Shortdump "ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY" in SICF when creating an alias

Hi
I'm trying to create a reference to the WSHANDLER service in SICF, on a WAS 7.00 system (IDES), but when i'm switching to the tab "Alias Target", the system generates a Shortdump (see below).
Have any of you experienced/solved this problem (It's on an IDES System so i'm afraid that help on the OSS isn't very likely )
I have found a post from [mani sahay,|DSWP;, with at reference to OSS Note 1042052, but it doesn't seem to exist
Any help on this issue would be very appreciated

     Error in the ABAP Application Program
     The current ABAP program "RSICFTREE" had to be terminated because it has
     come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Error analysis
     An entry was to be entered into the table
      "\PROGRAM=RSICFTREE\DATA=GT_ALIAS_ICFS[]" (which should have
     had a unique table key (UNIQUE KEY)).
     However, there already existed a line with an identical key.
     The insert-operation could have ocurred as a result of an INSERT- or
     MOVE command, or in conjunction with a SELECT ... INTO.
     The statement "INSERT INITIAL LINE ..." cannot be used to insert several
      initial lines into a table with a unique key.

When is an Alias created?

While helping a friend I found a folder full of aliases of jpgs. She thought they were the real images but in fact the real images were not on her hard drive. I know an alias is created when you drag a file to a CD to burn but these were in a folder on her hard drive. I did a searh on Alias here, but not an answer to the basic question, "under what circumstances might one end up unknowingly creating an alias by simple drag and drop". I doubt very much she did any dragging with an option or command key combination. Searching for the file names showed the originals were not on her computer. She often burns CD and often copies images from a compact flash card mounted via a CF card reader but I can't imagine she mounts a cd, copies original from the mounted CF card to the CD and then drags the alias to the hard drive... What other ways might somebody end up with a folder full of aliases and no originals on their HD ?

Most likely she thought she was copying the .jpg’s from another computer to a CD by dragging them without holding the option or command keys, which copied only the aliases and then copied that folder of aliases to the computer.
The only other ways I can think of would be by 1) dragging the files to the CD (making aliases), dragging the folder of aliases back to the computer, and the deleting the originals (unlikely)
or 2) making a new folder, making aliases of the files (command-L), dragging the aliases to the new folder, and deleting the originals (also unlikely).
With either of the last two it may be possible to recover them from Time Machine. For the first, and most likely, find the computer with the originals and copy the files (not aliases) to a CD and move them to the desired computer.

Shortdump when creating new Application set

Hi All,
We have a newly installed BPC system (BPC 7.0, SP 02).
We are facing issues when creating new Application Set. Although on the .Net server it shows that the creation of appset was successful, in SM37 Copy AppSet job is terminated with Shortdump "Raise_Exception, X_Message".
I can see the new appset in RSA1, however not all dimensions and applications are copied from Apshell.
I've seen SAP Note: 1420399, which says that this type of issue happens when the user does not have sufficient access. But we are facing same issue with admin user who has full access.
Any pointers in resolving this issue would be highly appreciated.

Please verify you have followed the following steps from the installation guide.
These steps are required for proper functioning of the Business Planning and Consolidation software:
1. Set the /CPMB/ namespace to changeable:
a) Go to transaction SE06 and choose System Change Option.
b) Make sure that the BPC Addon is set to Restricted Modifiability.
c) Set the /CPMB/ namespace to Modifiable.
2. Set the /B28/ namespace to changeable:
a) Go to transaction SE06 and choose System Change Option.
b) Make sure that the BPC Addon is set to Restricted Modifiability.
c) Set the /B28/ namespace to Modifiable.

Finder crashes when I create an alias on my iDisk

This is sort of weird, and I believe it may have started with the last OS update. When I create an alias by control-clicking or right clicking on a file that is on my iDisk, Finder crashes to permanent beachball. It does this every time. It can be restarted with the force quit menu.
But this is kind of a pain, and I think it's possibly a bug in the update? I store my frequently-worked files on my iDisk and create aliases on both of my computers' desktops to access them. The only way now that I can create these aliases without crashing is to drag the file off the iDisk, make the alias on my desktop, and then drag the real file back to the iDisk.

Yes, I do know - thanks, Kirk. And I used to use that feature. But now, I have so many files on my iDisk that it takes too long to sync the whole thing, particularly on my Macbook when I'm away from home on a hotspot or slow wireless.
I don't want to take the older files off, because I need to reference them occasionally so I want to make sure they're available everywhere, even when I might not have my laptop and be on someone else's unit. It's just the two or three active files I am working at the time that I put on my desktop as aliases.
I suppose "back to my Mac" might now be an option for the older files, since I now have an Airport Express. It previously would not work on my cable modem connection, though.
In any event, I used to be able to create the aliases exactly the same way, and now it crashes Finder. So I'm kind of suspicious a bug came in on the last revision.

Please verify the Information Store service is started.
Distribution Group and contacts both have no mailbox in information store. So you can create them.
And now, we may need to verify if the mailbox database is mounted and we can get its information.

Free of goods should come automatically back when creates return sales order

I Know one thing that free goods wont come back ,, for ex when we create return sales order free goods wont come bz in VTAF copy requirement 302
it means dont copy free goods

I just checked and understand in the below way:
When I Do the PGI system is posting say 50 USD to COGS. But, when I do the Invoice ( 100 USD is credited to sales account and 100 is debited to discount account) So at the end 100 is getting Nullified. But, when we see P&L account you will COGS of 50 USD.
I checked along with my FI consultant and she confirmed that its posting as per expected way only.

When you are using the Internal ITS,you need not run the report W3_PUBLISH_SERVICES.(only SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INT )
ALso pls check the foll:
-->activate the services through SICF tcode.
> Go to SICF transaction and activate the whole tree under the node Deafult host>sap>bc>gui>sap>its.
>Also maintain the settings in SE80>utilities>settings>internet transactuon server-->test service/Publish.
Table TWPURLSVR should have entries for the / SRM server line as well as gui and web server.
Could you please review again the following steps ?
Did you check that ICM was working correctly (TA SMICM) ?
1-Activate the necessary ICF services
With transaction SICF and locate the
services by path
/sap/public/bc/its/mimes
/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
2- Publish the IAC Services
With Transaction SE80 locate from
the menu Utilities -> Settings ->
Internet Transaction Server (Tab) ->
Publish (Tab) and set On Selected
Site = INTERNAL.
3- Locate the Internet Services SYSTEM and WEBGUI.
Publish these services with the Context
Menu -> Publish -> Complete Service
4- Browse to http://<server>:<icmport>/sap/bc/gui/
sap/its/webgui/! and login to the
webgui.

Create an alias to run a plug-in?

I'd like to create an alias on my desktop that would run an Automator plug-in.
Is this possible?
I find it clumsy to have to right-click my desktop and navigate three menus to get to it.

Indeed I could create an alias to the workflow, but then Automator has to start and then I have to click the Run button and then quit Automator when that's done.
I just want to double-click an alias rather than right-clicking on my desktop and navigating the appropriate menus.
My workflow does not prompt me for any input when it runs; I've told it to use the same input every time (Get Specified Finder Items (External Harddrive) -> Eject Disk -> Put Computer To Sleep (this is a Cocktail action)).
At the moment I've saved the workflow as a plug-in for the Mac's script menu, which isn't as bad but still not the best.
I've discovered that you can run Automator workflows via Terminal, so I'm currently investigating if this could lead to the answer...

Hi,
the first thing is that you have to create the folder manually on the filesystem (in your case E:\usr\sap\j2e\jc00\j2ee\cluster\server0\test\example => test and example) Then you can access this file.
Maybe you should start with only a name without a "\". Create the alias "test" and create a folder e:\testfolder. Then point the alias test to the folder testfolder.

Problem with FQDN when creating Web Dynpro App

Hi @ all,
when create a WDA the url is set like this: HTTP://SAPVM1:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/z_wda_sample.
I defined the icm/host_name_full and the SAPLOCALHOSTFULL correct*, but it did not work. I have also restarted the system more than one time. I searched a lot, but found no solution here on sdn.
*correct means : sapvm1.mydomain.de
Even if I try to start a default wda example the wrong FQDN is set. But if I start the wda at the SICF (test service) it works, the FQDN is set right.

Hi,
it seems that the httpurlloc table was the problem. The host entry in this table was no FQDN, I changed it into FQDN and it works. Now the generated url of the web dynpro applications is correct.
Maybe this helps somebody else.

Creating an alias - is this a bug or what??

Please let me know if this is a bug or a "feature"!!! As I understand things (a few changes since OS 6.0.4 in 1989...) there are 4 ways to create an alias when one is in a folder. For example, I'm in my Applications folder with 300 items in that folder. Generally I put my aps into a folder with the name of that app and the word folder. (I used to use ƒ but read that Unix doesn't appreciate that symbol)-- OK back to the main point: ALIAS creation - 4 ways I know to do this:
1. I right-click and choose Make Alias with the folder or icon selected
2. I hold down the option and command keys and select the folder or icon, then drag it just a bit and voilà - an alias.
3. I choose the folder or icon I want and then do cmd-L to create the alias.
4. I go to the file menu after selecting the folder and choose Make Alias
GREAT all 4 work (is there a 5th way?)--
BUT when I do choices 3 or 4, then instead of everything staying in place, the alias is created and then the screen jumps to the very top - to the "A" or numbered labeled folders / apps!
NOTE: My apps folder has the view choice to ARRANGE BY NAME. If I change this to none - then cmd-L or Make Alias just makes the alias in-place!
BUT choices 1 and 2 also keep the window of my apps folder in the same location EVEN WHEN IN THE ARRANGE BY NAME mode.
Again - is this a bug or a feature? Certainly annoying to make an alias and then have to go back and search for the alias... And note: If arrangement is SNAP TO GRID then choices 3 and 4 for creating an alias also have the screen jump to the "A" folders, i.e. the BUG!
Any comments appreciated - this is a real pain as I keep many of my folders organized by SNAP TO GRID or ORGANIZE BY NAME.

Thanks for your fast reply! There are 3 issues and I'm mainly concerned with #3- but I likely confused everyone with my long post - so let me try this:
1. Moving Apps out of the Applications folder: You are right, it is best to keep the apps in the Applications folder. Especially Apple's applications - for the update and maybe other reasons and I do that.
2. Creating an alias and where does the alias go: That's right, it has the same name and just the word alias added to the end so YES it stays right next to the original (especially when the folder is in the Arrange by Name view). So no problem there - mine is the same.
3. Third issue is really my only concern: The act of creating an alias by cmd-L or the menu: In a window that scrolls, i.e. with many apps or several apps with large icon size (I should mention I'm talking in ICON view here)-- when you make an alias, the window automatically scrolls to the very top. So if you have a folder with 300 apps in it and you make an alias of ZEBRA FOLDER, then the alias is in the correct place but the window scrolls to the top (AARDVARK Folder or whatever).
*ADDITIONAL INFO:* After several restarts - yup, this is now NOT happening very often. Mostly the window is NOT scrolling so perhaps I'm wasting your time and others with this post. Let me recheck the next few days and then post again- especially if the problem has disappeared... which it seems is the case... (I should remember to restart 2x when anything unusual before posting!)

How can Create an alias in orion?

I have a plroblem, i'm using apache like web server, there is a site working, Somebody assign me the task for use orion like jsp server, in apache there are alias to folders with images and another files and directories, i want check this site from orion and appears errors, i suppose that errors are cause the alias, i would ask you how create these alias in orion.
Another doubt, how can run apache an orion together.
I have modified the archives xml in orion for restrict certains directories (in directories config and default-web-app), but i must acces into orion services, i made some examples for try, i can use this in the site running in apache.

you dont create a infopack on DTP rather you need to create on datasource.
rightclick on datasource - create infopack (when you schedule this infopack, it will load data only till PSA. From there you need to use DTP to load to further data targets)

I'm using Apex v4.1.1.00.23, and I'm having a problem when using page aliases in URLs.
When creating a list with links to Apex pages, if I use a page alias, then no checksum is generated. I tried this using the "classic" way to create list entries (i.e. "Create list entry" and entering desired values in the "Target" region), and also using a dynamic list and an SQL query.
For example:
SELECT 1
,'First page'
,apex_util.prepare_url( 'f?p=&APP_ALIAS.:1:&APP_SESSION.::NO:1::', p_checksum_type => 'SESSION')
FROM DUAL
UNION ALL
SELECT 1
,'Second page'
,apex_util.prepare_url( 'f?p=&APP_ALIAS.:second_page:&APP_SESSION.::NO:second_page::', p_checksum_type => 'SESSION')
FROM DUAL
For the second link, I always get "Session State Protection Violation", but the first one works fine.
Both pages have the "Page Access Protection" set to "Arguments Must Have Checksum".
I tried to set up an example on apex.oracle.com, but it seems that in v4.2 this problem is fixed :)
So, is there any way to use page aliases while session state protection is active?
