Shortage memeo

Hi All,
Is there any T Code or provision is there in SAP where in we can create shortage memo for excess or shortage of material sent by vendor (which is to be send to vendor as shortage memo or note).

Hi,
There is not any direct option available in SAP. But you can enter Quantity in UoE (Physical Quantity Received) and Delivery Note Quantity (As per Vendor Challan) during GR in "Quantity" Tab of MIGO.
You can generate a list of the GR Documents from Report MB51 for the difference and send it to Vendor.
Else you can print the GR Document in MB90. For this you need to configure Message Determination of Material Documents. And also if required take help of ABAPer to develop the format of Shortage Memo.

Hi,
Use tcodes CO24. First you need to activate that report PPCOXPR1 in SE38 enter report name and execute
In COOIS select list components you can be requirement qty and withdrawn qty , here you can find out open work orders also

Report for materials with shortage (GATP)

Hi,
We are using GATP for the cofirmation process. If you go to the CO09 transaction in the SAP-ERP system, it will take you to an APO screen. There are 2 fields (Receipts and Confirm quantities) on this screen; when Confirm quantities is greater than Receipts it shows that the material has a shortage.
Is there any report in APO that shows me the materials with shortage (Confirm quantities greater than Receipts)?

Such info requirements are usually handled with the Alert monitor.
/SAPAPO/AMON_SETTING, create an alert type ATP, Availability check shortage.

Stock shortage and DO

When making a DO (delivery order), the delivery quantity and the open item fields remain equal even if the stock is lower than the requested number of material.

In that image, I have 20,000 on both deliv qty and open qty.
But the available stock is just 15,000 so it means the "deliv qty" should be 15,000 and the open qty should be 5,000.
The warning about the stock level (usually appears at the very bottom of the page) did not come up.
Another problem is that, I was able to save the DO with no warning at all even if there is shortage of stock.
How can I resolve this? Please help.

Report on production order status and shortage report

I want to know standard report on production order status and shortage report. Kindly suggest.

COOIS - Production order information system . In this report you can give system status in selection screen and in report you can get complete status details (both system and user status) .

Material shortage ( soft or hard error ) while releasing production order?

Hi Guys
I am a SAP tech guy wrote a BDC program to release production order. It worked fine in one enviroment but not working another enviroment saying ..Material shortage.
My BDC program can't afford any hard errors in the process. The execution stop abruptly for any hard error.
How to change that Material shortage from hard error to soft error or any info message.
Any ideas? any thing to do with material master or spro?

You can make settings in SPRO, so that the material availability check will not restrict you to go further...
follow the path:
SPRO>Production->Shop floor control>Operations->Availability Check-->Scope of check
There you will find the settings for order creation and release (1 & 2)..
You have remove the restriction there.

How to capture bardana, shrinkage ,shortage & wastage

hi gurus ,
pl help me on this below underlined issues:
Wastage.
This is the value addition part. i.e. cleaning the material and picking out unwanted material from the recd quality to arrive at u2018 to be packedu2019 quality. This is measurable and is recorded in the production sheets.
Bardana
We receive material from market @ gross weight. i.e. including bardana weight. This is left over to us, while we pack the material in small packs. This is also measurable and has to be a part of production sheet. [ The bardana so eliminated has two uses. One is reuse in our cleaning and packing and delivering processes, and secondly, if received properly from stores, then sold ]
Shortages.
This happens at many places. One is, while receiving. It can happen due to bardana quality, natural moisture loss, or nature of material [ flours] . Second stage is, while the goods are warehoused, before they are processed. Its reasons are damages by rodents, other then all the reasons while receiving. Third stage is, when the goods are cleaned and then stored. And fourth is the u2018some extra weightu2019 while we repack in smaller packs. This all is going un-recorded.
Shrinkages
When so much volumes of multiple items are handled, un-intentional shrinkages are also part of our business. Usually, when store says, they have recd two packets short, those ultimately becomes shrinkages. Process are quite strong to avoid all these, but complete elimination is a day dreaming scenario. Even if myself and you sit at DC, I am sure we will be making more mistakes, then the boys who are currently handling. Intentional shrinkages are dealt with very strongly, but we are dealing with people. This is also going un-recorded. One more shrinkage is while we receive replacement goods from stores. [ We can call it what we may like- shortage or shrinkage ]

Here i dont understand IN THERE COA THEY MAINTAIN SHRINKAGE PER LB I think you can not able to define in COA per LB coz you will define only one account for shrinkage,Scrap or Waste but you can give with report either by querry or by crystal report as per there requirement of per LB.

What Is Memeo Backup and why is it on my MacBook Pro w/ Snow Leopard? Does it slow down my Mac? Seems like someting has slowed down my Downloads, Updates, Backups, etc. & I don't know how to locate the source or how to fix. Any Wizards avail to share some Wisdom? I am using Ethernet Cable/Port for Internet Connection, I Use a Seagate FreeAgent Go Flex Ultra-Portable Drive w/ Seagate's Firewire Adapter Cable.

If this is really Memeo Backup and you want to get rid of it for a better backup program like Carbon Copy Cloner the the following shows all the stuff that Memeo Backup installer installs (based on Memeo Backup 2.5.141 which I found with a google search and downloaded):
The primary file to disable Memeo Backup would be that file in LaunchDaemons. Remove it and reboot and the rest is just taking up disk space.

Block material order due to shortage

Dear All,
        I want to block my order automatically when material shortage happen.So as to say when I will give material with quantity in item row in order,system will automatically check availability.If material shortage will happen,the order will be automatically blocked and if material is available,order will pass for delivery.Can anybody tell this solution and tell me configuration ?

This is what we called "fill or kill. You can add entries in userexit MV45AFZZ or from a simple point of view, review the complete delivery functionality that is used in the customer master / CMIR.

Shortage qty - sub-contract process

In sub-contract process:
Vendor suppose to return - 10 qty
but, we received only 8 qty.
Vendor has accepted to pay For shortage 2 qty.

case 1) IF GR NOT DONE YET:
do the GR and , at the time of GR increase consumption qty.from 8 to 10.
that means u have comsumed more than required .then raise the debit note for loss.
reconcille the challan by the same GR doc and complete the same.
Case 2)IF GR is allready done.
reconcille the challan by GR document,then do 542 for remainning 2 qty.re4concille the challan by dat document.and complete the challan.
then take a physical inventory of that material for perticular storage location and post the negative difference .syatem showa that as a loss for u then raise the debit note for the same.

Can I restore a memeo auto backup created in Vista on a time capsule onto a Macbook pro?

I have a pc running vista sp2 and using Memeo auto backup software but backed it up to a TimeCapsule (we also have an iMac and a Macbook Pro in the house). The pc has now developed an HDD error and I'm thinking of replacing it with a MacBook Pro but I need to recover or restore all the files (.docx; .xls and winmail files plus loads of .jpgs) to the new MacBook Pro. Does anyone know if I can do this? I'd rather not have to buy another windows based pc. I've checked on Memeo's web site and support areas but can't seem to find an answer. Thanks.

I've never personally done this, but I'm qute sure you can. After all, this would be one method of migrating from the MacBook to the MacBook Air (with the assistance of Migration Assistant).

How to get the PLANNING SHORTAGE in the forecast tab of /sapapo/rrp3?

However, I originally had the kindle app on there and when he is reinstalling it comes up with my kindle account. How do we change this?

He does not have an actual kindle so I am not sure if he would be able to create one anyways.
The Kindle app is so you do not have to use a Kindle. Yes, he can have a Kindle account and not own an actual Kindle hardware device.

How to inform vendor for shortage of material during migo

In case of shotage in reciept that means during migo against PO in which PO quantity is 100 and u reciept 97 & 3 quantity having shortage in that case will any provision in migo transaction or any option through which we can send massge to vender regards that shortage?

Urgent: Component Pick releases - Shortages

Hi Gurus,
I need help.
I am planning to implement work order process in our site. I think I finished all required setups like items, BoMs (say 100 lines of BoM components). All components on BoM are operation pull.
Now I created a job and went into component pick release form. The move order is generated for 60 components, and no on hand is available for other 40 components.
But what I want to see is if on hand is not available for one of the component, I should not be able to create move order. Because I am not sure when I get delivery for other 40 components in above example, until that my move order will be picked and staged.
Please help me how can I avoid releasiong the move order for a work order that has shortages?

Hi PS,
In genergal, if I have shortage, component pick release is not creating the move order.
I want to control few items to not to release, I changed the item's supply type as push and tried to release the move order for all lines on the BoM, but as expected for push type componet's transaction type is wip component issue and pull type are backflush transfer on move order. Assuming all material available
Then I went into BoM setup, unchecked the "auto request material", then tried the component pick release. Now also it created the move order for all lines on the BoM.
I did not understand what is the significance of "auto request material", or any other setting causing this attribute does not work?
Just let you know, inventory org setup, I checked "release backflush components".
