Shortcut to Albums on N73?

On my previous S60 phones, I could put pictures in different folders and use that to categorize them. With the N73, the gallery always shows every picture in the phone. It has albums, but to go to the album list, I have to do Gallery -> Options -> Albums -> View Albums. Is there any way to do a shortcut to this view from the standby screen so I don't have to press 5 keys every time?

Not sure if this is helpful, but you might be able to set up an active standby shortcut, or maybe something in the "Go to" list?

New Album 6.0.A.0.26, Walkman 8.3.A.0.2 update rolling

Sony is rolling out updates on its Album and Walkman apps. Have you received it? What's your feedback?

The new UI of Walkman is not at all good. You will miss the shortcut feature of the old walkman where you can place shortcuts of album, artists, etc. on the home screen. Also, the colour change according to album art only happens in the Music Player Screen, not on the whole walkman UI. The Album UI is acceptable with very little change except the slide on menu. So, I must say I'm dissatisfied with the walkman update. The Album update is acceptable.

Great update on the latest Xperia Walkman app (8.3.A.0.5). A Big thank you for Maiko Ishida and the development team for the amazing new interface and Music Unlimited improved integration. However, even it is a step in the right direction but I have some requests that I hope to be included in future updates:
Most of these features/ideas are taken from Music Unlimited on PS Vita. I broke it down into sections for easier readability. I added the requests from my first post as well!
General
Please add the following
1) Include an option to separate Music Unlimited tracks from the track stored in the phone’s internal/external memory instead of having them mixed up. For instance including a “Filter By” icon to give us the option to display Stored Music, Music Unlimited Music or Both.
2) Include an option to store the offline music @ 320kbps to external memory
Search
Please add the following
1) Whenever searching for a track in Walkman App and results show up under Music Unlimited section, there is a small triangle (corner) next to each track name. Clicking on that will display a pop up menu, that menu only contains the following options "Add to, Queue, Create Artist Channel"
It would be great if three more shortcuts to be added to that pop up menu:
"Artist related info" (takes you to the artist page of that track with Top Songs, Discography, artist appeared on and related artist)
"Album" (takes you to the album that contains that track)
"Share Song or album"
2) Download Individual tracks instead of only playlists.
3) Include “Track Popularity” rating in the search results
4) Add a "Filter By" icon or drop box next to Discography under an Artist Page with the following filter options (Albums and Singles, Albums, Singles, Artist Appears On)
5) Add a "Sort By" icon or drop box next to Discography under an Artist Page with the following sort options (Popularity, Release Year, A-Z)
6) Add "Related Artists" section after Discography under an Artist Page

1) Long press on a channel icon under (premium, genre, mood and era) to display a pop up screen with options "Available Offline" and "Channel Information"

When Music Unlimited is enabled, it connects to the network everytime when I open the Walkman.
I live in Brazil, and mobile networks aren't great here. So when I access the Walkman it tries to connect, but the network is slow and the Walkman stays frozen trying to connect to the network.
My suggestion is: Not to frozen while connecting. It would be more interesting if it could connect in background, without frozing the app.

Photo album shortcut

Is there any way to create a shortcut to a certain photo album on iphone 5. I sometimes take pictures instead of writing things down, so I would like to create a photo album for those pictures, and create a shortcut to access them quickly. I am open to other ideas to get this done as well.

Creating albums to group them together is all there is.
Try double tap Home button and tap Photos app from tthe multitask-bar is the only shortcut.

Any good shortcuts to deleting/importing entire albums in iTunes?

I recently had to reset my iPod Touch and now find that on reloading my music much of it is/was on other drives or locations. I now have decided on better housekeeping and will keep all of it in the C:\Music\Albums folder.
When I view my albums in iTunes, most of them visually appear to be okay until I click on a song and the "can't find" message comes up with the question "do you want to manually find" or something like that. After I direct iTunes to the correct location, it is only for that one song. Can I do this for entire albums? One way of course is to delete the album and import the same album from the new location.
Also - and this would be even betteer - is there some way to select multiple albums and re-map them all? Most of the "lost" locations are from an external drive and I want them all to be on the local C:\ drive.
I have about 100 albums to move so shortcuts will help a lot. Should I just delete my entire library and start from scratch?

not sure if you can do this for multiple albums at the same time, but you can use the 'import folder' option from the file menu

Keyboard shortcut to switch between Song/Album/Artist

Is there a keyboard shortcut for switching between Song/Album/Artist/Composer etc. view in the top right corner of iTunes? If there's not, then consider this a feature request!

Not exactly, but down-arrow will swap the images, and 'z' will always zoom the "select" one, if the "Link Focus" padlock is unlocked. Is that close enough for your needs?

Shortcut for adding pictures to an album

I need to add tons of pictures to an album for a big project. I know how to add pictures to the album using drag+drop. However I'm on a powerbook laptop and i'm not yet very fast with the whole drag-drop on the track-pad, especially to drag tons of pictures across the entire screen.
Is there a keyboard shortcut for adding selected pictures to an album faster?

Another way is to create a smart album with the criteria Keyword is XXXXX. Then type Command+K to bring up the Keyword pane, create a special keyword, click on a photo click on the keyword in the pane, click on another photo, apply the keyword and continue.
Then you can either use the smart album or select the photos in the smart album and drag them to the one you want to use.

I can't find a particular album on my ipod, yet it appears on my computer ipod both in albums and playlists (thought a playlist of the album would shortcut the search). Any thoughts on how to fix this?

I have put a few audiobooks on my ITunes and wanted to play them on my ipod. However, they don't come up either my artist or album lists, despite appearing to be present when I look at them on the computer ITunes. I tried to make them easier to find by making a playlist, but the problem remains - present on the computer but not there on my ipod. Its like they are invisible on my ipod!
Has anyone come across this sort of problem before? How can I fix it?

I don't know if it's considered a problem, I think it's just part of the design of the program. Some might consider it a flaw in the design. But at least you've found a workaround.

How do you find duplicates in the same album? I keep creating albums and it's frustrating because I keep having to go back and personally scan for any duplicates. Isn't there a shortcut to finding these?

I'm knew to the iMac, although I've been using my Macbook Pro 2011 for some time and I love it. I've had an iPad and used the iPhone 5 and love the streamlined way you can share pics etc. between all devices. However, I've never used the iPhoto program until now. I am trying to organize my photos into albums and it is frustrating because I select photos from the main "Photos" on the Left Sidebar and because I have so many photos I tend to put duplicates into my albums. Then I have to spend hours searching to make sure there are no duplicates before I upload them to my website. This is tedious and time consuming. Surely there is an easier way to find all the duplicates IN THE ALBUMS I CREATE. I've looked everywhere and I can't find a sorting tool to put all the duplicates side by side so I can delete the proper ones.

If they are duplicates then sorting on title will put them together, no? If you have two photos called IMG_1234.jpg or 'Last Xmas 01', then they'll have the same name.

ITunes 11.2.0 Album view keyboard shortcut scrolling problem

In previous versions of iTunes 11 I could hit a letter on my keyboard to jump down the list to the first alphabetical album listed and open the contents of said album. Since the latest update this causes the window to completely overshoot the selected album and show non-expanded albums further down, causing me to have to scroll back up to see what was opened, negating the entire point of the feature.
Anyone else have this problem, and anyone know how to fix it?

I've got the same problem. It used to be really convenient to jump around in itunes that way, but not since I updated to 11.2. I think I might stop updating itunes after I find a fix for this. These sorts of inexplicable things keep happening.
edit- My sister has noticed the same thing since she updated itunes on her macbook, so this problem does not seem to be exclusive to the Windows version.

Artists/albums/songs list too long! Shortcut?

I've got so many artists in my iPod's list, it takes me far too long to find songs. Not so bad when you're walking around, but terrible when I'm in the car with the iTrip and I'm trying to find a song!
Is there any way I can break the Artists/Albums/Songs lists down into like.. A-K, L-Z? Or jump to a particular letter faster than 1 line at a time? I have looked in the settings but I can't find anything relevant.
If this isn't possible, maybe it would be a good idea for a future iPod feature?

It isn't about how many tunes - rather the size of the files.
Look at the bottom of the iTunes window when viewing a playlist - it will show you number of tunes, time of playlist and the size of the entire playlist.

N73 orange upload photo to album

Ive searched this forum and everyone else for how to disable the upload to album thing after you take a photo. Ive found suggestions for the N80 but the menus are different and ive tried the software update and also removing operator settings thing but nothing works! Its doing my head in and everything I do seems to make it connect to the internet. Ive made about 13 internet calls today that ive cancelled straight away when noticed but ive managed to receive 64kb of data and ive sent 1005kb all for nothing.
Any suggestions would be welcome

I go into "imaging" then start the Orange Photography application and then go to options -> settings -> disable photography service

I photo pics are in album, but need to upload from add item page on etsy. Cannot find where the pics are in my computer. I did put a name on each one. What is the best way to save an individual pic to be able to find it on the computer so as to upload?

I have an online etsy shop. There is a page on which to list a new item to be added to one's shop. When it is time to upload the pic or pics, I cannot find them,eventhough each has a name and all are in an i photo album. On my old computer I would "save as" and then could find it easily in my computer. In the new mac I just got, I cannot easily find the pic when trying to upload. Could you tell me an easy way to save each pic so that I can find it for uploads to that site? Thanks in advance. OS is Snow Leopard. Whatever i photo came with that would be the product I am using.

The following is from a post by Terence Devlin on accessing photos for use outside of iPhoto. It's the definitive treatise on the subject.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps.
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later:
You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu. Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5
Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
1. Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3.Show File:
a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
b. On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
