When I'm in Yahoo news comments, WaterFox keeps interrupting me with a survey about FireFox. Then I can't get back to where I was. Help?

Actually, I'm using WaterFox 28.0, but that wasn't an option.
I try to access my comments to Yahoo news stories. I may be in the middle of posting a comment, or just running through them to see how people have responded. WaterFox suddenly interrupts me with a survey about FireFox. It interrupts what I'm doing, and afterward the only way back to the place where I was is to start at the top of the comments again and search for it. If I was posting, either my post is lost entirely, or it posted in incomplete form.
I've tried answering the survey in the hopes that it will go away, but it keeps showing up. It's exceedingly annoying, and, much as I love WaterFox I'm considering going with Chrome or Torch instead.
I have WaterFox set to block pop-ups, but apparently WaterFox doesn't think that applies to itself.
Does ANYONE know how to make this go away?

You have a bad extension loaded into Firefox.

Remove this by going to [[Image:new fx menu]] > Add-ons > Extensions
Uninstall anything you don't recognize from your control panel. (Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a Program
You will also want to run ADW Cleaner to remove any remnants of the extension

HT4623 The software update option is not on my phone. It just goes from "about" to "usage". I have an iPhone 3G. Every time I try to update it on iTunes, nothing changes. I have version 4.2.1, no matter what I do. Any suggestions?

I have an iPhone 3G, and cannot update my iOS. In the General tab, "Upadate Software" is not even there. It just goes from "About" to "Usage". When I try to update on iTunes, it always remains the same. iOS 4.2.1. Any suggestions? (My PC uses Windows XP). Also, my WiFi has completely quit working. Works fine on the other iPhones in the house, as well as the XBox 360, so I am sure it's my phone. I tried everything I could think of, including restoring the iphone to factory settings & then updating, but no luck. Thank you! for any help you can give! I plan to get an iPhone 5, but wasn't ready to do it quite yet. Hopefully my phone can be rescued until I'm ready.

That is the highest you will be able to go with 3g. You need 3gs or 4 to go any higher (multi processors and more memory needed). Version 4.2.1 marks the end of your updates for that device.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. For the iPad Mini the iOS is 6.0.2. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

Short question about the nano controls

Hi. I'm probably going to buy a 4Gb nano today, but first I'd like to ask a short question about the << >> buttons on the click wheel.
I read in a forum that the << & >> buttons are actually 'skip' buttons (only used to play the previous or next song respectively), and that it's impossible to rewind or fast-forward within the track you're listening to. This is extremely important for me as I have several 2-3 hours mp3, and I need to be able to access different parts of the file quickly (eg. not having to actually wait 1 hour to listen to my favorite part). I found this to be an important feature, and I can't believe Apple hasn't thought about it.
Anyway, I've never used an iPod, that's why this question may sound plain stupid.

The iPod fast charges to about 80% and then trickle charges the rest of the way to prevent damaging the battery/iPod. A full charge takes more than an hour or two though the battery indicator will show full. The best way to tell if a full charge has occurred is to unmount the iPod from the computer but keep it connected. The screen will show an animation of a battery. When the animation stops the battery is fully charged.
Also, as your battery discharges the indicator will eventually show red indicating the battery is about to run out...in an hour or two. After you've owned your iPod for a couple months you'll figure out how much time you have left when the indicator turns red - it depends on a number of factors including play volume, equalizer use, etc. In real world use I'm getting over 11 hours.
The headphones are...average. If they didn't hurt my ears I'd find them acceptable for my pop music but not so acceptable for acoustic and symphonic nor music with booming bass - because they don't boom the bass.
I encode the majority of my music at 256 AAC and I've noticed no distortion caused by the EQ. This, plus your complaint about the earphones, leads me to think perhaps you got a bum set of phones. Borrow a pair from someone else and see what happens.

Bl00dy "Short Survey" popup

The short survey popup is infuriating me.
Every time I return to the list of posts within one of the sections, the d*mned thing covers half my screen again. I already have it open on screen ready to fill in, but is it intelligent enough to spot that? Nope. If I say no, it pops up again next time I navigate.
Please can you stop the thing, it is a pain in the R's

As the op has said, this "short survey" can be a problem. I use IE 11 and manually clear internet history and cookies etc each time I exit. IE 11 should keep cookies from favourite websites, but unfortunately ecustomer opinions is not one of my favourite websites. You can block the survey by going to (IE 11) > tools > internet options > security > restricted websites > (enter name of the restricted website).
It's a sledgehammer approach but it works, but it also blocks that survey for all other sites. (However there is a section in the BT Communities named "Guidance and Ideas. Isn't that sufficient in itself?)
It's unfortunate for those of us who need to view in larger text, as it's difficult to close the survey panel, which is just larger than the viewable screen.
It will be interesting to see StaurtH's conclusions.

this one use my free space and make getting lower and lower
in other commets after sync these are deleted

In order to update from an IOS earlier than 5.0, you have to hook it up to the computer you sync with to do so.
Once you have updated, you will see the software update option on your settings. But this feature was not introduced until 5.0...

Settings General About Diagnostics & Usage Diagnostic and Usage data

Settings > General > About > Diagnostics & Usage > Diagnostic & usage Data.
Everytime I look Diagnostic & usage data I see full of crash reports such as Log-aggregate, LowMemory, assistivetouchd and etc... This crashes/crash report should be the reason why my ipod touch 4th gen is slow, sometimes hangs for a second and sometimes crash apps. I already tried to reduce the memory usage to 50% and momentarily double click home button to remove the applications running at the back but still crash reports are adding and reach about 100 and still increasing! Please help me to solve this problem. Maybe give me a tip on how to avoid, minimize or remove this crashes / crash reports on my ipod touch. thank you.
