Shortcut for star rating _and_ move to next photo?

Is there a modifier key to hold down when using the number pad to rate photos that will automatically move on to the next photo?
2.0 G5, MacBook Pro 2.0 Mac OS X (10.4.8)

{Right-Arrow}, or if that doesn't, "{Command}+{Right-Arrow}"
or
two-finger swipe on track pad (enable in Aperture Prefs, on the "General" page iirc)
or
use the arrow buttons on the Control Bar ("d" usually brings up the Control Bar)
or
you can configure a mouse scroll wheel to advance/retreat through the Images in the container while using the Viewer.

Keyboard shortcut for star shape does not work - arrow keys

I need to use the star shape to make a sort of badge with many points.
In the past, I've used the star shape and held up arrow or down arrow to change the number of points on the star. This no longer works for me in Adobe Illustrator CS4 (on a Windows Vista). Did this shortcut change? All my other keyboard shortcuts work. I tried resetting the preference file for Illustrator just in case, but it didn't fix it.

I have found a work-around for this problem, although it's a bit annoying.
I have a Wacom Bamboo tablet and encountered the same problem with establishing the number of points on a star. I tried everything and noticed it worked sometimes. Well, turns out that it will work only once after changing the settings for your pen. I just moved the tip feel setting leaving the pen tablet properties window open, went to illustrator and the arrow keys worked. If you try drawing the shape again, it won't work. You have to go back to the pen tablet properties window and move or change something, go back to illustrator and it works again. It's a little annoying, but if you're used to using the arrow keys to create shapes, it's handy to know it's there.

Keyboard shortcut for star radius 2?

is there a way to adjust the inner radius, "Radius 2" while drawing a "star"?
similar to the way you can increase or decrease the number of points by pressing the up and down arrows?

on another note, seems a little redundant to have a "Star" and "Polygon" tool but Adobe is all about a million ways to do one thing.

i bulid report page with star rating vote as this steps
1- download star rating plugin v_1_0 from oracle
2- install plugin in application
3- Create function GET_STAR_RATING_WIDGET in my database
4- i create report to show all articles with it rating i

What is the Keyboard Shortcut for Next/Previous Message in Lion Mail?

Using the 'full screen' message viewer (rather than the preview pane) how do I progress to an older/newer message in a folder without closing the window?

Shortcuts for filing plus reading the next message

Are there any shortcuts or preferences that allow the following in Mail:
1) From the toolbar in a message, the ability to file the message away in a specific folder ("mailbox")
2) Once a message has been filed/deleted, to read the next one in line in the Inbox.
I love Mail, but these two facilities from Outlook/Entourage are very handy...

There are no such preferences or keyboard shortcuts for what you're seeking. You can easily move a message to another folder by Control-clicking on it and using the Move To option from the contextual menu that appears. After it's moved, the next message will be selected and displayed if you have the two-pane message viewer enabled; otherwise it will just select the next message and you will need to double-click it to display it in it's own window.

perhaps it would be less expensive to just install a new disk with a larger capacity on your current MacBook Pro, rather than plan on buying a new Mac with a larger disk? Once your current disk has been cloned to the new disk, and the new disk has been installed into your MacBook Pro, that would allow you to keep Photoshop 5 on your current MacBook Pro.

Hi,
One of my ex-colleagues has installed a NI-DAQ 6.5 in our system. [And I do not see any other naitional instruments card in the CPU of the computer, may be he removed it] I deleted the account and all his files in the system. When I am trying to install version8.0, its not getting installed and giving me a message that I should uninstall the previous version by going to Add/Remove programs in the control panel.
I tried doing that, but the "Change/Remove" button does not seem to work...[There is no response and so unable to install the new version...]
Any idea how can this problem be solved?
It is a windowsXP operating system with SP2 installed on a machine with P4 processor.

Gnome3.6 shortcuts for "switch to next source" doesn't work after lock

If you have two or more input sources, once you have locked the screen, when typing password for re-login, the "switch to next source" shortcuts ("Ctrl+Space" for me) doesn't work.
I don't know whether it is a feature, or a bug? In fact I wonder if ALL THE SHORTCUTS DO NOT WORK AFTER LOCK.
Have anyone come up with this problem? If it is a bug, have it been reported to GNOME Bugzilla?

What is the shortcut for "next group tab" (usually ctrl+`) on an AZERTY keyboard?

I don't manage to find the shortcut for "next group tab". I have an AZERTY keyboard and the one found on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly doesn't work for me. I also tried using an addon to rebind it but it doesn't work either (addon used : https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/customizable-shortcuts/ ).

Ho powerboy,
1) Doing an "on the fly" slideshow is very handy for viewing an album of images and rotating them, giving them ratings and deleting them from the album/roll.
Highlight a roll/album/group of images and hit the play button on the bottom left of iPhotos window. There is a translucent control at the bottom of the slideshow. Click on the first,second,third or fourth dot to give you images a star rating while they are showing.
You can also leave the information panel open (click the "i" icon after the play button). As you highlight each image, the info is shown in that panel. Click the dot corresponding to the rating you want for that image.
2) The reason for the scroll window at top is for you to move to the next picture you want to edit. When you are done with your edit, highlight your next image at top to edit it. No need to click done and go back to the library view.
