Shortcut to infotype in PA20

Are there no keyboard-shortcuts for the infotype-field in direct selection on the PA20/PA30 etc. screens?

hello,
As you know in the infotype header the format name that the screen shows is diferent
for USA:            Last Name , Name
for MEX version :   Name , Last Name
I need both to have the same format (Name , Last Name)

Sure it's possible.
1º) Open an infotype in pa20/pa30
2º) Go system -> Status
3º) Save the value of Program(Subscreen). E.g.: /1PAPAXX/HDR_00288A
4º) Open Se38
5º) Open the copied header. E.g.: /1PAPAXX/HDR_00288A
6º) Check the comments in blue. The header modifier will be the 2 number on second column. E.g.:
T588J (Table to change the header fields)
002 88 1 01 TXD   0000   PERNR   08   PN1
88 = Header modifier. Save this number.
7º) Open SM31
8º) Table T588J
9º) Open the corresponding header modifier. E.g.: 88
Now you can change the header
If you nede to change the format displayed go thru table T552N and set the value at field "Conversion".
Example:
Conversion = 07 , make this:
                 Before   >    After
               - GJM      > G.J.M.
               - ThChr    > Th.Chr.

Hi Daniel-
dding fields to standard Infotype
SAP allows you to add additional fields to any standard Infotype.
Step 1
Using transaction PM01 chose the 'Enhance Infotype tab' and press the create 'All' button.
Step 2
The following screen will appear allowing you to enter the new fields you wish to add to the Infotype.
i.e. ZZSPINST and ZZBACS
Step 3
Once saved and activated the new fields will appear in the Infotype screen and database table (See below)

Hr Infotyp 552. FM - how to get the Year Month Day?

Hello
In Infoty 552 you find a table with the dateelements DURYY, DURMM, DURDD.
But all field values are 0 when i look at the table with se16n.
When i look at the infotyp with pa20, i see the right values - so they must be calculated at run time.
Does anybody know a FM how to calculate these? i can't find them in debugger?

Add infotype in dropdown in PA20

Hi,
User is missing an infotype from dropdown list in PA20. The infotype definitely exists. I checked the table V_T588B but was unable to check if this infotype was available for the particular user group.But I am pretty sure that this IT is available for this UG.
My question is: how do you add an infotype to the dropdown list?

Hi,
Please check SU3 T.Code in your user's ID. In this T.code there is one tab called parameters under this you should maintain your UGR (User Group), MOL (Country Grouping). After you maintain this values check in PA20/PA30.
Based on the UGR, infotypes will maintain under Infotype menus.

J can programm it in PBO and check the transaction code, but I look for another solution, maybe in spro.

I have got a doubt after reading ur question.
PA40 is for Personnel Actions.
PA30 is to maintain master data.
PA20 is to display master data.
so is it possible to set infotypes only for PA 40, and not for PA30/20

Hi,
You can also check screen painter through transaction SE51. Give the module pool name under u201Cprogramu201D and the screen number, select layout editor and display. If you click on any field, the technical name will appear in the u201Cnameu201D row above. Further, any field with u201C?u201D is a mandatory field.

PA20/PA30 Green Check For Existing Infotypes

Can anybody tell me how the green check mark shows up on the screen for existing infotypes when you do a PA20/PA30? I have a request to try and make it show up on the TIME Infotypes, because currently it doesn't even when they are there.

Check in SMOD with F4 help and give pakage name.
We can find the exits. But for your requirement we need to have a screen exit or menu exit.

Can we view HR DMS data via PA20/PA30

Dear SAP HR GuruS!
We had a requirement wherein we stored HR Data scanned and stored on
DMS server, we wish to link Employee DMS data to Employee master data
i.e supervisor should be able to view Employee data via PA30/PA20. what
is the way to view employee record ( Stored in DMS Server) ,

There is no standard solution, but yoju can use this (see below) to create a object link between HR object and DMS

Adding Other Objects
Purpose
You can also link documents with SAP objects for which no linking is supported in the standard
SAP System.
Prerequisites
In Customizing for the Do
cument Management ,SAP objects that you want to link to document info records, by choosing Control Data ® Maintain key fields.
Process
Program two screens for the following module pools for the SAP object that is to be linked additionally:
u2013 SAPLCV00
u2013 SAPLCVIN
The process logic must be according to that of screen 0204 in program SAPLCV00 and must not be changed.
Create the function moduleOBJECT_CHECK_XXXX (XXXX = name of the SAP object).
If this object can be classified, this function module already exists in the standard system. Otherwise, copy the existing function module OBJECT_CHECK_EQUI (linking of equipment) and change it to suit the new object.
Result
After you have completed the above, documents can be linked with the SAP object that you have added. You define the settings for this in Customizing for the Document Management System (see:
Object Links).

DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_CURSOR error when using PA20/PA30 transactions

Has anyone encountered ABAP error DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_CURSOR while trying to use transaction PA20 or PA30. We started seeing this error this morning and we currently cannot figured why.

The issue has been resolved and turned out to be as a programming error. The developer had corrected the issue. Unfortunately I don't have the details as far as which part of the code was fixed.

Employees are not getting displayed in PA20

I have an Issue.When I am trying to give the employees in PA20,its not querying the employee details.But its employees details are available in the Infotypes.

Hi Lakshmy,
From what I understand from your question, I believe it is a screen header issue.
Go to SPRO and check your customizing settings for Screen header and Infotype Header Definition
You can display any standard SAP infotype and subtype fields in the infotype header. In addition, you can use all applicant infotypes.
When doing so, set up the Infotype Header Definition view (T588J) to suit your requirements.

Calling infotype 0002 in ALV report for showing employee photo

Hi all,
The requirment from business side is a report in which employees personal data shuold be shown with employee photo, I had tried for employee photo in ALV report but it didnt sucessed, then I went for other solution like calling transaction in ALV report.
In this case I am calling Infotype 0002 but the issue is that the transaction PA20 is coming with PERNR but I am not able to go directlly to infotype which shows employee Photo,please suggest any solution.

It is possible. Please refer the syntax for the CALL TRANSACTION
CALL TRANSACTION ta { [AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN]
                    | [USING bdc_tab [bdc_options]] }.
You can do a recording till the required page comes & call the transaction accordingly. Hope, you are aware about the same.
For example, I just had a solution to go to the roles tab in the user profile and I did as below:

Infotype 0023 Other/Previous Employer

Good Day Experts
I have an important query regarding Infotype 0023 - Other/Previous Employer in Adhoc query [S_PH0_48000510].
When i try to generate the data in IT0023 using Adhoc i cannot generate the data. But if you check all the empoyee
in PA20 they all have Previous Employer Data in IT0023, this is in SAP Production. But when i test adhoc in SAP QA and Dev it is working properly i can generate the data...

Infotype 23 is often special in the way that begda/endda is previous to employee's hiredate. To be able to see these data in ad hoc query, you need to set a switch in the infoset.This is done under 'Extras' and the tab 'Coding' for the entire infoset.
The switch should be as follows
*$HR$ [P0023]
*$HR$ TIME_DEPENDENCE = 'INDEPENDENT'
Note that the * should be there, it is not a comment.
Square brackets should be around P0023 (doesn't show up in thie post)
In addition, you need to ask for period 'All'

'CX_HRPA_INVALID_INFOTYPE_DB' Dump while maintaing Infotype 185

Hi,
We are getting an ABAP runtime error 'CX_HRPA_INVALID_INFOTYPE_DB' when tried to read or maintain the infotype 185 (personal Ids) via pa20 or pa30 for Japan. In IMG, Infy 185 is permitted for Japan for all the subtypes and we were able to load the data for HR records, but not being able to either view or modify them.
Please help if anyone knows how to resolve this.
