Short pick in a warehouse against a salesorder
Hi WM Experts,
Just wanted to know your opinion for a practical situation.
When a short pick is experienced by the warehouse opeartor during picking for a delivery against a Sales order, does the operator in normal situation have the authority to choose a substitute product for the missing item which triggers a change in the sales order.
Thanks,
Mono
No.
I don't think that's possible.

Config Steps for Pick process from warehouse number
Dear Gurus,
Need the config. steps for picking process with warehouse number assignments
ThanksHi,
You only need to assign a Warehouse number for the combination of Plant and Storage location in SPRO in assignment of organisational structures in Warehouse Mngt. If this is done, then picking will become mandatory and you can do picking either manually or automatically through LT03 or other transactions.
If this warehouse assignment is not done, then you can put the picking quantity directly in delivery and do PGI. If this assignment is done, then you will be able to do picking only through transactions like LT03, either in foreground or background. In this case, u will not be able to manually update the picking quantity in delivery.
Hope this helps. -

Short pick automatic WT creation issue using Wave process
Hi Experts,
If we make direct pick for short pick quantity for product with multiple bins, system is creating two WTs successfully.
i.e. one for actual quantity and second WT for remaining quantity.
But, when we make above process using wave process, system is not creating automatic WT for remaining quantity.
Could you please help me on this issue? Little urgent to me.
Thank you in advance.Hi Experts, Any thoughts on this below issue?
If we make direct pick with short pick quantity for multiple line items in ODO, system is creating two WTs successfully. i.e. one for actual quantity and second WT for remaining quantity.
But, when we make above process using wave process, system is not creating automatic WT for remaining quantity?
Anything issue with Exception code? Can you please help me on this?
Thank you ...

Hi All,
can u guys suggest on mention scenario>>>
1.In case of open picking, customers comes to warehouse.
2.Manual Picking is done by the customer(No pick list would be generated in the system for the same)
3.Outbound delivery to the customer is done
4.Invoice is generated in the system for the customer without any reference document in the system
Regards
sunilHi,
Do you want to integrate this scenario in an existing SAP environment?
If yes, is WM involved? Or is it IM managed? Are these customers one-time customers? Which other scenario's are involved?
There is a standard sales order type for counter sales. HOwever, in this case a sales order is involved. You can also create deliveries without reference to sales orders. And in case you use deliveries, why not bill against them instead of without reference?
I even think that that is legally not allowed, but not sure about that.

Picking Statistics in Warehouse Managed
Hi all
I have a Distribution Centre recently migrated to SAP from a system which was implemented 20 years ago. We are running the pick function through LRF1 to monitor which gives a general overview of what is going on.
Is there any way to get a view by user as to what they have done that day?
Ideally it would be a report which you could run between a specific time period and see all active users at that time and what they did, For example:
user 1
8 am Logged in at
8:05am visited pick location A1
8:20am visited pick location F4
8:30am logged off
I have seen warehouse management systems which have reports along these lines but cant remember seeing anything within SAP.
Also fist post so sorry if this is in the wrong placeClosing the question raised some years back . Movement of stock from quality to unrestricted is transfer posting . The question asked is not correct .
Cheers

Need help on IDoc for Picking, Packing and PGI against the Sale order
Hi All,
I am new to this IDoc stuffs. Below is the scenario for which I would like to know the details of the IDoc...
Business Case:
1. Storage location is a HU Managed but not WM managed.
2. This storage locations is managed by a third party
3. Outbound delivery document against the SO will be created by our personnels in SAP for this storage location.
4. Picking, Packing and PGI needs to happen/post via Idoc. (By packing here, i refer to assign the HUs that are already created for the materials and is available in the storage location and not repacking)
Is there any standard IDoc that can be used here to Pick, Pack and post PGI. We would like to have picking and packing in a first idoc and PGI on the second idoc.
Thanks,
PrashantHi Typewriter,
Thanks for your reply on this post..
The business process is as below (it was changed recently to have the creation of OBD, pick HUS and then post GI via single IDOC)
1. We have a storage loc in our enterprise structure that is HU managed but not WM managed.
2. This storage loc is being maintained by a third party.
3. SO will be created to be shipped out of this plant/sloc.
3. The stocks at this storage loc will be Special stock "E" against the sales order. And the stocks will be Packed in HUs.
4. The third party is informed to deliver the stocks (HUs - that do have the special stock number which internally refers to the the SO number and the line item number) directly to ship to party address in SO.
5. The 3rd party will physically ship the HUs to customer and send in the details that they have shipped goods against the sales order.
6. The details sent by the 3rd party will be received in SAP to create OBD for the sales order, Pick, Pack and post GI. This can happen via a single IDOC..
I am now planning to create a custom IDOC type referring to the standard IDOC type DELVRY03 and message type DESADV and to use a custom BAPI/FM.
Do you think I am using the right ones?
Thanks,
Prashant Kumar -
Printing Picking List in Warehouse Mangaement
Hi All,
I want to print the picking and want to ensure folowing . Each page of the Print should have only.
1. Same storage type, same storage section and same destination storage bin
How can i configure it , kindly advice.
Thanks ,
TausifYou need to create a development with the help of your ABAPper wherein your transfer order is splitted on the basis of the combination of your storage type, storage section, and storage bin...
So, that your T.O gets splitted accordingly and then you can take there prints separately......

WM BIN to BIN transfer order and picking list
Hi Guys
I have a scenario where I need to print BIN to BIN transfers details
After completing the transfer to destination BIN Ineed to print
Which Interim storage type(Like 9 sereis 901----999) I need to link print code and printer
what config settings required for this
and also another similar scenario
Picking list from warehouse against the sales order
which interim storage type we need to link the printer
we have already satnadalone storage types availble(100,120,1....)
Kindly suggest a solution ,thanks in advanceDear Friend,
Print determination is WM is done in transaction OMLV. Major steps include
1. Define spool request.--> Here you define spools and how it should be configured like new spool request, delete after spool out put.
2.Definition of Print code--> Here you assign form to each print code
3. Assign Print code to movement type--> For each mvt type assign print code. In automatic determination of printer, system checks whether any print code is assigned to each mvt type in a warehouse.
4.Assign Printer to Warehouse--> Once form and other information is determined in above steps, system checks for printer for a warehouse in this configuration. If no printer is assigned, then it will proceed to next step that is step 5 here below
5.Assign printer to picking area--> Assignment of printer to picking area.If this paramter is not maintained then it will go to next step. That is step 6 here
6.Assign printer to Storage type--> It will fetch printer if nothing is mentioned in step 4 & 5 above.
7.Print Report--> Assign print program to ware house. This the last step in config.
I hope this helps. -

Picking text types against a SD dcoument
HI
My requirement is that we need to pick text maintained to a particular sales document number in the o/p
I am not able to get the link as to how to find particular text against a SD document number
Can anyone please suggest a method to link the SD document number (SO/Delivery/Billing) so as to pick the text maintained against the particular transaction
Thanks and Regards
Sunil SrinivasanDear Sunil Srinivasan,
Use the Function Module Tx: SE37:READ_TEXT to pick the text from the sales document
Eg: if you are trying to pick the text from Sales document header,
Then go to function module , here in selection screen,
Client:
Text ID: ( which you will find in sales document header -select detail icon, you will find the text ID)
Language:
Text Name: Sales document no
Object: VBBK
text will be appeared in "results" , print this to output form.

1.2 Lean WM Basic Settings
1.2.1 Defining Defining ControlControl Parameters and Number Ranges for the Warehouse Number Parameters for the Warehouse Number
Use
A warehouse number is an organizational unit in Logistics, which organizes the company from the perspective of Warehouse Management.
In the Warehouse Management System, you can define a variety of control parameters at warehouse number level.
Procedure
1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
 Picking  Shipping  Logistic Execution IMG Menu IMG Define control parameters and number ranges for the warehouse numberLean WM Define control parameters and number ranges for warehouse no.(double click)

1.2.2 Defining Storage Type
Use
A warehouse number is subdivided into a variety of storage types. A storage type is defined by its physical or organizational features (for example, high rack storage area, bulk storage, and goods receipt areas).
A storage type has a short description rather than an address.
Before you can implement Lean WM, you must configure the following settings:
1. Assign a (newly defined) storage location to a warehouse number.(This step is defined by step 3.12 Control Plant / Storage Location / Warehouse Number Assignment
2. You should set up at least three storage types:
a storage type (that will be used as a source storage type) with one or several fixed storage bins
a goods issue area (as destination storage type) for deliveries
an interim storage area for differences
Procedure
1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

1.2.7 Defining Movement Types
Use
The SAP R/3 System uses movement type to process movements in Inventory Management (for example, goods receipt for a purchase order or goods issue to a cost center). When the system recognizes a movement as being relevant for Warehouse Management, it assigns this movement to a WM movement type by means of a table.
The movement type for the Warehouse Management System provides the information required for stock removals or picking:

1.3 Print Control for Warehouse
Use
Print control defines the following:
Which slips are to be printed for the movements (that is, for the transfer orders) within the Warehouse Management System
How these slips are to be printed (that is, which forms are to be used, how many copies are to be printed)
On which printer a slip is to be printed automatically
And print control manages the print operations of the warehouse. This flexibility involves a certain degree of complexity with regard to the parameterization.
Procedure
1. Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu IMG Define Print Lean WM  Picking  Shipping Logistic Execution control
Transaction Code OMLV
2. Choose the following button and check the contents

1.4 Manual Activity
1.4.1 Maintaining Number Range Intervals for Transfer Order
Use
Maintain number range intervals for transfer order
Procedure
In this step, you define that, the Number range for Transfer order as 01 and Group number as 01, now you should tell the system how the number range would like for 01 as transfer order and 01 for the group number, for both number range, you may define you own number range, the following information just for reference:
Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
 Logistic Execution IMG Menu IMG Define control parameters and number ranges for Lean WM  Picking Shipping Maintain number range intervals for transfer ordersthe warehouse number (double click)
Transaction Code LN02
Check if the internal number range 01 (0000000001-1000000000) has been defined
Once you have defined your number ranges, it is extremely difficult to change them afterwards when the objects concerned are filled with data.
Bear in mind that you will be entering data on a long-term basis. Create your number range intervals accordingly.
1.4.2 Maintaining Number Range Intervals for Reference Numbers
Use
Reference number range has the following meanings:
This number identifies a number range to be used for the assignment of sequential numbers for WM reference numbers. Reference numbers are used to create or print a group of transfer orders at one time.
A sequential number generated by the system for the purpose of multiple processing of transfer requirements and delivery notes.
The reference number can also be used to print the resulting transfer orders at a later time.
Procedure
In this step, you define that, the Number range for Transfer order as 01 and Group number as 01, now you should tell the system how the number range would like for 01 as transfer order and 01 for the group number, for both number range, you may define you own number range, the following information just for reference:
Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
IMG Menu IMG Define control parameters Lean WM  Picking  Shipping Logistic Execution Maintain number range intervals forand number ranges for the warehouse number Reference Numbers( double click)
Transaction Code LN06
Check if the internal number range 01 (5000000000 - 5999999999) has been defined
Once you have defined your number ranges, it is extremely difficult to change them afterwards when the objects concerned are filled with data.
Bear in mind that you will be entering data on a long-term basis. Create your number range intervals accordingly.

Hello,
We have built an outbound picking request interface in which we send idocs from outbound delivery. The idocs are converted in middleware into EDI files and sent to third party warehouse for picking.
If our outbound delivery has 100 litres, we convert it into 5 Case ( as per alt uom in material master, 20 litres=1 case ) and send 5 qty in LFIMG field but litres in VRKME field in E1EDL24 segment.
We have batch no in the delivery but we do not send batch number to third party warehouse. MY questions are :
1) When in inbound picking idoc, if we receive a different batch number than what was in the outbound delivery, will our inbound pick idoc fails. ( or do we need to have the batch no and stock qty(inbound idoc ) also to be exisitng in sap at least if not in outbound delivery ) ?
2) How do we handle delivery split in our inbound pick idoc from warehouse. For instance we send 5 qty of stock information to warehouse and in return they send five batch numbers with 1 qty each... so how do we handle this since in our outbound delivery, there is only one line item of 20 qty ?
In which segment such batch split information arrives in inbound pick idoc and which fields and how does the system knows that it needs to do picking against one line item in outbound delivery ?
Also do we need to do any configuration in sap for receiving batch split qty's in inbound idoc ? if yes, then what config is required ?
3) Since we send converted qty (20 litres in sap converted to 5 ) to warehouse and the warehouse sends the same qty of 5 back to us. we need to re-convert the same 5 qty back into 20 ( by looking at alt UOM in material master ). I need to know how can we achieve the same and in which function module and which fields/tables does this needs to pass ?
4) what is HIPOS field ?
5) How do middle ware handles the batch split from warehouse. Do they need to make separate E1EDL24 segments for inbound batch split qty's. If yes, then how do all the inbound idoc E1EDL24 segments sum up the qty to be able to post picking against one line item in outbound delivery.
would request pointwise answers.
regards
PamelaHi,
Try using the FM WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE...Also for inbound delivery do we require Picking??
Ok..Check this sample code for doing PGI..
PARAMETERS: p_vbeln LIKE likp-vbeln.
DATA: vbkok_wa TYPE vbkok.
vbkok_wa-vbeln_vl = p_vbeln.
vbkok_wa-wabuc = 'X'.
DATA: v_error.
CALL FUNCTION 'WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE'
EXPORTING
vbkok_wa = vbkok_wa
delivery = p_vbeln
IMPORTING
ef_error_in_goods_issue_0 = v_error.
COMMIT WORK.
Thanks,

Print Delivery Pick list.
Hello,
As per my business process, I would like to print delivery pick list by transaction VL70. We did created new output type YM00 same as EK00, and assigned YM00 to form (New pick list program).
As of now, we do not have TO created. We just have open Delivery ready for picking. Now i do want to print delivery pick list, so based on Pick list i can start my picking and create a TO, with reference to what i have picked.
Issue - I do not know configuration setup from WM side. What needs to be configured and how to print pick list. I do want my pick list to be printed at storage type level.
I have done setup with NACE in past, But i guess as of now we can not do setup in NACE dues to SAP upgrade. (As i was told)
Can any one help me?
Smit.Hi Smit
if you want setting for EK00 then please follow the below mentioned steps
However looking at your thread it seems you want a picklist which should have the storage type / storage bin detail from where you can pick the stock.if my understanding is correct then you have to create Transfer order against the deliver and look to print the Transfer order detail using T-code LT31
Necessary configuration detail for the same is under node
T-Code : LT31, enter the warehouse, TO number , Print code, Printer and Put a check mark on TO document and press Print button from menu bar (Transfer order option) this will give you the detail of Transfer order (storage type , bin material qty based on which you can do the physical picking from the warehouse) if standard SAP form is not meeting your requirement you can always look for custom form and assign to the above print code
