Pl explain the Procedure : how to Short Close Sales Order ?

By assigning "Reason for Rejection", you can short close an open order and the status of the sale order would also be changed from "Being Processed" to "Completed". You can of course change the order quantity to delivered quantity. To achieve this,
- Go to TCode MASS,
- Input Object Type "BUS2032",
- Select "Sale Order Item Data",
- Click on "Fields" on top
- Block the field "MASSVBAP-KMPMG" and execute
- Input those open sale orders and execute
- Change the quantity and execute.

In our organisation a contract is created first followed by creating a quotation with reference to the contract.Even though the contract is created no line item is entered.Only Valid To,Valid From anad STP is entered.The management wants us to prevent the user from creating the Quotation if the contract expires.
How to do this .Please help

Closing of sales order

Dear All,
I am closing the sales order by giving the reason for rejection on item level status reason for rejection, after saving the SO will be closed. But if u again go to vao2 and select the reason for rejection as blank the so will be open. Now I want that once you give the reason for rejection the system should close the SO and next time not allow to anyone to modify in vao2. I would like to know how to work out?

Hi,
You can manage this with help of user exit SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE in MV45AFZZ..
In this exit you can write the code as to check field VBAP-ABGRU (Reason for rejection).
This check should only work in case of VA02 only.So you will have to keep this in mind.
If say user has set the reason for rejection once saved the document.After word if he comes back and tries to clear this reason then you check the field VBAP-ABGRU.Initially this field will be set in VBAP table.
In the internal table if you find this as black then you can throw the error.

Function Module or BAPI to update Short text for sales order item(vl02n)

Hi All,
I need to update the Short text for sales order item in vl02n transaction from an internal table with Delivery number and other relevant details .
Does any body know any Function Module or BAPI which can accomplish this purpose .
Or else writing BDC is the only option I have got ? .
Please clarify .

Wrong short text for sales order item

Hi guys,
I have an issue for the short text for sales order item. It is werid that I get the different short text depends on how we enter the material. If we only enter the material #, we get the short text for sales order item from material master data. If we enter the material #, plant and storage location, we get the short text for sales order item from customer material infor record. However, the customer material infor record is only maintained for inter-compnay transaction. System should not pick it for third-party transaction.
I found a code in FV45PFAP_VBAP_FUELLEN:
Bei Primärbedarfen ist MAAPV-ARKTX nicht relevant
    if vbak-vbtyp ne vbtyp_pbed.
      vbap-arktx = maapv-arktx.
    endif.
Kundenmatinfo hat höhere Priorität
    if knmt-postx ne space.

Hi,
Text coming from source (MMR, CMIR etc.) is being "pulled" via the access sequence. Check the Text analysis in your sales order in Tab Texts, at item category level.

Closing open sales order

You can do this. Before doing this may i know why you want close. Generally, we won't do this. This should be done by the SAP system based on the system. if you want to do it only once for missing materials, you do this. Download all the Open Sales Orders into CSV file. Change the Status of the Orders to Closed (for all open orders). Upload data from Flat file. Then system will take it as closed. Consider the subsequent documents values for the sales orders.
this will help you. other wise you need to request from SAP (If all sales orders already closed, that missed in delta request). You can do the Repair full request.

Short supply against sales order

Hi,
Is it possible to get short supply matrial list against the sales order
For EG:
we are the computer manufacturer's
So when ever we will sales order(MTO scenario) we will manufacture the PC and deliver it aganist the sales order.
But some times what happens is mouse is not in a stock but customer is ready to take deliver with mouse also. when ever we will get mouse in stock the will deliver to the customer.
But my requirement is i want know what are the short supplied material against the sales order.

But in real scenario these problems are facing.
This type of problem in the ETO scenario also(Project system).
Because some customer need the delivery immediately.
with out some parts also they can use the finish material
So just i need report against sales order what are the short supplied material

When we close order form with out saving , a pop up shows to save or not, try to check that how closing event is being captured.

       a.     The Sales Order Header details with Navigation. (Radio Button)
       b.     The Sales Order Item details with Navigation. (Radio Button)

      b.     Billing Order Details
3.     Choice should be provided to select the output with the following.

Thats a hell lot of work...
Start with the selection screen and try to keep it as per the functional requirements.
And in case if you are having any problem with designing the selection screen... you post it here.....
Better to proceed with the further code once the selection screen part is over.

What ever items are open in sales order. then please go to item level then go to reason for rejection tabage and mention the reason for rejection and then save.
Then order will be completed...

Mass Closing of Sales Orders

Hi All,
One of our guys has messed up the sales order importing process. We have 3000 orders which have been targetted to an invoice but the delivery has been left behind. He created the delivery in the invoice without linking to the sales order reference.
Therefore, we need to mass close the 3000 orders. It seems docstatus is read only so we can't use DTW.
Anyone know how to do this?

We are not actually using DTW but some other software which uses the API. For our software, we choose the function we are using, such as "Add, Update, Delete" and there were another 2 "close" and "cancel".
So, it's def available via the API somehow. Try just changing the docstatus or canceled field via DTW.

Closing a Sales order

Dear All,
I am trying to all close an open sales order, for which a number of deliveries has happened and I'm left with balance stock in hand.
Now that I want to generate a sales order but would like to deliver from the remaining balance, how do i close the previous order.
This is in the case of Make to Order scenerio.
Pls suggest !

Dear Indrajit,
If all the units in your sales orders are already delivered, then you dont need to do anything. You cannot create another delivery for this.
If your objective is to deliver the stock in hand and your sales order is not completely delivered(say order is for 100units but you have delivered only 80 so far) you can do delivery with reference to this sales order for the remaining quantity(20 in this case). Now the sales order will become completely delivered, and you can no more create a delivery for this. i.e. You dont need to create another sales order for creating the delivery.
If your objective is to just close this sales order, you can put a reason for rejection at the item level and close the sales order.

It looks to me was database inconsistency however you said it didn't show any result .
Since sales order donot post journal entry ,you can do it
1>> Go to particular sales order
2>> in menubar ,go to data >> close
(considering the this sales order was supposed to be close ,but somehow it is open)
it will ask you to do you want to close and yes .
And also ,if you are SAP 2007 A patch 35, please upgrade as i have seen a lot of thread regarding this particular patch (Not mandatory just suggestion)
Before you do this , I would suggest you to back up the file and test it in your test environment .
If all of this didn't resolve ,I would suggest you to log to sap for support .

Closing Sales Order through DTW

I want to close Sales Order using DTW, because the are a lot of open sales orders and is to much work to do it manually. I would do a query to the SBO DB to get the fields into the template. What fields would be needed to do it???

U can do this in two ways, if subsequent documents r not generated
1) By maintaining reason for rejection u can reject the sales order
2) just u remove the line items in the sales order ans save ,
