Shortcut to redial last number?

Hey,
Is there a shortcut to redial the last number dialed?
I know (believe me, I know) the iPhone creates a REDIAL button on the screen when a call gets dropped by the ATT network.
I also know you can click the PHONE icon, click recent, then click the top non-red entry.
But most phones have a quickie to redial from anywhere. Just wonderin'
Jim

I have heard a couple reports of people using Bluetooth headsets finding that hitting whatever combo of buttons causes a redial on most phones causes a redial on the iPhone....

• RE: Iphone 5 Phantom ghost redialing last number called over and over.

My phone has started to phantom call the last number called or received. Sometimes it calls numerous times a minute others times it calls every 5, 10 15 minuts randomly. At first i thought i may have been butt or pocket dialing but this continued happening with the phone untouched. The calls do show in call log.

• Problem with ios7. when ending a call the phone redials the last number again and again.

Dear friends,
Major problem with ios7 just came up. When ending a call either from headset or the phone itself it keeps redialing the last number. The only way to shut it is to use the home button key and then choose the banner of the active call on the top of the screen and press end call.
Has anybody encountered the same problem?

i have the same problem as well as my daughter. have to restart phone and then it stops, but after a couple calls it will do again

I have read the various help support but I seem to be going around in circles. I am not a computer geek so please bear with me. Thank you.

• Auto-numbering sequence from last number used

Is there a way to set the Filename Template Editor and the Text Template Editor to automatically start numbering a batch of images from the latest number used?
At present in Editor, one has to set the Start Number manually. I am using this feature on photos that were imported into LR long ago and am now getting around to editing, processing, cataloguing them. Part of that process for me is renaming them, giving each a custom+sequence Filename, for example "DDOH-3256".
The way the text editor is set up now, I have to remember what I was working on most recently, find it, check what the last sequence number was in that batch, then set the next available sequence number in the Text Template Editor.
I used to use IView Media Pro and it had a lot more naming and re-naming conventions, including. It would be great if LR had the same options.
Thanks for any help or feedback,

Hi,
I have a sequence and i am using that in a procedure to insert records.Often the procedure throws error like primary key violated.
When i checked the last number used by the sequence it gave me as 27331 and the currval of the sequence as 27312.
Please advice us to rectify this.First make sure that you understand the difference between a primary key and a sequence.
A sequence is just a number generator. Oracle guarantees that the sequence will give you a new unique number each time that you call NEXTVAL. If the sequence is cycling then it can even generate the same number again after some time but this is rarely the case.
A primary key is a constaint on your table that requires all values in the column to be unique and not null.
When you get an primary key violated error then you just tried to insert a value that was already there in the table.
Some scenarios might be the reason for this.

You insert a row using the sequence. You insert a new row using the same number again without fetching it from NEXTVAL (e.g. using currval instead of nextval, or not updating a variable that holds the new ID,...)

Somebody else already inserted an ID without using the sequence

A variation is when you import data from another database and resetted the sequences

There is some test data in your tables. The test data was inserted in a high ID range to separate it from the real data. Your sequence just reached this range.

• Get Last Number in Column

I have a column of numbers (ColA), into which I enter a new number at the bottom of the list for each day.
I have another table where I want to show only the latest number entered in ColA. I don't want an average or max or min... I want the last number in the column. And since the column grows every day, I don't know what that cell number will be.
Is there a way to do this?
Thanks
D

Hi Dana,
Here's a two part formula set that should do it.
The numbers are entered in column G.
1. Two versions of a step one formula. Each checks for three consecutive empty cells in column G. If three are found, then the contents of the last cell before them is returned. Otherwise the return is a blank (or zero). For each, the formula is as it appears in cell H2.
=IF(AND(G2>0,ISBLANK(G3),ISBLANK(G4),ISBLANK(G5)),G2,"")
OR
=IF(SUM(G3,G4,G5)=0,G2,"")
Whichever you use, drag the handle at the bottom right of H2 to fill the formula down column H.
The first formula returns blanks for all cells except the target one, for which it returns the number in G2. The second returns the same results up to the target one, but returns zeros for all cells after that.
2. The second formula collects the number from column H, and places it in a fixed location (ie. the cell containing this formula. I put it in cell J2.
=MAX(H)
Column H is used only for calculation, and may be hidden.
NOTE: These formulas reflect the way I would accomplish this in an AppleWorks spreadsheet. It works in Numbers as well, but does not take advantage of any Numbers specific features.

Barry

• Why did my IP Address (last number) change?

Why did my IP address change; the last number? It used to be 10_ and now it's 10_
Thanks!

That device (whatever it is) presumably obtains its IP address from a DHCP ("Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol") server. The operative word is "dynamic". If you must have a fixed IP address, explain why that's the case (along with more details about your network situation) and I'm sure people will be able to give you advice about dealing with that.

• Sometimes when connecting to sync, my phone dials last number

when connecting to sync, my phone will dial the last number used. not butt dialing. keypad is locked and in a case.

If you check this support document, http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 it might help as to why the phone keeps disconnecting. Has it been showing in iTunes?

• HTC Incredible Dials last number dialed too easily

The only thing I don't like about my HTC Incredible is the design of the phone dialing screen. Is there a way to change the layout so it isn't so easy to re-dial the last number dialed? The green phone button is on the bottom of the screen, right next to the "back" arrow, so if I hit the phone button in error, it dials the last number I dialed. Any ideas?

A replacement dialer application, maybe? There are a couple of them in the Market. I am trying one now, but haven't decided yet if it is a keeper.

• Use the last number in a column

Don't use spread sheets much and wondered if anybody could help with this problem. I am monitoring my weight and each day put the new weight value in the next cell. ie
201
198
197
I have another cell in the sheet which contains my target weight from which I want to subtract the latest weight record this of course moves to the next cell down each day. Is there a formula to pick the last number in a column of data? ie in the above example takes 198 on day 2 but 197 on day 3.
Thanks
Jonathan

Ok. The formula didn't have to be that fancy after all. We can use COUNT to count the number of entries, then use INDEX to return the corresponding entry.
If the actual weights are in column B and goal weight in E2, then in D2 enter this formula:
=E2-INDEX(B,COUNT(B),1)
So, a couple caveats:
1) Must start entering the weights in the top body cell (whether table has header or not, see below).
2) Column B cannot have any extraneous numbers (this will throw the count of entries off).
Free Image Hosting
If you are actually using Numbers '09 and the table has headers, then for some reason the formula is slightly different depending on how many header cells are in column B. E.g. if one header, then enter =INDEX(B,COUNT(B)+1,1); if two headers, then enter =INDEX(B,COUNT(B)+2,1); Or, simply enter =INDEX(B,COUNT(B)+ROW(B)-1,1), which adjusts to whatever number of header cells.

• Last number of bank card not accepted

Hello, I have problems with skype and the credit charging, everything is going well until the last number of the bank card. There may be but 4 numbers required by the map the rest does not work. Also, I can't make video calls with my contact, as soon as I call and she wants me to answer skype right, stops and otherwise as well. I have a new laptop with windows 8 and my husband too, we have never had problems with skype until now.

Any error message you are seeing when trying to enter the credit card information?
Also make sure you are entering credit card number and the "CVG" verification number (which is threee digits only) in the correct fields in the form.

• Renaming "Sequence" restart after last number used?

I'm fairly sure that when you rename files in Bridge using a sequence of numbers, it remembers what the last one used was. When you next open the dialogue box, it pre-populates the text entry box with the number following the last one used.
This doesn't happen in Lightroom - if I want to carry on from where I left off last time then I have to shut the dialogue box again, go to the last folder of images I renamed, find the last number, go back to the original folder, re-open the rename box and then type in the last number+1! It was a real time-saver to have this feature in Bridge; it would be great to have it in LR too.

• How do I set my iPhone 4S to clear the last number dialed?

Every time I try to dial a new number, the last number I entered on the keypad is still there. I have to delete it manually before I can call someone else. My husband has an iPhone 3, and his keypad is always blank when he accesses it. Is there a setting for this? thanks!

maybe it's because I'm using the keypad to enter numbers into my contact list & not actually calling them.
Correct.
"how do I enter numbers into my contact list?"
Select the Contact, press the Edit button, tap the desired number (work, mobile, home, etc) and enter the number. Press Done when complete.
