Short way to generate a DVD, saving a Qucktime-movie

I have converted a VHS video cassette to a file with .dv extension. Unhappy there where two movies on the tape, so I had to open the .dv with QT (I thought to have to open it....), and copied both parts into new players and saved it as movie.
This lasts for a long time, and the resulting files are in size both longer than the former result of converting...
Is there a better way to divide a file into parts?

Have you tried editing the .dv file using iMovie? Cut out what you don't want and send the file to iDVD.

I am working on a 10.2 system and looking to see if there is a better way to generate the resulting XML than what I have come up with. Here is a test case and the output it generates. I don't really like querying the table for each column needed as the real table has eight columns I am pulling. I would like to make one pass on person_h and get the info needed instead of making eight passes, but not sure if it is possible.

I have considered using a WITH statement to do the initial query on person_h but haven't tested that yet to see what Oracle really will do as just getting back around to this lower priority task of mine.

I'm using the WITH statement to simulate a table and DUAL/UNION ALL to create data in that "table". I've seen it used plenty of times in this forum so not sure why a problem for this example. The actual SQL/XML statement hits that "base table" three times, so I didn't include all eight columns because three columns is sufficient to show the problem in the way I coded the SQL. Following the SQL is the sample OUTPUT that SQL statement generates and that is the output I created and need. I'm just looking for other options to achieve the listed output.

Apple does not transfer content bought with one Apple ID to another Apple ID. Apple will not merge two Apple IDs.
If most of your content was bought with the Yahoo! Apple ID but you now want the Gmail address for your Apple ID, the trick will be to change the address used for the Yahoo ID with the Gmail address. However, to do that you must first free the Gmail address from that other Apple ID. Use the instructions from Apple to substitute another address that is not used as an Apple ID for your Gmail address in the Apple ID with the Gmail address. Then, when the Gmail address is no longer used in an Apple ID, you can use the same instructions to substitute the Gmail address for the Yahoo address in the Apple ID with the Yahoo address.

DVD's are only 640 x 480 (interlaced), so yes, the quality is not nearly as good. You should probably create your .mov in DV format to best match the DVD format

Oracle9iDS itself doesn't support creating Gantt charts. The option oyu have is to use Oracle Graphics 6i, because there is no Graphics in 9i, and configure it to run with Oracle9i Forms. There exist a whitepaper at otn.oracle.com/products/forms that explains how to make Graphics 6i work with Forms 9i.

I inserted a new DVD in my mac book pro, its working and the drive is reading the dvd but unfortunately is not coming out. I have tried several ways mentioned on all over the net and apple community websites but nothing has worked so far.
I need a easier and manual way to eject the DVD. Where is apple's help?
Please help me. This is one of the weaknesses Apple should work on because it is causing us pain and loss of efficiency which is not apple's quality.

Thanks for asking, actually I just found a trick on a website.
It siad that restart MBP while holding eject button, I did it and DVD came out right away.
I hope that this works out for everyone.
But still there is a need for a manual eject system so that people don't worry about stucking the DVD or CD in th drive.

I am using iMovie 06 (Naturally) with iDVD 08. I have always used;
iMovie 06, File > Share to iDVD 08. And got pretty good results.
Some say the best way is to quit iMovie 06, open iDVD and import the movie from the Media button.
I have tried both methods in the results look the same. I'm interested in getting the very best quality possible.

You likely have one of the most expensive media converter boxes on the market today.
But does it work well with most macs? (my guess is that it does). But more specifically can it "handshake" with an intel based mac? I personally haven't tried it.

You have to designer a summary page where you indicate what fields appear there and update their values based on the fields in the main part of the form.

Best way to burn a DVD+R DL disc?

I was wondering what everyone thought was the best way to burn a DVD+R DL disc.
This is how i do it and let me know if you have better results doing it a different way.
1. Never burn from DVD SP, always use Toast instead.
2. Select All Regions (including #7) in DVD SP
3. Build/Format, then select Harddrive, .img file
4. Use Toast and select Copy, then Image File.
1. I never burn in DVD SP because it uses the fastest write speed that your disc/burner does and this seems to have issues.
2&3. I always select All Region because DVD SP by default doesn't select #7 (no clue to why that is) and if you got to harddrive using .img, then that is CMF format and CMF needs all region (RCM Value of 0). Otherwise DVD SP will have different region codes in the MAIN.DAT vs. the CONTROL.DAT. 0 and possibly 64 or 40.
4. With Toast you can set the write speed. I just use 2X and this takes 40 minutes or so for a full DVD+R DL disc.
But..
Is this the best way?
Or is the DVD-ROM (UDF) option a better way?
Any suggestions?

Not that this really helps you solve the dvdsp thing but if they are regular clients maybe buy a cheap(ish) dvd player that plays your discs fine and send them it. Explain the ±DL issues. Say the authoring is fine but the ±DL media thing is a mine field so here is a player so proofing goes smoother in the future.
If Toast is working better then send a media input form with the proof stating where the LB will be on the master etc.
I'd like to hear anything anyone else has to say but I'm sure we're aware of most of the options already.
FWIW, if you're running 10.4.x you can type drutil info in Terminal and hit enter to see what types of media the attached drives can burn,

Boot with the option key down. You will see a window showing all the bootable systems. Select the OSX boot and hit return. Once you are booted into OSX, use the Startup Disk system preferences to change your default boot volume.

After I've generated a DVD the video is inversed

I've made all the footage and previewed it and all was ok. After I've generated the DVD, when I took a look of the final render, the video plays upside down. If I take a look to the project again, It showing me the video upside down too... I've made a second try and the same thing happens. Why it turns my video and puts it upside down?

) but I think I've read that as being one symptom of having a DivX codec even INSTALLED on a computer
