Shopping for games and apps... sorting them

Is there a way to sort the items in the shop to only view the items available for my phone? I don't have a smart phone. I have a stupid phone, so it's limited.

When logging into the Media Store from My Verizon, the site recognizes the type of phone that you have. Having said that, it may still list applications that are not compatible with your device. The site will alert you of this game or ringtone not being compatible with your device only when you attempt to check out.

Got locked out of iPhone 4 my only option was to upgrade so I got iphone 5s but when I restore from backup that's recent from iCloud I don't get my game data and app data how do I get all my data back for games and apps?

I still have old phone is there a way to bypass 4 digit code my kid created it and locked me out but it's disabled says connect to iTunes but no access to computer just wifi. Thanks so much Meg. Unfortunately, iTunes is the program I use to perform syncing. I don't really have other outside options. It is also the location of the backup I would use to restore my phone, and my only way to reclaim important data. I am concerned that, since the last backup occurred when the "other" bar was only moderately huge (around 29G I think), that a backup would replicate the problem back onto my phone.
My contacts, etc. are all in address book and the calendar app on my Mac. As far as I know, iTunes is the way to get them back, but iTunes is where the problem is.
Any thoughts on this?

Querying for ObjectName and then sorting them

I have an MBeanServer which I query using the method queryNames like this:
QueryExp query = Query.anySubString( attValExp,strValExp);
ObjectName scope= new ObjectName( <something> );
Set<ObjectName> objectNames = mBeanServer.queryNames(scope, query);
The query returns a set of ObjectNames which are, in my case, hiding objects of a type that I have created and which extends DynamicMBean.
I want to sort these objects. The type that I wrote has a method called getId() (returns String).
How can I sort the set that I get from the query?

HT4759 After installing update to new version... All games and apps that were on 6 version now have a cloud with an arrow pointing down next to them.... Upon clicking the cloud a circle rotation appears for a minute then back to the same symbol no change

What does the cloud symbol with arrow pointing down signify? After update to ios7 the majority of games and apps in App Store now have this symbol and upon clicking on a rotating circle appears for a minute ....then gone .... Then back to cloud symbol woth arrow down.... No change?

Thanks for the question. It may be best to restore from a back up from before the update. This will restore your applications, as well as the layout of your home screen (the placement of your icons). To do so, see the following (based on if your backup is with iTunes or iCloud):

If none of your third-party apps are working, but the Apple built-in ones are ok, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted. In terms of re-downloading apps then you can do so as long as they are still available in the store, and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them, then you should be able to re-download them for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
For synced photos, then with the iPad connected to and selected on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, then on the Photos tab on the right-hand side you can control which photos are synced to the iPad : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236 . If you don't want any photos to be synced then try selecting just an empty folder.

no it cannot support the Angry Birds franchise, because simply the hardware is too old and weak. Apart from Nokia Store, Google is your only bet for apps and games, there is nothing else that can be done about this mate.

If you mean to have both simultaneosly set on the same OS session, of course that's not possible. But you can configure them on your profile, and choose them when needed. The following is an excerpt from my .bash_profile

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

My ipad2 doesn't play sound on most games and apps, what did i do?

I have no sound on most games and apps. But I have sound on pandora and a few others. What's going on here?

Here's what happened to me, and how I resolved it. In my settings, (Settings->General), I had "Use the Slide Switch to:" set to the default, "Mute." I had the slide switch in the mute position when I went into settings and changed the control for the slide switch to "Lock Rotation." This caused the slide switch control to change to rotation locking, but it left the volume control in the muted state.
This is where King_Penguin's response comes in: if the slide switch controls rotation locking, you have to use the home button to get to the mute setting. Double-tap the home button to reveal the application switcher bar at the bottom of the iPad. Then swipe from left to right in that bar to reveal the audio controls. The icon on the far left will be of a speaker. If it has a slash through it, audio is muted. Simply tap the icon to toggle it to a non-muted state. Also, you can verify that the volume level itself is not all the way to the lowest setting. The volume slider is on the right side, next to the Music icon.
