Shortcut

My photoshop elements 12 shortcut isn't opening on my desktop. It was fine just moments ago. I can't open any of my edited pictures. I have HP envy

Try making a shortcut to launch the Editor directly, bypassing the welcome screen. Go to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12
Find the file called PhotoshopElementsEditor (click the image below)
Right-click on the application and choose:
Send to >> Desktop (shortcut)
Go to your desktop and double-click on your new shortcut icon to launch.

  • Can't get itunes.  I get the following message when I click on either the shortcut or the program.  It says ITunes has stopped working and I can either check on line for a solution and close the program or just close the program.

When I click on the itunes shortcut or the program  I get the following message:
ITunes has stopped working.  My two options are:  Windows can check on line for a solution to the problem or close the program.
It seems that my entire library is not there.  If I sync my ipod will it add it back into my library on the computer?
I've even tried installing again and nothing works.  Tried the "repair" and it says that ITunes is loaded but I stil get the above error when I try to open the program.

  • When I drag and drop an icon from the address bar to the desktop is does creat the shortcut but will not display the website icon, only the firefox icon, how can I display website icons?

When I drag and drop a website icon from the Forefox address bar to the desk top, the short cut is created but the icon that appears is the firefox Icon. I want to disply the icon from the website that the short cut refers to. I have checked all I can think of in my computer to no avail.

You have to assign the favicon yourself to the desktop shortcut (right-click the shortcut: Properties) after you have dragged the link to the desktop.
You can usually find the favicon in Tools >Page Info > Media and save the icon there.
Otherwise use the main domain of the website and add favicon.ico (e.g. mozilla.com/favicon.ico ) to display the favicon in a tab and save that image to a folder.

  • How to Open a Specific Folder in the Finder via Shortcut Key

I'm sure this has been covered elsewhere, so sorry for not finding it...
Is it possible to assign a shortcut key to open a specific folder with Automator or AppleScript? There are 4-5 commonly used folders buried 10-11 levels deep on a server and I'd love to have a shortcut key to open those particular folders in the Finder.
Could you give me some assistance?
    Thanks!

QuickKeys may work, or you can look on http://www.versiontracker.com or http://www.macupdate.com for other alternatives.
Another option is to create aliases to those folders and store the aliases in a local folder which you can place on your Dock, the Finder window sidebar or toolbar.

  • I can no longer do keyboard shortcuts since latest update.

I am running Firefox 34.0.5 on a Windows 7 computer. Firefox updated the other day and I can no longer use my Edit keyboard shortcuts. (ie CTRL V etc) I read an article telling how to correct this with a Mac computer, how do you do it with a Windows computer?

Firefox 35 was released yesterday. Please use Help > About Firefox and run a Check for Updates to get the latest version. Then see if that issue is resolved.

  • With the last update, 10.0.1, I can no longer pin my Firefox shortcut to my taskbar. How can I do this....there is no longer any option to do so. TIA

This is what worked for me.
    1. Open Windows Explorer
    2. Proceed to where Firefox is stored
    3. Drag the Firefox icon to your desktop (this will create a desktop shortcut)
    4. Drag the Firefox shortcut to your task bar
    5. Delete your Firefox desktop shortcut
You should now have a Firefox shortcut pinned to your task bar.

Hmmm, could be related to the following, but I haven't tested myself:
There is a bug in Firefox 21 with the Windows 7 Taskbar "Jump List" not being updated. (Long thread here: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/959865 Why do visited sites not show in my jump list? (Win 7 Ultimate).])
Judging from the bug system, the fix for that issue will definitely appear in Firefox 24, and there is an effort to move it up to Firefox 22 (beta) and Firefox 23 (aurora).

  • Suggestion for a New Keyboard Shortcut

I'd like to suggest a way of increasing the efficiency of editing captions and other metadata in Aperture by adding a keyboard shortcut that always serves to move to the next image in the viewer. For example, Command-Shift-] (or something) to move to the next image in the library. Right now, I think only arrows move to the next image, but that doesn't work if you are editing in a text box, so you have to use the mouse or trackpad.

    Hi Bruce and fruhulda,
ok, I found the keyboard viewer, it only shows the traditional symbol 'return'.  something like a sideway u-turn continued with the arrow under.  This is the Canadian or US keyboard.
    btw thanks for your suggestion.

  • What is the shortcut key to highlight words in adobe reader in macbook pro

what is the shortcut key to highlight words in adobe reader in macbook pro?
Shift + U is not working
how can i change shortcut key?

I don't believe there is a keyboard shortcut available for that feature. But I believe if you click-select the topmost chapter, and Shift-click the bottommost chapter, it should select them all.
Other shortcuts for books can be set up in Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts in the Panel Menus product area. There are no default shortcuts in that area.

Yes, Bridge shortcut has been removed from PS CS5. However, you can go to File->Browse in Bridge option to open the file in Br CS6.

  • At what process do DE shortcuts get created? Inconsistent PKG builds..

I've only been using Arch for about 2 months now, but I've noticed some real inconsistencies with respect to whether a menu shortcut is created for a given application.  I'm wondering at what point in the package build process does this get determined.
For example, the following programs automatically generate application shortcuts in the GNOME menu:
    K3b
    Inkscape
    dvd::rip
    Yet these applications don't:
    Acidrip
    K9copy
    lbreakout2
    stellarium
I've looked through the ABS tree for differences in the individual build files, but I don't see a pattern that determines what does and doesn't have a GNOME shortcut.  Where is this determined?
It would seem to me that any program which makes its way into the Current or Extra repos should also have the appropriate shortcuts provided for the DE automatically, if only for the sake of consistency.  Half the the time, I can't even tell whether I've already installed a program or not because there's no menu item for it.

ezzetabi wrote:Considering there are lots of WM and DE with different format...
I am the only one who thinks the packages should not create shortcut at all?
It would be more useful adding an option to pacman -Ql that filter any non executable file.
while it's true it's not standarized, .desktop files are nice and it's pretty likely to be more adopted, as it's a freedesktop.org spec (although then agin, I haven't seen a lot of implementations of their trash spec, but whatever)

  • Cannot send Mail from Search shortcut "email [name of contact]" with exchange account

i have a Q10 with an exchange Account configured. Mail works fine from the hub but when i use the search feature of the q10 by typing "email [name of contact]" the compser opens but i cannot send. the account field is empty and when i press send the button gets greyed out. the email is not sent.
the problem seems to be that the default-account setting is not recognised when you use the search-shortcut-feature of the q10. when i compose a mail from the hub the account-field is filled right.
same problem has a friend of mine from another company. he also uses a different excahnge server/account.
    os-version: 10.1.0.238
    language: german
    exchange version: 2010

    Hi!
I've got the same problem. It's a quiet annoying bug.

  • Creative Cloud Packager: moving application shortcuts ?

hello, I'm using Creative Cloud Packager to deploy applications on windows x64 (from an education enterprise agreement) is there an embedded way to specify a different folder where the shortcuts shoud be created? currently they're all in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu and I'd like them to be in let's say C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\adobe
I'd rather not use a script to do that (I'm deploying through sccm, and with the exception program + the main package I'd like to avoid another step that could fail during the deployment)
I didn't see anything related in the documentation, but maybe I missed something, please point me in the right direction,
    thanks

    Hi,
Download and Install Adobe Application Manager, launch it and let it update itself.  Then you should be able to close Application Manager and open Creative Cloud Packager.  That worked for me

  • Using shortcuts in Item Help Text

    Hello everyone,
I have a problem using shortcuts in Help Text sections of items. It says in the help "Item help supports shortcuts using "SHORTCUT_NAME" syntax." but it seems not. In the shortcuts sections of the shared components, it doesn't says that shortcuts can be used in Help text section.
I am using 3.1. It is a 3.1 bug? I didn't see int he corrected bug's list that is was a bug in 3.1 so.
If it is not a bug and it just doesnt work in help text sections, do you have any suggestion to supply help text from a help system somewhere else in the organisation?
    Thank, Bpprive

    Thank a lot,
You can find the information by clicking on "Show edit link" on a page, then on the edit link of a textfield, scrolling to the section "Item help text" and finally on "help text", juste above the textarea.
"Identifies help text for a page item. This help can be displayed by a help system. Item help supports shortcuts using "SHORTCUT_NAME" syntax."
I was really happy to find an easy and customizable way to implement help text provided by help system. I have some more ideas, but I't was far away the greatest!
    Thank, bpprive

  • How do I make web shortcuts into start screen tiles that can be pushed to all users profile on a computer in Windows 8.1 enterprise?

We are trying to roll out Windows 8.1 Enterpise in our school system (K-12).
The focus of this question is how do we take an internet web based shortcut and make it into a screen tile (on the start screen) which will appear for any user's start screen that logs on to the computer?
    The details:
We came upon a great paper that's entitled "Customize Windows 8.1 Start Screens by Using Group Policy".
By applying this paper we were able to accomplish our first goal: Lock down the start screen so no user could change it. We accomplished this by using the Start Screen Layout policy setting laid out in the paper.
Our second goal: to customize the start screen is only half way met. We can set up the start screen the way we want and then export the .xml file. We are able to "reimport" the .xml file when the new user logs in. The installed programs
will appear on the Start Screen but not the internet based web shortcuts that were on the inital setup start screen.
(FYI - tried creating these tiles by running the start screen internet explorer app to the intended address and pinning them to the start screen. At this time trying to figure if there is a place to put desktop internet short cuts into a directory to make
them appear on the Start Screen).
We can see that the directory: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs is a place for program files to appear on the start screen. Is there a location web based shortcuts can be placed to cause them to automatically appear on the start
screen for every user as well? If not how do we accomplish getting these into tiles for every user logging in?
Sorry for the lengthy explanation. Hopefully it gets our question answered and helps others out there in the same boat!

    Karen-
Results: Did not work. The web based shortcuts did not appear.
Below is the steps taken with your tips incorporated. (Again it's lengthy sorry about that, but anyone can recreate what was done here. Maybe someone can see something left out by doing/reviewing it).
    Here is what was done:
    1. Installed a fresh install of Windows 8.1 enterprise on a pc. No updates were ran.
    2. During setup created the admin account.
    3. Logged into the account a simple start screen was arranged and setup by:
Starting desktop Internet Explorer. Going to Technet's website. Clicked tools and then selecting "Add site to Apps" from the drop down menu. Went to Apps screen, right clicked and pinned it to start screen. Repeated this procedure with an
    educational web based site.
Right clicked a few provisioned apps and unpinned them from the start screen.
Made a few groups and labeled them. Web based shortcuts were arranged with one provisioned app in that particular group.
    4. Opened a Powershell, right clicked it and ran as administrator. Typed the following:
    export-startlayout -path C:\Users\Public\Master.xml -as xml
(Master is the name chosen for this test .xml file and was put in a location all users would have privelages to access it).
    5. Opened the command prompt and right clicked and "ran as administrator", typed in gpedit.
    6. In the Local Group Policy under User Configuration, under Start Menu and Taskbar I choose the Start Screen Layout.
    7. Enabled the policy and typed in: C:\Users\Public\Master.xml for the Start Layout File.
    8. Opened computer management, under Local Users and Groups I chose Users, right clicked in the middle screen and created a new user called Alpha.
    9. Logged out of the inital account and logged into newly created Alpha account.
    10. When the Alpha account logged in the start screen came up with everything changed in the inital account but no web based shortcuts were found on the start screen or App view.
