Keyboard Shortcut for bullets (Command-Shift-L) no longer works
Hey Guys,
It seems so odd and I find it so irritating that I have been using this keyboard shortcut which is Command-Shift-L for bullets in Outlook, Notes and almost any word processing applications. All of a sudden this seems to have gone and now replaced by a Google Search. I tried researching a lot on the internet and found many articles which confirmed that this was indeed a keyboard shortcut but I couldnt find even one which could tell me what happened to it and how to make it work again. I've got so used to this shortcut because my work involves mainly around drafting emails and documents.
I have Macbook Pro Retina 13inch 2013 model & running Mac OSX 10.9.4 OS.
Now I did find one website link which told me how to disable the Safari trigger for this shortcut and I was successful in removing that shortcut. But I am stuck at the point where it's just blank. So now when I press these keys, nothing happens because no shortcut is set to it. I am moving in circles and would really appreciate if anyone can help.
P.S I've already gone through many links which say create paragraphs, this and blah blah but sorry I am not interested in that....Some links also say that Option + 8 key works for the bullets but that doesnt work for me either. However, I dont want that too. I would want the original shortcut which was there and would really appreciate if someone can tell me how to get it back or even configure it back to the way it was. Sorry for being rude but I am just frustrated with the long hours I have spent in fixing this silly issue and don't want the similar answers which I have already come across on the other links. There is no bullets option in Shortcuts. Defining shortcuts works by binding menu items in an application to a key combination. You have to find the name of a menu item in the application you are using.
For example in "Notes" is a menu "Format > Lists > Insert Bulleted List"
To bind it to the shortcut "⇧⌘L" open the Keyboard System Preferences > Shorttcuts tab and press "+" to add an application shortcut.
Type the name of the menu item "Insert Bulleted List" and enter the key combination.
This will work in "Notes", but you have to identify the names of menu items that will produce bullets in your other applications, if you want to add the shortcut for them. -

Keyboard Shortcuts are created in the System Preferences app, Hardware section, Keyboard, Keyboard Shortcuts tab.
Select Application Shortcuts on the left.
Click the "+" sign on the right and in the dialog box that pops up, enter: "Export..." and your preferred key combination. Here's an example:
Keep in mind that when you enter the name of the action in a layered menu, such as File > Export..., or Share > Export..., you are only going to enter the last menu choice, not the higher levels.

Hello,
All of a sudden my right command and right option keys are functioning as shortcuts for mission control and show desktop respectively. I haven't changed anything and can't seem to find any shortcut option in system preferences to change it. Control + up still works for mission control as default, and F11 is still show desktop. Left command and left option are working as normal.
Any suggestions? I have a feeling theres some silly little thing I've missed...

That is an interesting issue with the keyboard. To help isolate the issue, open up the Keyboard view to see if there are any keys being held down while you are typing to see if that is the issue. You will also will want to try this in another user on your computer to see if it something that is User specific or system wide. Let me know if you have figured out this part and I can help you further.

How do I setup a keyboard shortcut for an item in the Services menu?
In every Application, under the application menu is a "Services" folder. I would like to be able to setup a keyboard shortcut for one of these services (namely Skype).
I am a heavy user of the "Services > Skype > Call" command and I would love to have a keyboard shortcut for it.
I went to System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts, clicked on the plus sign to create a new shortcut (all applications) and entered "Services…Skype…Call" and assigned it to a keyboard command (shift-F1).
It doesn't work. Any clue as to what I am doing wrong?Hi

How do I generate a list of keyboard shortcuts for any given application
I want to generate a list of keyboard shortcuts for all of the applications I have on my Mac. I want the list to be a simple text (or rtf) file that I can edit and organize. (By edit, I don't mean change the shortcuts, only the report of them.)
I was using Key Cue, but it does not let me save the list to a text file.
I want this for several purposes. One is to have a easy to reference list of shortcuts to learn. Another is to find unused key combinations that I can use for my own keyboard shortcuts that I create with DefaultKeyBinding.dict.
Note: The program doesn't have to an OS X app. A program that runs from a shell without a GUI is plenty adequate.
If there is a way to read the keyboard commands from a plist list or other such file, and any of you know the format for these or where I can find them, I can write a Perl script myself to do it.Well, the info is stored in...

How do I change the keyboard shortcut for Cycle through open documents in PS CC for Mac?
Sorry to bug the community with such a seemingly inconsequential task, but I am seriously tired of using the awkward default keyboard shortcut for cycling through open docs in PS. I'd like to change it to what I am used in in Chrome, which is Cmd+Option+[left] or {right} arrow keys. I noticed this is not a command listed in the in keyboard shortcuts, for whatever reason. Where on Earth can I change this?
If it is not possible to do it by default, is there a plug-in or a change to the code that will allow this basic functionality?
Thanks again guys and gals!As far as I know, you can't. It's "hard wired" in. Not even Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts is allowed to change it.
However I did find this tip:
Anyway i never found tabs in Adobe application useful, instead i prefer the old school method: simply switch off tabs feature via illustrator/ preferences/ user interface/ open documents as tabs. Then in Mac preferences panel, under keyboard, just search for the “focus on next application window” field (under menu, keyboard and text) and assign a shortcut if the default option doesn't fit you. And there is now you can easily switch between open documents!.
The best part of this is that it can be used in all mac applications, not only Adobe ones. And remember, if you want this working on Indesign, Photoshop, etc be aware of first switch off the tab features so that the system could “see” multiple documents opened not only one single tabbed document.

Modification to processing of Command Orders & Tickets
We require a modification to the processing being performed on sales data originating from the Command Concrete system and potentially from other systems yet to come online (e.g. Reddies Cement plant).
The Sap process involved is
ZINT_INBOUND_POLLING and within that,
ZINT_CSTPORD_ROUTINES.
The problem
Currently there is an assumption that every sales order (and its deliveries) will include a product which is made to order, i.e. for which a production order will be required.
In ZINT_CSTPORD_ROUTINES, a check is made to identify the production order linked to the sales order. If there is no such production order (usually because of the customeru2019s credit status) then processing of the ticket is terminated.
This assumption would fall down if an order was to be raised (in Command) on which there is no concrete material. For example, if we sold a bag of pigment or a screed to a customer. In this case the item would be sold from stock and there would be no need for a production order
The solution
In the routine which checks for the existence of a production order, modify the code as follows:
Inspect each item on the sales order
If (and only if) there is at least one item with a category of u201CZTACu201D then check for a production order, otherwise process the order in the usual manner.

This report is a general file polling and distribution job for
inbound interfaces. Interfaces are identified by their assigned ID

run only for a single interface. This restriction has been implemented
for performance reasons. Dependent interfaces should be set up as
separate, dependent jobs in SM37.
For an interface to be triggered by this report, it must have:

entered in table ZINT_PARAM.
3. An interface-specific function module created in accordance with

2. Read interface administration and other parameters.
3. Check the inbound directory to see if there are any new files.
4. If there is a new file.
4.1 Read the data and update the interface log.
4.2 Archive the data and update the interface log.
4.3 Call the interface function module, sending data and parameters.
4.4 Log any messages returned from the function module.
5. Exit.
Please document all changes to this job carefully and clearly. Major
additions to functionality should be put in new, parameterised form
routines wherever possible to sustain maintainablility of the code.

Disable Keyboard Shortcut for Open Adobe Bridge
Is there a way to disable the keyboard shortcut which opens Adobe Bridge from Illustrator? Often when I'm working quickly I accidentally hit this (option command o) instead of (shift command o) to outline type. It halts everything to open Bridge, which I never use, and drives me crazy. Is there any way to disable this command?
Any help would be greatly approciated!!Go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > Menu Commands > File and remove or modify the default shortcut for Bridge.

Shortcuts for Batch and Image Processor in Bridge CS6
I use Batch and Image Processor all the time, and I'd like to use a shortcut.
Can you tell me if there is a shortcut or how I can program one?
I set up shortcuts for those two commands in Photoshop, but they don't work in Bridge.
I remember from the time I started with Photoshop and had Deke McClelland's book with his set of shortcuts. There was a shortcut that worked with image processor, but it was just a set you did install and no explanation. When I moved to a different computer and a newer version of Photoshop, these keys got lost.
Is there any way to automate Batch and Image Processor?There is no way to economically batch process in Bridge without having to go thorough sub-menus.
I'm sorry you can't get it to work, but on my system it works flawless.
Testing a bit more it seems you don't need to use a unique shortcut at all. I also tried to use the shortcut for Batch I created in PS itself to get the Batch window to front for running actions on open files. For me that is [control + Cmd + B] but feel free to find an other one.
When I discovered you don't need the unique shortcut at all I used the same shortcut for Bridge CC. . Also created [Control + Cmd + i] for the Image processor.
Both started without problems.
To extend I also created both same shortcuts for Bridge CS6. This also was working correctly, off course, having only PS CC open using the shortcut in Bridge CS6 it auto started PS CS6.
So can you specify a bit more about what OS you are using on what computer (I have OSX 10.8.4 on a MacPro 2012)
