iTunes is: more compact, and less spread out (especially with on the home page where you have to scroll through music and movies compared to the previous version where it was in more of a grid, and organized by genre). It doesn't seem to be as user-friendly as the previous version of iTunes, and I too am not liking the blinding white background.
I really don't like the new layout, especially an album view where the songs are actually listed. (On my computer, whenever I click on the "play" icon for a song in the store, it plays and the timeline is shown as normal. Bu when I click the "stop" icon, the "play" icon reappears as though it's been stopped, but the song is still playing in the timeline...Anyone else have this problem?) And of course the one-click buy as the ONLY option is annoying to. Really don't like the drop-down menu to have to put it on a wish list. Every time I double click an album/movie icon I'm afraid I'll accidentally buy it. And I will not buy or add anything to my wish list until I get my missing 92 songs back.
Probably the only thing I actually do like is the layout for an artist, especially because it lists all the songs by that artist which could be really convenient for searches.
But other than that, I'm honestly seriously considering down-grading back to iTunes 8 point whatever. I mostly up-graded in the first place because I thought I'd be able to see movies previews and trailers and what not, I wasn't expecting an iTunes face-lift.
It doesn't really seem worth it, because the layout seems so horrible (yes, I know it's a change and I could get used to it, but I don't want to, the layout is poorly organized and inconvenient). The new version seems sloppy and unorganized (my wish list isn't sorted properly at all) and hastily put together.
I'm sorry, I really don't mean to vent or complain, or come across as some whiny brat. It was just a shock to me how much change this new version brought. These are just my thoughts that I've thought the past few days written and expressed here. I don't mean to be so negative and angry, I was just surprised.
Hopefully it's more respectful than using **** everywhere though...

Using the plsql type xmldom.DOMDocument in a java function
