Shot FIRESTORE... P2 24p... now pulldown isn't working... Cinema TOOL??

I shot 24p on the Firestore... Panasonic HVX200... I dumped all orignal footage to a Firewire Drive. However I am having trouble importing the footage into Final Cut at 24p... It seems like the duplicate frames are not flagged and can not be removed. I have tried using the Frame Rate converter but then I lose audio sync. Does anyone have a work flow suggestion for me. I am running 5.1.4? The footage looks great but how do I get it to be true 24p?
Can Cinema TOols help me?

When you strip pulldown via Cinema Tools, it rewrites the file to 24 fps timecode, so recapturing isn't possible, in my experience, when the tape media is 29.97 timecode.
If you're working offline/online, yes, 24pA is better because when FCP strips the pulldown, the file retains the 29.97 fps timecode. That is, frames, and those timecode numbers, are simply skipped.
I hope you have a copy of the FCP project file back when it was still 29.97 fps cause you'll might need that clip info when you have to recapture. Though I suppose a logging sheet that corresponds exactly to your clips could suffice...

If you're phone is in recovery mode, then all your data is already wiped off. you'll need to proceed if you want to use your phone.
However after it is done recovering, you can restore back from your backp.

Tried to reinstall Tiger and now trackpad isn't working

I am getting ready to sell my iBook G4 and got a copy of Tiger to do a wipe and install for the new user. When I first put in the DVD the installation screen started up with a picture of a mouse and batteries. I don't have an external mouse (and never have) and managed to bypass the screen to find that the DVD wasn't recognizing the trackpad. I rebooted into the old OSX and the mouse worked fine. So I tried again to boot from the Tiger DVD and still, mouse isn't recognized. I go through the install anyway thinking that it might fix it. But now the trackpad isn't recognized at all. I've tried resetting the PRAM (I think, I did ctlopt+pr). And I have also done the shiftctl+optpower button (although I might not have done it correctly, I just pressed and held all buttons in sequence for a second and then let go, is that right?). Still it doesn't work. What else should I do? It was working fine under the old Tiger, but the new install isn't. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I just fixed the problem by running software update and updating to 10.4.11

It should be back up now, they had a system outage. Reset your iPhone.

I used a G-drive external hard drive for back-up. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and now it isn't working, no back up is happening. Any ideas ?

External backup not working after unplugging

You cannot just unplug a mounted drive, you must first Eject the drive, then disconnect it.
Attach the drive, then open Disk Utility. The drive should appear in the left-side panel in a dimmed mode. Highlight the dimmed drive, then in the DU menu bar select Mount.
That should then mount the drive and make it useable again.

Yes iMessage was barely working before (resetting network settings is what got it sort of working), but after 7.0.3, it's more broken than ever. I can't send ANY texts to iMessage users, even if iMessage is shut off. I tried resetting, I also tried resetting network settings again, but nothing has helped. It won't let me activate it.
FindMyFriends keeps giving me a prompt to connect to iTunes. And no matter how many time i click OK, it just keeps popping up. I have to try to click my way out of it faster than the prompt appears, or i just get stuck in an endless loop. And with how slow iOS 7 is on an iPhone 4, it's a bit if a challenge.
This is the first time I'm actually ready to start looking at other phones, these problem have been BEYOND frustrating.

I have just upgraded to OSX mavericks and now scanner isn't working - every time I try and open the application it won't open and says that it has had to quit unexpectedly. Any ideas what i can do?

Restored my mac from a time machine backup but now iCal isn't working?

There are no calendars listed on the side, not even the ones I had in my backup or the ones that come default in ical. Won't let me create new calendars or sync with icloud to get my cloud calendars. Any one know how to fix this? iCal is currently unchecked in iCloud but that didn't help anything. I tried deleting the calendars folder but it didnt help. I also tried deleting the com.apple.iCal.plist file but nothing changed in ical and perference generated a new one titled: com.apple.iCal.plist.HPjnF3U
Does any one have a solution to this problem? I build multiple calendars for work in iCal so I lost a lot of work and it won't even let me rebuild it.

You can add a new local account in Calendar/Preferences/Accounts - + sign and then CalDAV account.
Do a backup.
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library/Calendars - enter Time Machine to restore.

Thank you trying those steps out. i want to you to review a few things on the phone. Is you Cellular data turn on? Settings>Cellular Data should be green When you access "Messages" in settings, are you able to turn '"iMessage" on and off? Provide us more details to resolve this today.

Changed email now password isn't working

I recently changed my email from gmail to yahoo, I had an update on my itouch, went to update it and in the box where you put your password, it still had my gmail address and I put in my password and it didn't accept it. I went to my Yahoo and had accepted the change and everything, so what am I doing wrong? When I go on itunes with my ipod I see my yahoo address, but not on my itouch.....I'm at a loss, and until I get this figured out, I'm not going to be able to update anything Thanks for any help you are able to give me

It sounds like you changed the password for your GMail account on the iPod to the new password for the Yahoo account. What you have to do is to create a new account for your Yahoo email. To do this go to Settings>Mail....>Add account and select the Yahoo template and fill it in with your specific Yahoo information. You can delete your GMail account if you want by going to that account in Settings>Mail.. >Your GMail account and tapping the delete button.

I upgraded to ios5 and now Twitter isn't working at all.

The app crashes immediately upon opening and the m.twitter.com site won't work in Safari! I have reinstalled and resynched and nothing! I can't use Twitter at all in ios5!

Cinema Tool's pulldown removal and quality

How much quality is lost if you have 24p Normal being run thru Cinema Tools to edit in 24p? When it is transfered to film and video is it really noticable?

Final Cut Pro can remove the “advanced” 2:3:3:2 pulldown without decompressing the video, and hence it’s “in camera” quality can be maintained.------
It doesn't seem to make a big difference to this writer because he goes on to explain the advantages of 2:3 as well... I just thought perhaps someone could coment
